2 months ago Anthony came out to replace our 13-year old gaskets. I never inspected his work until June 7, then found out he had done absolutely nothing. He had not even removed the old, seven-foot long, creosote-covered, baked, frayed, loose gaskets, and he just stuffed a broken section back in. I contacted James the stove manager and sent him pics of the gaskets. He sent me Anthony's own pics of his work as proof--and they are the same pics! We both have sets of pictures of the same old gaskets. James deadass told me, "I'm looking at 2 feet of new gasket right now." Curiously, the gasket is 7 feet long and the 2 foot section is that broken section. I talked to the owner, Guy, and finally had to send them pictures of a new gasket taken from a woodstove DIY video. Our last interaction went like this:

Good morning Matt, here is what I have on record for your service call. The original call is listed here as you see. If the other gaskets needed replacing the technician would have replaced them at that time. The work order calls for the catalyst gasket to be replaced and others checked. We did show up and perform work on your stove, you're responsible for the service call and the gasket. Thanks

Good morning. I would like to reiterate that the reason I went there was to change the address, and that it should be [redacted] under my name.
Anyway, I would like to show you and Guy. The first pic will be an "old" gasket in a DIY video, and as you can see it does not look nearly as bad as our 13-year old gaskets.
The next pic, from the same video, shows a new gasket, which we all should not need pictures of--it is new. It looks new.
The last pics are the actual stove after Anthony left. James sent me Anthony's pics and they look the same as mine, probably bec it's the same gasket. I do not know how you can say "I'm looking at 2 feet of new gasket in these pictures."
There is also the matter that the gasket is more like 7 feet. I still have the "2 foot" section that was supposed to be replaced. This is the one that Anthony had just shoved back into place.
He did not replace any of the rest. If he DID "check them" he should have replaced them. Honestly what check is needed? I asked for them to be replaced, so it doesn't matter how old they are. I did not ask to be billed for a shine job.
For the pics, the ones of my stove will be sent as separate links due to file size.
See the side door gasket. See how it is white but old. Still there. Just like the other creosote-covered crap in the top that I had agreed to pay $175 to replace.
You made sure I know that I am responsible for the call and the gasket; there is no gasket so maybe I need to remind YOU of who is responsible for what. Don't ever patronize me like that again. That cements my resolve to demand a refund.
The work was not done and this is taking a long time and I'm getting sh**. So, I just want a refund. Unless you want to send someone with integrity up here and guarantee your work and not bill me for this utter trash treatment. Thank you.
