Finding AYAN was one of the best things about my visit to Berlin. Whether you are new to Filipino food or looking for familiar favorites, it is definitely worth a visit. Not only is the menu well-curated (and offers multiple vegetarian options), the friendliness of the staff really contribute to a warm dining experience. The pork adobo was tender, the bone-less bangus well-seasoned, and the calamansi juice fresh. On top of everything else, their dessert menu features turon and halo halo, two of my favorites. The restaurant itself is cozy, and their Tagalog soundtrack made me feel close to the Philippines even in the Berlin winter. It can become full on weekends, so calling ahead is recommended. Once again, to the entire staff, thank you for making me feel at home, kahit isa na lang ako sa Berlin. read more
