Here are some things that took me by surprise due to my lack of preparation: a. Be aware that NU does not have a kiosk or counter at the airport. They do offer a shuttle back and forth, the lot is 10 mins away. b. NU is a franchise owned and operated by America Auto, which deals in independent car rentals and, among other things, buys/sells used autos and rents moving trucks. c. You're going to be driving a [clearly] used vehicle. The one I got was good enough for what I needed, but it was filthy dirty outside (I could barely see through the windshield when I first got in), and looked and smelled a bit musty on the inside. d. Your used vehicle is going to have nicks and dents - as the owner said "it's a used rental car, it's going to have wear and tear." Don't expect to impress anyone with what you get. e. You're not promised a full tank when you pick up the car - mine had 3/8ths of a tank. But you only have to put in as much gas as you use - if he gives it to you with 3/8ths of a tank, that's all it has to have when you return it. I drove my car for 4 days and only used $10 in gas. I'm not disappointed and I won't say anything negative about my experience - I would rent from this firm again knowing what I know now, but it's certainly not for everyone.

I was so bummed because I signed those papers, saying that I am purchasing the car as is. Hoping it was just bad gas I figured I would let it sit over night and try again in the morning. That night, I did some internet research on this particular car and the problem I was having seemed to be common with this model. Morning came and it was still not starting. I called Auto Dimensions and explained to them what happened. They came by my house thirty minutes later with the mechanic, looked at it, and decided to have it towed back to the shop to fix it up. WOW. They showed so much integrity and wanted to make sure I was satisfied. After they put some bucks into fixing it and fixing some things that could potentially be a problem, I picked up my new to me car. I thanked them so much for being good me. They said it was no problem. If they knew it was a problem they would have fixed it before I bought it and apologized for the inconvenience. I would recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a car. They are good people.

Extremely unprofessional. I had a reservation for a 10pm pick up. I did not receive any…read moreconfirmation email. I called the day of. The guy told me to come at 8. I was there at 755. No one was there. There was a second address on the website. I drove there arrived at 802. There office was not there. I called and was told her left like 20-30 mins ago. He'd call his brother to come back. i asked if I needed to go to the other location his response was "Jesus Christ just get another booking" I was taken aback bc I just asked where I needed to go. I drove back to the other place. Call again he says oh my brother didn't answer. The guy was crappy with me about there being 2 address and pretty much called me a liar. When he verified. His tone changed. He told me they only had a Mercedes but it was dirty not trash just ashes and weed. I needed to vacuum and wipe it down. Umm no. Then tells me to come back in the morning. Also no. I told them I was picking up my step kids and it absolutely can not smell like ciggs or weed. He assured me it didn't. They apologize for the confusion and tell me they don't take reservations. Yes you do it on your site. They said they get stood up too much. So it's just first come first serve. I said I called to confirm and he said yeah but people still dont show up. Brother gets there. Calls some guy up to come get the Mercedes. I fill out the contract the guy comes we swap cars. I honestly don't care what kind of car it was. Just having to wait longer pissed me off. I went to pay and gave my card he said no the fee is high just cash app me. I get in the car to leave. It smells like an ash tray even though the contract says no smoking. And if the vehicle is dirty a fee will be assessed. The gas light is on. The air in the tires 45, 40, 32, 28. Oil change light on. It took me from 7:55pm to 945pm to pick up a rental car from them. I called the next 20 mins away. I get there no one is there. They show up sit in the car Another shows up they sit there and chit chat. I asked what we were waiting on his my brother check you in so he needs to check you out. His brother is over there cleaning out his car. Finally he came over. I made him cash app my deposit back. On the spot. Return took close to an hour and he did was send a cash. And told me I should have fixed the tires. I would rather watch paint dry and than deal with this show.
