I feel bad leaving this review, because it's been almost 2 years since it happed, but it was so…read morefrustrating I still think about it and the world deserves to know my experience. I took my Chevy in for an A/C system check. I told them I knew there was a leak because I could put refrigerant and the A/C would work for a couple weeks, then stop working. After having my car for a few hours, working on it, they called me back and told me they couldn't find a leak and that they'd recharged my system. I told them I knew that wouldn't work and that I was sure there was a leak and I repeated myself: I could recharge my own system but that it would leak out after 2 - 3 weeks. They insisted there was no leak, so I asked that if the A/C died again in a couple weeks if I could bring it back in as proof. They said yes. So I took my car, the A/C worked for 3 weeks, then died. I took it back in and told them there is definitely a leak. They kept my car for a few hours then they called me back and said there was no leak! I told them I was sure there was a leak, to which she said, "the mechanic checked and there's no fluids on the ground under it". Holy stupid !!! Refrigerant doesn't leak on the ground! It's gas! So I just said, "fine, then will you at least recharge my A/C system?" She said yes. Then she called back and said, "the mechanic doesn't want to recharge the system until the leak is fixed". To which I told her "YOU'VE BEEN TELLING ME THIS WHOLE TIME THAT THERE WAS NO LEAK!!!" She then said, "well we think there's a leak, but we can't find it." Pissed me off!!! So I paid them $200 to check for a leak which I told them was there in the first place, they then told me there was no leak, then when I asked them to recharge my system, only then did they acknowledge a leak! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!

I explained what my situation was and they worked me in at 8AM the next morning, checked it out, changed my trany fluid & filter, and was out of there in a couple of hours with the reinforced confidence that everything was fine. Of course it was pouring rain that day, it was end of afternoon, near closing time, I called a few garages but the Gearheads team saved me. They went above and beyond to make sure I could go back on the road safely and most importantly, right away. They took their time to look for the problem and fixed it like a walk in a park. I was lucky enough to have broken down not a miles from Mike's Auto Clinic on I-70 just outside of…read moreRichfield Utah. I called the tow shop up and they pick me & my 24" car trailer up with-in 30 minutes. I live almost 1,200 miles away in Springfield Nebraska. So I had to leave my truck with them to have a transmission put into it. They got the job done in less then a week. I rented a U-Haul van to pull my trailer back home with the wife at my side. I drove back down to get my truck with a friend by using a Enterprise one way rental car. My truck ran fantastic all the way back home the 1,200 miles. I even think it got better fuel mileage on the way back. So today I ordered them Pizza for lunch, I hope they like Domino's Pizza because Lotsa Motsa wasn't open.
