This is a little cafe in the back of a boutique. If you're walking down the street looking for a…read morecafe you might miss it! We came 30 minutes after they opened and their cake selection was not ready yet unfortunately. If you want the full menu come a few hours after opening. The prices for the tiered menu is a little wild for me. However, their prices for the regular food and drinks are reasonable. The sandwich was delicious, and a very good size to split. However they do charge a $2 sharing fee which i find silly when places do this. Their drinks were also very yummy and the caramel latte had a cute caramel swirl on the foam. The table placements are so gorgeous and just a lovely vibe overall. I do wish there was maybe a wall barrier or divider from the cafe and the shop because it does feel very cluttered and compact. The customer service is AMAZING. They have such kind people working. I called in to make a reservation and the lady that picked up was so kind and patient explaining all the levels of the services. The baristas were so so sweet and easy to talk with. Genuinely the best customer service i have ever had at a cafe.

An icon of Tacoma and Seattle's history, if you are a native, tourist or just a business traveler…read moregoing through the airport, you may not recognize the name of Smith-Western, but you will have a very high chance of being their customer. Smith-Western sells postcards of Seattle and the Pacific Northwest, calendars, mugs, shot glasses, tote bags, change purses, acrylic water glasses with straws, journals and more. They also sell these items to major cities and other locations worldwide. That NY NY tote bag you purchased at JFK? Probably made in Tacoma. This company was founded by a WWII vet who is no longer with us but he had a passion for photography and people, beginning his business by selling postcards of photos he took of Seattle out of his car in the 40's. His business took off from there, not only being one of the biggest souvenir companies for Seattle, but worldwide. You can order custom made postcards, coloring books, sticker books, journals, photo albums and more. Basically, whatever you want for your tourist shop or business, they will make it for you. Those playing cards in Vegas? Yep. A board game of Yellowstone? Sure. A Paris umbrella? No problem. I recently purchased 200 postcards of Seattle. They are on good card stock, and I went for the bling with some glitter. Everyone I have given one to so far has commented on the glitter. Win win.

We need more in the area and we were glad to find this gem…read more The staff are friendly and helpful and they have a huge variety of vendor/sections that you will undoubtedly find something that will catch your attention. Unfortunately some of these shops sell re-purposed antiques, which I find annoying and hate. This one is not that way. While they do have some new items in some of the spaces, it's largely "antiques." We ended up buying a couple of empty frames for art that we had and will definitely be back regularly to see what the vendors have to offer!

When I went to pick up the hutch at the shop, the shop was small, but full of incredibly crafted pieces that had been reworked with love, detail and talent. When I started looking around in the shop I found a desk that was perfect for my wife and bought that too. I also found a coffee table that I liked, but it had already been sold. The shop was small, but everything in it was worth looking at vs. shops with too much stuff and only a 10th worth looking at. Both Debi and Sarah were very accommodating with holding our purchases in their store for a couple days while I scrambled up a vehicle to pick up the great treasures that I was able to find in their store. I may not make it to Sumner very often, but the next time we need a piece for our house, I will make the trip to their shop first before going somewhere else.
