This is my second time here, and the level of care is just as outstanding as I remembered. Special thanks to Ms. Keirstin for always bringing positivity and making patients feel truly cared for. Huge appreciation as well to PT Cayley and Michaela--both were incredibly patient, supportive, and instrumental in my recovery. I feel like a new person because of them. The entire staff creates a positive, welcoming environment. The gym is full of energy and encouragement, and you truly feel at home while healing. I also want to recognize the overnight nurse who went above and beyond--checking in multiple times during the night and making sure I was comfortable right up to the end of her shift. I highly recommend this facility without hesitation. Exceptional care, compassionate people, and a real impact on recovery

I was grateful they scheduled a time with me to go over all his care for home. It really helped with making the transition to home easier. As a health care provider myself, I could not be happier with the care my husband received at this facility.

truly the best decision i've ever made…read more i can honestly say coming here has changed my life in every possible way. the staff here is beyond amazing -- they don't just do their jobs, they care. like really care. every single person goes out of their way to make sure you feel supported, seen, and heard. Marissa and Darcy, my case workers, have been such a blessing. they've helped me with everything -- from building a plan for my future to just being there when i needed someone to talk to. they make sure you're not just okay while you're here, but that you're set up for success after -- with school, work, housing, all of it. my therapist Michael has made such a huge impact on me. i've learned more from him in these four weeks than i ever expected to. he's helped me understand myself on a deeper level and actually believe in the person i'm becoming. there are also so many other amazing people who have made this experience what it is -- Grace, Frankie, Drew, Shaun, Sergio, Eric, Renee, Lindsey, Hannah, Justin, Zach, Kayla, Erin, Jordan, Desiree, John, Marcel, Donny, Tiffany, Haley, Mary, Makenzie, and Kristian, and even the cleaning ladies who always bring such good energy and kindness every day. every single one of them plays a part in creating this safe, healing environment. you can feel the love and care everywhere here. the classes are incredible too -- they're real, they hit deep, and they actually teach you how to live again. you learn about emotions, boundaries, relapse prevention, communication, and just how to be a healthy person in every part of your life. and the community you build here... it's like family. everyone is trying to get better together, and the friendships you make are real and lasting. i've met people i'll stay connected with forever. if you truly want to get sober and start over the right way, this is the place. they help you heal, rebuild, and actually find yourself again. i'll forever be grateful for everyone here -- they helped me find hope again.

This is NOT the place to go if you are struggling with your mental health. I was self-admitted due…read moreto a need for mental health support for anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation. It didn't take long to realize that this is very much an addiction rehab and almost none of their sessions directly related to mental health education, DBT, or support. They also heavily push meds here. I was on 6 different anxiety/antidepressant/antipsychotic meds, most of which (or perhaps the combination) made me physically sick, nauseous, and I would go days without eating. For the solution to this from nursing, I was given protein shakes and then was given MORE meds to deal with the side effects of these. When I asked to be taken off one, I was told I was "refusing meds" which at NO point did I refuse something that was needed for me to take. This went on for weeks. After three weeks of treatment, I was abruptly "administratively discharged" by my therapist, just one week before my expected end date. I was told that their facility was "not equipped" to handle my needs, despite having been completely transparent from the time of my intake about my mental health issues. They even claimed my depression was getting worse while there, which unfortunately was accurate. While I understand that there are varying standards for treatment progress, I am deeply concerned that my discharge was handled inappropriately. Specifically: * I was discharged without any follow-up care or referral to ongoing mental health services, despite having suicidal thoughts and self-harm behaviors that my therapist and the treatment team were fully aware of. Again, all of this was mentioned in my intake before I even started. * Upon immediate discharge (literally, immediate. I was not allowed back inside, even to say goodbye to friends) I was given a month's worth of medication, including sleeping pills, without a clear aftercare plan, despite the potential risks for misuse or overdose. This risk was known to my therapist and the medical team, as we had to report suicidal ideation daily on our medical notes. * I was not provided with any support or guidance to manage my transition out of inpatient care safely. The team was aware that I live alone, yet I was sent home with a bag full of a month's worth of medication and no follow-up or additional support from anyone at Pinnacle Peak Recovery. This discharge left me feeling abandoned and unsupported, which is especially troubling given the severity of my mental health needs at the time. Additionally, I felt I was completely rejected by my therapist, with whom I had built a trusting relationship. She essentially gave up on me. Looking back, I believe this situation endangered my well-being and was not consistent with the standards of care expected from a licensed mental health facility that claims to treat mental health disorders. They need to take "mental health" off their website. This place is strictly a 12-step program for those with substance abuse disorders and should NOT be claiming otherwise. I do want to add that the BHPPs and the other instructors/staff were very kind, wonderful people. I genuinely enjoyed getting to know most of them and have made connections with people from this program that I will have friendships with long term . The way my discharge was handled, and the lack of actual support for those with mental health issues during my time there had nothing to do with them. Overall, please DON'T come here for mental health! My situation could have been deadly if I wasn't lucky enough to have a support system back home. Find a different place. This isn't it.

They offer constructive feedback and are quick to tell you what you need to hear - not what you want to hear. The staff overall truly have your best interest at heart and want to see you succeed. They provided me with a sense of care and safety in being vulnerable. The staff is efficient in they're approach and steadfast to being consistent & professional. Thus far, treatment here has been a remarkably empowering and fortifying experience. They're recognition and approach have pulled me up from darkness into an optimistic state. Going to treatment here has given me hope, direction, and the opportunity to identify what I need to do to live a sober life. Recovery is possible (if you want to be sober) and being a client here has given me that chance. Scottsdale Providence has offered me a life-changing experience; that will put me back on the path to a positive, healthy, and sober life I so dearly have in front of me. By far the best nurse I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He was upbeat and helped get my mind off of my pain by just being positive and making me laugh. Such a great character for a gloomy atmosphere! My doctor was also incredibly nice and helpful. Ross Rodgers was the attending physician. A very nice man that wanted to get straight to the root of the problem. Also very upbeat and friendly. Overall, I had a great experience here despite the pain I was encountering. The reason I give this review 4 Stars rather than 5 since my father has received exceptional care is the fact his last hospitalization; the nurses would promise him he was getting discharged that night only to have the Doctor keep him another night. This happened 3 nights in a row. The nurses should not make those statements if they aren't sure. Three nights in a row I rearranged my schedule to drive him home only to be disappointed again. No one likes being in a hospital. And it's worse if you think you're getting out a s forced to stay another night. That being said, Scottsdale Health Care is our ER of choice.
