I loved Headmasters hair and have already recommended it to all of my friends, which also has the added bonus of giving me half price off of my next haircut. I was very pleased to get a pleasant service and the perfect beachy waves I asked for. My stylist Steph was lovely, and listened to exactly what I wanted, whilst also recommending products to help volumise my hair without making me feel overly obligated to buy. As well as their recommend a friend offer, they also have a loyalty card system in place, which allows you to gain stamps towards a half price cut. That, if you too are watching the pennies, makes paying for a decent haircut just that bit more justifiable.

The next morning I realized that, even though I loved the experience, the cut didn't suit my face shape as much as I would have hoped. When I called back, I was welcomed back for a complementary correction. From start to end, I felt really taken care of at the salon and would recommend it to anyone. If you're having any doubts, drop them, and call the shop. You won't regret it.

It started well, my stylist was chatty but not annoyingly so- we did the obligatory hometown and holiday talk and then he got down to business. Seriously, it was amazing, so much so that I feel bad about what I'm going to say next... Great head massage, poor hair cut. Unfortunately my stylist did not listen to my concerns about his cutting my layers in a centre parting when I wear my hair in a severe side parting. The result- totally foreseeable and highly irritating- all my layers ended up on one side. In addition to this, I specifically requested minimal use of styling products, yet left the salon with a Saved by the Bell wet-look perm! Curly hair is difficult, no question, but you've got to know how to cut it! You can print a £5 voucher from their website, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend redeeming it!

I wanted a bright dye on some layers of my black (not dyed) hair, and they suggested bleaching it first, but because I was on a budget, I wanted to skip the bleaching -- although I was very well aware of the risk of applying copper-colored dye onto stubborn black hair. Needless to say, it didn't show up very well, and Mel & James were nice enough to offer complimentary treatment after to lift the color. This surprised me, as most hair salons would not offer this kind of generosity. The color in the end, turned out exactly as I wanted! There's a student discount M-W for 20% off and Th-F for 10% off so that's a great deal! My total ended up being 38 pounds, which was well worth it for what I got. I don't think the staff have had much training; both my daughter and I have had our hair cut here and I had mine coloured. We left with styles that can only be described as MULLETS and I had a ring of colour around my face, which the 'colourist' had lazily allowed to stain my skin whilst attempting to colour my hair. When I asked her to clean it, she said it would come off in the shower over the next few washes! Err... £40 (or thereabouts) should warrant some cotton wool and cleanser. But it was the lack of technique of the so-called "stylist" that makes me want to warn all of you to think twice before going to EB UK. After all, if there is anything Eastbourne has a lot of, its hairdressers! So find another if you value your hair.

I am a MALE local entertainer and i needed smartening up urgently. The receptionist was very polite and told me that if i could attend at 3pm that afternoon a Senior Stylist would indeed be able to offer me a wash and cut for £22..Now that may seem a lot more than a lot of places charge for a gent's haircut but you would expect a High End service for that money which is what i was expecting. I turned up at 2.45pm and the lovely DANI attended to me. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed and DANI not only gave me a great cut but more importantly she was interested in what i was trying to achieve with regard to my hairstyle and she produced it exactly to my specifications. I can only speak as i find and must say the whole experience was a delight. I have had some nightmare experiences over the years but i can honestly say this is the best haircutting experience to date. I will continue to use this salon from now on.

Women will say anything to get what they think they want, but 2nd degree burns aren't a priority usually!
