Soo this is my second time here. First time was a few years ago and I truly expected more from the…read morefood from what I had remembered but alas, it was a let down. Glad this area has some nice restaurants but maybe coming for drinks is a thing here vs for good food? We were seated quickly and order taken right away. Got a cucumber mule which was ok, and then I got mahi tacos and rice and my husband got the chicken tacos and rice. Tacos had flavor but pricey for just two and no sides. The rice, it was so bland, why bother?! I didn't even eat half of it and I usually do not waste food. Restaurant has a nice atmosphere right by the river with a rooftop deck for sitting outside and after 5, can park for free in the lot next door. Will I go back, unfortunately probably not.

We had visited this restaurant before and had a nice meal. We happened to be in the area, so we…read morefigured we would go there again. We were quite disappointed this time. Although the atmosphere was pleasant (good music, nice lighting), the food was not. First off, the portions were way smaller this time. I ordered a side of Spanish rice ($3.50) and it was literally about three (small) table spoons, child portion. My fish tacos were awful. There was barely any fish, just a lot of uncooked onions, red sauce (which was supposed to be on the side due to the heat) and crema. Although the waitress was nice (and offered to bring me something else) she should have made sure the meals she was bringing out were done correctly in the first place. What if I had been allergic to heat? or preferred dairy free ? My tacos were drenched in crema (sour cream) to off set the sauce they had forgotten to put on the side--frankly, the dish did not look very appetizing I barely ate any of it. Sadly, we will not be returning. **Update: The restaurant was kind enough to reach out and reimbursed me for my meal. Changing the stars to reflect that.

I love food trucks! I've tried food from a lot of different food trucks... from all over the…read morecountry. And I reeeeeeeally wanted to love the food at My Eva. But you know what? I just... didn't. I've been following them on Facebook for a while, and I finally timed things so that I was free from meetings and could drive over to their location to grab lunch that day (sidenote: I was also at my intermittent fasting window... which meant I was READY to get some tasty food!). I found the My Eva truck at the location noted on their Facebook page for that day, approached the truck, checked out the menu, and ordered a couple different items to sample: a chicken quesadilla, nachos with pork, and 3 al pastor tacos (not the combo, just the tacos). While it felt like service was slow, I'm actually not deducting stars for that. I had read on their Facebook page that they were understaffed and asking for patience, so I expected some delays. Also, a member of the team had asked what car I was in when I ordered and offered to bring the food to my car so that I didn't have to wait in the rain. Wanting to support (somewhat) local, I also provided a 25% tip on my order... which, having now tried the food, feels overly generous. Sadly, I've just never tasted any Mexican food that was so... lacking in flavor. The chicken quesadilla was more oily on the outside than anything (I only ate 3 bites), the pork on the nachos was super fatty/rubbery (couldn't finish the nachos), and there was very little *to* my al pastor tacos (why not throw some *actual* pineapple in there? Or provide different options for salsa... as opposed to watered down hot salsa, etc... and also, flour tortillas that didn't seem stale? That would help). Everything just missed the mark. So disappointing. Maybe something's gone awry due to the staffing issues? I have no idea. I just know that if my food today is indicative of anything, then I won't be back. While I appreciate the pleasant service, there are a lot of other restaurants out there that can offer both pleasant service + quality food. In my experience, My Eva isn't one of them... so I won't be returning. I hope other folks have better lunch with food from this truck than I did. :-/

I wish we could have tried more. I got to try a friend's beef nachos. I really liked the flavor of…read morethe beef (and the owner told us he freshly prepared the tortilla chips). The staff is very friendly, and the food truck seemed very clean. I kind of am kicking myself for not ordering some tacos right now!
