We had our dog at this place for about two weeks. The first…read moremeeting, after the first week, the owner was at the front desk sleeping. He told us our dog was untrainable and should be put down. That he has an explosive personality that would only get worse. [our dog is 9 and had only improved sense we rescued him] We were told that we baby the dog and that we are the reason our dog was the way he was. The owner basically gave zero direction towards the training itself. He was aloof and didn't want to know the relationship between owner and dog. The owner was informed of the triggers of the dog and still proceeded to place our dog in situations that would cause the dog nothing but stress. He also told us about the fact that he would NEVER rescue a dog because that was "Dealing with other people's problems". When picking up our dog we had noticed that our dog was covered in his urine and feces, leading me to believe that the owner and trainers left our dog in his own bowl movements because they couldn't get him outside. If you have to take your animal for training or anything Wellness related, I suggest looking somewhere else. Don't put your dog through stress with these trainers, they don't care about your animals. I would honestly give 0 stars if possible.

Sarah worked tirelessly with us to help Duke. Not only did she give us great lessons at our home, we also went on walks and to dog parks. During this, noone came to step in or redirect as she was unsupervised. No handler was present while this occurred and she broke a single wooden fence panel; half of it actually. I was told later that the fence was already in poor shape. I was told services would be discontinued for both daycare and training unless I was present, which defeats the purpose of using daycare in the first place. While I completely understand being resposible for damages, you cannot expect someone to pay BLINDLY, without an itemized list or proof. The situation escalated when I went in to pick up my dog and ran into the contractor hired from TWO hours away to fix not one, BUT 10 panels, yet I was told I was only being charged for one (which was $250 btw) He was very unprofessional and stated I was basically being charged for the time the other dogs were unable to use that space during the repairs and stated that I din't give a sh*t about the other dogs. Very excessive and uncessary. On top of that, the owner did not come out of her office to discuss the issue. Prior to my arrival I asked for an itemized list of materials to justify the cost. That was not given. This place is very dismissive and lacks basic customer service. Little transparency around the cost and overall, handeled poorly by all. The experience came across as shifting all of the responsibility on the customer, rather than taking some part as my dog should feel safe in their care for the HOUR she was there. I hope you enjoy your 10 new fence panels, eventhough it CLEARLY shows 1 needed replacing for $250! The other boards, untouched by my 40lb dog I guess also needed replacing?! No. What a joke. I would never reccommend this place to anyone, because if they need something fixed, they'll use you to pay for it.

We had never used a kennel before, and were a little apprehensive due to our lack of experience. However, my daughter was very familiar with Sundance and highly recommended it. So, we decided to give it a try. I reached out and got a quick response. After confirming the dates I was looking for, they were clear in their communication with rates, what was needed (up to date Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella vaccines) and what was available (food, walks, playtime and medical administering). Dogs have their own "runs" with indoor and outdoor spaces and comforts from home are welcome (your own food, treats and toys). Morning and late afternoon hours are available for drop offs, which is very convenient. We added 3 walks a day and 3 playtime sessions. The outdoor time really helped our tripod acclimate to her new surroundings, even though she was a bit timid at first. The staff was very understanding of our initial concerns, and very reassuring. They took good care of her, making sure to keep an eye out and give us up dates. If you've never used a kennel before, Sundance is a great place to start. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, well kept grounds and immaculate kennels. I'm happy we found a kennel we can trust!
