However children who challenge us I have come to find have a capacity of great intelligence and it shouldn't be reprimanded but instead guided with great love and patience so that the potential is not stunted but instead flourishes. At CMSG, Athena had flourished beyond my expectations. Her socialization with her peers had improved her verbal communication immensely within weeks. And after months, after keen monitoring, her interests guided her to her strengths and in which case was mathematics. Athena was in preschool age counting, adding, subtracting and even multiplying. Imagine the feeling of asking your preschooler what was 2 x 3 and they know! I was astounded. It only goes to show the value of the Montessori Method, that running with the interest and personal strengths of the child optimizes learning. It's very intuitive and requires a love which there was an abundance of with the CMSG family. She made great friends and was introduced beautifully to cultural diversity which promotes community value and respect on a larger scale. These are the foundations in children I feel are overlooked and undervalued in public schools. It wasn't easy making the tuition but I will absolutely stand by the fact it was worth every penny. Giving your child a solid head-start is priceless and as a parent we want to give our children the best. I believe CMSG was the best decision we made for our baby. I love Julie and Dan and have great faith in them to root your child(ren) well for their best beginning. ‍

Overall, a clean and safe environment option for daycare. Most of the teachers are sweet and…read morecaring... there were some teachers who lacked patience and some turnover (they were just fillers and didn't like teaching). The best part is that the children are learning a lot, in both English and Spanish which is a huge bonus! There is a set curriculum. They try to get parents involved in family events, which were very enjoyable. Shout out to my favorite sweet teachers: Ms Sophia and Ms Kerri.

I feel like my wife and I dodged a bad situation bringing our child here. The professionalism is…read moreextremely lacking. If they can't get something as simple as customer service and being professional in order why would I entrust them with my kid? At first we called the Downey location but they said there was a waitlist of 1 year but that the MLK location would have IMMEDIATE enrollment. We didn't mind joining the waitlist for Downey while still enrolling our child at the MLK location. Downey is on the way to where I work and though MLK is a bit out of the at but I would have made it work for the time being until Downey had a spot. Downey location sent me a PDF form that already had another family information all over it-clearly a violation of their privacy as now I had their name, address, child's name and other sensitive information. Emailed Helia back letting her know but received no response. I proceeded to try to call MLK; the phone would ring and ring and then it would disconnect as if someone was denying the call or picking up and hanging up. I then decided to use the texting service that they claim "responds in minutes." Yes, maybe the automated portion responds in minutes but as soon as a live agent takes over it's an extremely long wait. 4:15pm someone tells me to "hold on while I connect you with someone who can help..." 4:26pm I ask "how long should I wait?" 5:30pm didn't have anyone connected so I messaged back "hello." 7:15am the next day someone replies back without even acknowledging the wait. I didn't mention it until the information I received that there would be a waitlist for about 6 months at MLK. What happened to IMMEDIATE enrollment? Then they have the nerve to tell me that using the online chat is the quickest way to get a response, not calling or texting. Why do you have phone numbers listed and text services available if it's a terrible way to communicate with you? What if there's an emergency that I need to pick up my child? Yea, no thanks but this place is a hard pass. They might be affordable compared to other care centers but as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for." TLDR; There is a major disconnect between centers even though they claim to be affiliated. They have no regard for privacy since they blindly send out forms without checking if there is another families information on them. Their customer service is abysmal since they didn't pick up multiple phone calls and left me waiting for more than 12 hours on the text service or respond to emails.

We are beyond grateful we met her and Miss Jasmine. They are very kind, caring, and trustworthy. They are always positive and supportive while going through transitions. I joke that they not only take care of the babies but also the parents since I've learned so much from them. Before pregnancy, I thought I would never like any of the arts and crafts activities from daycare/school, but when I see ALL the crafts we get from them, I cried. They are very creative! We love them and I know that I can be in piece while working because my son is in good hands.

Joselyn and her attendant Jasmine are so caring and wonderful - not only looking after our kids with so much love and attention but also teaching them to so many new things as well. Our daughter is always happy when we pick her up, excited to go to daycare, and has picked up so many new language and social skills in such a short time. Daily updates and photos are a huge plus. Michelle, the owner, does a fantastic job of keeping the whole community in touch and the organization running smoothly. Field trips, weekend camping trips, and mom/dads' nights are a bonus. Couldn't recommend this daycare/preschool/community more!

I was very apprehensive because this was a new change for me and my son. The first day of day care was very overwhelming, l dropped my son crying out of his lungs and I couldn't help but to feel very emotional questioning If I was doing the right thing. About 15 minutes later I received a call from Mrs. Belinda to reassure me that he was doing just fine. I thought that was very sweet from her because it showed that she cared and understood the situation for both; the child and the mother. Through the years it only got better! My son was being cared by a welcoming environment and warm staff that showed to be very dedicating to the children. I enjoyed that he was given a variety of developmentally appropriate indoor and outdoor activities including singing, story telling, dramatic play and multi sensory fun. The Center also gives homework to the children so make sure to keep up otherwise you will hear it from Mrs. Belinda. She can be strict but that's because she cares and only wants the best interest for the child. My son (now 5 years old)has learned so much from this Center. He confidently knows his ABC's , sings in the car a lot of melody songs, knows the pledge of allegiance, colors, shapes, how to write his name, planets, he even knows his continents (are you kidding me) not to mention he also start learning addition and subtraction. I am forever grateful to Mariposa Child & Infant Center! Thank you so much for all the support through all this years!! We will visit soon !
