Okay so I drive to the store. Walk in and they ask what I need and I tell them and then, pretty much yelling all they have are straight lines and they have never seen a bent line in their lives in that store. I argue with them till they look it up and they find the one I don't need and tell me tomorrow. I know what I need so I ask about the one that is above the one they don't have. He looks at it doesn't look at me mumbles something and then tells his partner to help out someone else and disappears. When he comes back guess what? He has the formed line in hand! Then after looking at the rusted bent one argues with me that they look nothing alike! I see some differences. It's a aftermarket part. I ask are the treads the same? They are and I said it will work. He yells at me that they are nothing alike and after I can't get it on they will not take it back. I said that's fine because it's going to fit. Guess what? It fits! Total assholes work at the store in weaverville and I will never go in that store again. The chain is a good place for parts but they need to hire people who help and sell parts instead of treating everyone like they are stupid!

I purchased a 6.0 Powerstroke from them 1 year ago along with an extended warranty that they sell…read moreon their website. I had a very reputable dealership install the engine. That engine was no good. The technician advised tore into that engine to find the cam was too tight causing receiving no lubrication damaging the cam sending metal through out. The truck had not been released to me. The company sent another engine that the dealership installed. I had to pay for the tear down of the original engine and all the parts that were damaged by this first engine. In the mean time I received an email from the owner of Asheville Engine and he said they received that original engine back and they found nothing wrong with it and that it was perfectly good and it was already installed in another truck. He also in the same breath said that the parts that were transferred from my own engine are what damaged that engine. So was it perfectly good or was it damaged fast forward to the second engine that only made it 9,000 miles and completely grenaded. A lifter had spun shoot a rod damaging the cam and multiple internal engine parts. Asheville said that it was the dealerships fault. They also said I already used my one time replacement. He said that the aftermarket warranty that I bought was sold to me by the dealership. Again as I stated before that warranty is sold directly from Asheville Engine. It is in the drop down menus when you are selecting add one for the engine purchase. Also in the warranty disclaimer it 100% shows their direct affiliation with Asheville Engine. Rob Newcomb and the shitty warranty are not willing to stand behind their product. They will treat you like their best friend when purchasing but point the finger at everyone else when there is an issue. Rob Newcomb (the owner) said he would no longer speak to me and he was not going to cover anything. This is very poor business. The dealership on the other hand is 100% going to help me thankfully and get my truck back on the road asap. Do yourself a favor and buy an engine anywhere else. I wish I could leave negative stars

All additional parts and components required for assembly were ordered new. Once complete, the engine ran flawlessly and made good power. Fast forward to 2018 and 42,000 miles on the clock, a no-heat condition was identified. After further review, the head gaskets had blown and the heads were also cracked. When I contacted Asheville Engines, the owner (father) immediately pointed fingers at all other possibilities and was certainly not going to entertain assisting with any quality defects. My truck had not pulled any loads and was babied whenever driven. $7000 later after a visit to the local Ford dealer, new o-ring heads and gaskets were installed in my truck and it was back up and running. I personally would never purchase another engine from Asheville Engines. They will be very nice to you when ordering from them, but if you have any issues with their product, you will be very disappointed like me.

They did NOT know how to service…read moreprius and charged me 145$ for something that took 2 minutes (replacing a fuse I already know was missing) and were trying to tell me that it's my Hybrid battery that's the issue and that is the ONLY CODE they were pulling up. Thank goodness I had already gone for a FREE code reading at Toyota and knew it was not that. Gave them the paperwork from Toyota and they put in the missing fuse (I should have done it there. They are way better with Prius and don't charge you for doing NOTHING) They charged me 10$ for the fuse that costs .50 Cents and acted like it took them an hour when I gave them the paperwork for the issue that they couldn't find!! A friend recommended this place bc she's taken her prius. I will be telling her and my fellow prius driving friends (I know a lot of us) not to trust this place. rip off Thievery. -Auraum

After watching my partner deal with Automotive Repair Werks, I would strongly urge others to stay…read moreaway. I would give zero stars if it was an option. They kept the vehicle for over two months. Nearly $6,000 was paid to replace a transmission and fix reported oil and coolant leaks and a check engine light issue. Within days, the check engine light came back on with the same code, and a new clicking noise started that was not there before the repair. The vehicle went back two more times, over $1,000 more was paid, the same leaks were supposedly "fixed" again, and the problems continued including a misfire. They lied to him after stating that the new clicking sound coming from the car after the transmission replacement was a CV joint that they didn't touch, come to find out they had to remove the cv joints to replace the transmission. Almost $7,000 spent, three visits, months without a vehicle and the issues still weren't resolved. That speaks for itself. I would stay far away from this shop. They are unethical, unhelpful, uncommunicative, and try to take advantage of customers.

For example, I love my Impreza I bought here but I do have an issue with the lights on the dash always coming on even when they shouldn't (ex- the week after a normal oil change). Did they know about this? Did they not? We will never know. In general, I really liked working with them. They were kind and did not pester. We felt comfortable trying out as many cars as we wanted. The girl worker was super kind but the guy worker was a bit cocky. Luckily I worked with the female and she was a delight and super helpful. Efficient service to get in and out. You can check their selection online but it's not always updated. Best option is to call or stop by. They are super helpful if you have questions or problems. I love that they feel very local and family oriented. They also are extremely fair and honest.

I ended up not buying a car here, as that particular car was not for me and it was the only one they had in my (low) price point. Later on after I had purchased a different car I had a complication with the registration because I had purchased it from an individual. I was unable to resolve this on my own due to being new here, unfamiliar with the state laws of acquiring a car, and not knowing many people here who could help. Out of desperation, I called Travis. He was just as friendly as before and very patient and generous with his time in helping me - with a car that I bought elsewhere. Wow. Ultimately it was the only reason I didn't have to wait a full MONTH to drive my newly acquired car. The woman at the front desk there was also very sweet and friendly, though I didn't get her name. This has broken my bias against used car dealers. I was so impressed and truly inspired by their kindness and helpfulness - it brings to mind the best kind of "old-fashioned" sense of business and community which is so beautiful and refreshing. Skye Autohaus is really good people who are genuinely kind and caring. In a few years when I have more money to purchase a higher quality car, this place will be my first stop.
