We didn't have high expectations from such a small shop, out of place with the rest of the shops on the street. The window display wasn't particularly imaginative. However, inside there were a variety of pieces on display which I could immediately tell were good quality. There were soft furnishings such as bedside tables, cabinets and desks, curtains, sewing accessories and fabrics. They had many basic fabrics, but Maurialina also stocked some interesting fabric patterns, blinds and curtains which were unusual and caught my eye. My parents didn't find the right blinds, but bought some fabric for their own shop and were very happy with their purchase. The shop is not too expensive and the woman greeted us with a huge smile, which makes so much difference when shopping.

The result was gorgeous so she was the obvious choice to turn my Broderie Perse bedspread top into a lined bedspread. The bedspread was also a lovely piece of work.
