I got a laugh from the review below complaining about waiting for an hour from her appointment to see the dentist, she clearly has never been to visit a dental or medical professional in Puerto Rico, typical wait times are on the order of 3-4 hours and appointments are usually just advisory. Dr. Cruz has always been timely for me, except for once when there was an emergency case which he allowed to skip the line.

The office setting in Plaza Las Americas is very beautiful and displays a very modern medical setting, not to mention the spectacular view from the dental procedure office that oversees the San Juan Convention Center. Dr. Gonzalez Lopez is a gentleman and was very very professional and meticulous in his diagnosis and when performing the root canal, he detailed everything he was doing or going to do. He is sensitive to how you are feeling with regards to pain so that he can ensure that it is minimized and that you remain comfortable. The hubby has a thing about getting 3 cleanings done a year…read moreso I got dragged off to our last dental cleaning session this week before we leave St. Thomas. It was a great experience as usual. From the very nice receptionists out front to Evelyn my hygenist it's always easy to come here. Dentists office visits for me are the worst, you never know of what torture they'll put you through (then they stick you with a bill) but we've never felt that way here. Evelyn is great, she's very gentle and thorough with cleanings and examinations and is such a easy person to talk to. All of the hygienists my hubby has had have also been the same way so you're in good hands. This office is fully operational after the hurricanes (their land phone line and credit card systems work) and they will follow up with you for reminders on all of your appointments. Even though this dentist is out of network for our insurance it's still the only place we'd go to for dental care! #St.Thomas #USVI
