Came in with the wife, for a relatively late night dinner at 9:30, since they are open till 10:30…read more Big mistake. Ordered lamb tikka masala and saag paneer. No joke : the lamb was almost inedible - it had sat so long in a heated pot and was so overcooked that it was almost impossible to cut, even with a knife. My wife spit out gristle then immediately went for her water. The "masala" tasted and looked like it was just sweetened tomato puree from a can. Disgusting. Saag paneer had uncooked onions though out and almost no taste. This place was complete opposite of a place in enderby called Aspects, which had awesome food. Beware! The one star is for the naan bread.

The last time I ate at The Shagorika was possibly the worst restaurant experience I've had. I…read morecouldn't believe it, because this place used to be the premiere curry house in and around Market Harborough! It was a Sunday afternoon and I was hungry and slightly hungover. A mate and me decided we'd have a curry to make us feel better, as we were starving. We decided on the Shagorika as we hadn't been there in a while and we walked in. We were shown to a table by a guy in jeans and a jumper. I noticed a child asleep at one of the tables further into the restaurant. We were fetched menus and drinks and then the waiter went outside to clean the windows After a while he came back and took our order and ran off to the kitchen. I put my jacket on because the restaurant was so cold. When my food arrived they had forgotten the onion bhajees that I specifically advised I wanted with the main meal not as a starter. They said I could re-order them and they would take a few minutes to cook. I declined. The curry was disgusting. Bland as hell although they said it was medium strength it was a greasy, greasy, greasy concoction of mushrooms, various meats, and boiled egg. It was also lukewarm. I should have sent it back, but I was starved. I ate about half of it before giving up. I'd never seen a plate of food with so much oil and grease. Thinking about it now makes me nauseas. Once we'd finished I got the waiter's attention (not sure what he was doing as the place was empty apart from us) got the bill, paid and left. No hot towels, no how was your meal?, nothing. Also it was quite expensive. I'll never be going back there and instead have found the Moment of India restaurant to serve delicious Indian food and now frequent that establishment as well as Babe Blooz.
