After attending a sales seminar, we signed up with a major media group in the area to develop, and host our company's first website. Didn't do any "shopping" and thought what we got was a good product. Having never dealt with website editing, learning the user interface was a new challenge, and the interface itself was all I ever learned. Again, I thought it was a good product.
We were approached by Axcess, and made the decision to change based on a couple factors. First was the promise of a better website. We looked at many websites designed by Axcess, and they did look better. Ownership and cost were other factors. Based on switching over to Axcess, we will save $660 our first year, and over $2000 per year following. An added benefit is now we own our domain name, and can take advantage of all the analytical tools that are available.
The transition was painless. Deadlines were met as promised. Costs remained as promised. The final product was as good as promised. Support has been there from the beginning, and immediately available when needed. I can honestly say that the major media group we were using before had their support in North Carolina, and sometimes being timely didn't happen.
The biggest benefit that we have found for our business is to have the tools to be able to change our website on our own. The website editor is an incredibly intuitive and powerful tool, but extremely simple to useAfter attending a sales seminar, we signed up with a major media group in the area to develop, and host our company's first website. I cannot stress this enough. From my experience, Axcess can "do it all" for you. If you need a "build it and they will come website," they can do it. At the same time, Axcess will allow you the freedom to create your own material, and is there to fix what you mess up, or guide you through the process. This is where I am. I want access (pun intended) to everything our site. There was teaching and training given by Julie at Axcess, and I promised her no more than three "can you put that back" phone calls.
Now some name dropping. Our website is www.themakersmarketalabama.com It is a very simple, straightforward site. It represents our physical store - simple. My wife Beth is the owner of the store, and my name is David. We were using our Facebook page much more than our website, but now with our new Axcess site, we are trying to balance it better. If you want to know if results on search engines are great, search us. Again, as promised.
(Seriously, if you can type a letter on a word processor and post a picture on Facebook, you can make a web page. The web interface provided with your new Axcess website will make your page look so much better!)
This is my first Yelp review. Hope it helps you. Any questions, find me on our website. read more
