When I asked an employee in the produce department where a scale was, he said, "No." I said that there HAD to be one as I needed a certain amount of white radish. He just stared back at me. The other employee next to him pointed to the far corner. Now, the "flank steak." As you can see from the picture, OVER half of the steak (blanched) is fat and membrane! It only comes packaged. I thought it had a thin membrane covering it, which would have been acceptable if it was over a long piece of steak. Didn't have time to go back. I arrived home at 6:30p and had to use it because the soup cooks for four hours and was being delivered tomorrow morning. (I hope that one star anise does not overpower the broth!) I should have had them unwrap it before purchase. Once, I bought a doong/joong/zongzi there that I unwrapped a few days later. It was moldy. When I returned it, no apology. Twice I slipped in this Store, fell on my back, and was unable to get up for More than 10 minutes…read more The first time, not too long ago, before the store was shut down for bankruptcy, I reached down to pick up the basket around the "Customer Service Counter " and slipped because the floor was wet. The second time, the fall was again because the floor was wet from a water drip while an employee was stacking food in the upright freezer. The fall was worse; my right leg became stiff, and I could not move. Asked the employee to call 911, who came and helped me walk to my car. HERE ARE SOME SAFETY SUGGESTIONS FOR THE CUSTOMERS. 1. Watch out for any dampness on the floor; alert the staff to mop the area. This store does not seem to have adequate staff to constantly monitor safety issues and take immediate "Corrective Action". If they do, they huddle around the office area. 2. Avoid baskets and use only shopping carts. The cart will provide support against any potential slips. Do not leave carts unattended. 3. Don't keep the upright freezer open too long. This will minimize condensation, maintain the require temprature range, and help food shelf life. You need to exercise your civic awareness. 4. Be very careful around the Produce Section. This is one area prone to having a wet floor. 5. Don't instinctively lift a fallen person unless he or she asks you to help. Let a professional Paramedic (911) handle it. 6. I will bring it to the attention of the City of Houston to request to carry out a diligent inspection.

The rice literally had bugs crawling all over it, and when washed even more light brown colored bugs show up. Imagine selling that type of nonsense. I have never been to a place such as this, the manager was not in, and she was just rude. Save your money and go somewhere else. There are 20 other grocery stores in this area.
