It was self-help, I learned more on eating disorders and how much damage I was doing to my body. All the therapists there are amazing, they push you to do things that give you that pit in your stomach telling you not to. They challenge you to take some risks and get you out of your comfort zone sometimes. The other patients there that I am very grateful to have met, have really pushed me out of comfort zone and even though at the time I wasn't really okay with it, it was worth it. The staff members at RCC are really motivational and positive, they help you every step of the way. Although not every day was all rainbows and unicorns, I had my share of negative days and yes I did get frustrated with the staff and rules from having to scrape your plate, having to meal-plan (which can be very very frustrating) and the darn calorie increases. As much as I complained about scraping your plate and meal-planning, etc it was worth it in the end of treatment. Recovery never has a finish line, I felt that I could truly embrace myself and show everyone there, the "real" me and not feel judged or ashamed. I have learned and grown so much from my experience there, and one of the most important things I've learned is "You can start your day over at anytime"

She works with her wife and they are NLP therapists which isn't really a real therapist. The NLP website says anyone can pay for that certification. Also their evaluations and classes are much more expensive than other providers and they do not have an automated program. Good luck with this group of "therapists"

The office has very poor communication, the receptionist was rude, all around unhelpful. I waited 2…read moremonths trying to get my son in for testing only to find out that while the doctor is able to perform the testing- she doesn't do it in her office. I was only told every time that I called (because they never called me back) that she can do the testing but didn't have the test kit- and was spoken to with a rude, annoyed tone of voice. Finally at my wits end, I asked when she would be getting the test kit and was just told 'she wouldn't be because it was too expensive and she didn't have the right equipment in her office.' I have no idea why that was not communicated to me two months prior. Two months I wasted that I could have had my son in somewhere else!! Why were they annoyed with my calling? Do they not like having new patients? Or are they put out by parents trying to get care for their children? I wish I knew the answer, but hope that no one else wastes so much time and puts up with such rude behavior by someone who is supposed to be helping children.
