Drs. Stephen and Ashley were our family chiropractors for the past 5 years when they were practicing chiropractic in California. We will miss them now that they have repositioned to Florida, but Port Orange is luck to have such talented, caring chiropractors set up business in the city. We used the care and services of Axis Chiropractic very regularly over the past 5 years. My wife went to them for treatment while she was pregnant with our youngest daughter, which helped relieve some discomfort during pregnancy and worked on positioning of the baby in preparation for birth. Both of our girls got regular chiropractic care because of their active lives and growing bodies. I am a "weekend warrior" and always did a great job of tweaking something on a run or in the gym (or spraining an ankle) and Drs. Stephen and Ashley always got me back on track quickly. I loved that they use technology to look for misalignments instead of just cracking a back based on a habit or formula. Their care is specific and selective. I used to "test" Dr. Stephen by not telling him where my problem area was and he is so intuitive with body work that he always got to the problem area. He is a wildly skilled and intuitive doctor. I initially went to Axis because I dislocated several ribs during a severe coughing episode. I'd never been to a Chiropractor before and didn't know what to expect, but now I am so glad I went. For decades prior to this I had suffered with chronic back pain and had been treated by orthopedic doctors and physical therapy with no lasting results. In fact, I had spent thousands of dollars on their treatments but the pain continued. When I went to Axis Chiropractic for my initial evaluation, Dr Steven explained that my ribs had popped out because I had pretty severe misalignment. He started treating me for both the dislocated ribs and my other neck, spine, and pelvis alignment issues. Today, the ribs are staying in place and my back pain is completely gone! I went to Dr. Steven for 2.5 years, and I had an amazing experience! Dr. Steven is friendly, skillful, knowledgeable, and great at explaining what he's doing. I came to Dr. Steven when I had an acute neck issue, which he helped clear up quickly. I had a lot of chronic back and joint pain throughout my 20s, and despite a round of traditional chiropractic care, it did not resolve. Dr. Steven quickly diagnosed my Atlas issue, and after 4 months of 2x/week visits, I moved to maintenance care about 1x/week. My joint pain disappeared, my back improved greatly, and I've had less headaches. I was under Dr. Steven's care during my pregnancy. He started caring for my daughter at 1 week old, until she was 1.5 years old, when he and his family moved to Florida. My husband joined in to the family plan, and his back pain improved. The monthly plan was affordable in our situation for such regular care, especially since it was out of network for our insurance. I also appreciate how they handled moving, and transitioning their California practice to a trusted friend and colleague. My family has continued with Dr. Brandon, and we've continued to have an excellent experience. My favorite part was the connection with Drs. Steven, Ashley, and the girls.
