Was looking a part for my truck, and it showed available at the store in stock. I go and they then tell me they can't find it in stock ( great, already started) so I proceed to order the part and it was SUPPOSEDLY going to be delivered that night ( I went early enough the day of) but I went the following day. My key fob became unresponsive. The signal was weak and I had to lock the car manually once or twice. First, I thought this is a battery problem, but I remembered that I hadn't replaced the key fob battery in a long time. I bought the correct battery, and did an internet search for a vendor who would change the battery. AutoZone came up on the search and I called them. They said they would change the battery. I went over to AutoZone and they changed the battery for me and there was no charge.This is a good AutoZone branch, they are helpful and professional. I use them for all my auto supplies. read more

My car broke down the street from here (and of course I was breaking in new 5 inch heels, and was dressed up, wearing a white top). My husband and I uber here to get a starter motor and change it ourselves, I don't mind working on cars. My dad has a tool shop and used to sponsor a racing car when I was a child, I grew up thinking I was gonna be part of the pit crew lol. I came in parking was terrible, I parked in the red outside your store, Humberto asked if he could help me. I had told him my car was saying it was running hot, he asked me what the year, make and model of the car. He asked if it green or blue fluid. I told him I have no idea and if he could show me the options. He said yes no problem, and proceeded to take me to the antifreeze were. There was some confusion and he asked if my car was close. I said yes and we walked out to the car and he asked me to pop the hood and he said if I had water because it looks like your reserve is low. I said no, and asked if he had some water in the store. He said hold on, and he walked to his personal vehicle and pulled out a gallon, a brand new bottle of Crystal Geyser and proceeded to fill my car reserve. Incredible service!!! read more

I have couple of complaints: 1. My car battery died, bought a battery from them & they replaced it for free. 2. Bought a break pad from there once, next time I went there to replace it, they didn't charge me anything for the new pair. They said, it's under their warranty. WTH!!! Today, at 12:35 pm, I went to this Autozone location #5220, 162 S Vermont Ave., Los Angeles, CA. Purchased a steering wheel cover @ $16.41, reference to receipt #969961. I tested the steering wheel cover and it was too big, so I decided to return it at 4:06 pm. Unfortunately, I forgot my receipt and end up asking for exchange and they told me that they will give store credit since I do not have a receipt copy. I agreed to what they want to do, because I understand their policy. With the assistance of Tyrus, the store manager/ supervisor of that location, he gave me a credit of only $15.95, in reference to receipt #604586. I told him that even though I do not have my receipt, I was still able to show him my credit card charges, which was $16.41. Yet, he still believed that the credit was correct after adding up with the tax. I believed the imbecile and liar Tyrus is obviously arrogant because he pretends to be smart. So, I went on purchasing another steering wheel cover, which is cheaper than the first one, it is only $9.99 + tax of $0.48 (total of $10.47). That being said I was still left with $5.48 credit on the Autozone gift card that they issued. Again, we are talking about a credit of only $15.95. Since I do not consider going back to Autozone anytime soon, I let my wife purchased a mace and used up the remaining credit at 4:08 pm. The cost of the pepper spray is $12.99 + tax of $1.23 (total of $14.22), reference to receipt #038794. My wife used the remaining gift card credit of $5.48 and used her credit card to pay the rest ($8.74). So, we left the store with a new steering wheel cover and pepper spray. I tried the new steering wheel cover on my car and it was still big or it is just really a bad quality. Also, I decided to compute what Tyrus was talking about with regards to giving me the exact credit of $16.41, that is when it hit me that the moron gave me only a credit of $15.95 and he was quite a talker to get away with his poor knowledge of math! I went home and looked for the receipt that I forgot to bring in the first place, the receipt that shows the cost of the first steering wheel cover with a total of $16.41. Personally, I could have let this thing slide, because we are just talking about few cents here. But I cannot swallow the ill attitude and poor customer service that was given to me by Tyrus and to let him get away with his big foul mouth, nah! I decided to stand by the principle and have that Tyrus give me back my money for we will just return everything. We went back to Autozone @ 4:42 pm to return everything, of course, we were greeted and remembered by the moron Tyrus and instigating that, "you guys are back already?". I answered him back, "yes, for you gave me a short credit and I will just return everything and I want to report you to the corporate too". Tyrus brushed us off and pretended that he did not heard what I said. As soon as I approached the next counter that is ready to help me, the foul mouthed Tyrus approached and started blubbering his big mouth. I knew this type of personality is always unpleasant, so I started turning on my video on my mobile to record our conversation. In the conversation you will definitely hear how agitating Tyrus can be for he cannot admit to his mistake and he wants me to swallow his poor math knowledge, which I do not understand in the first place how he got his position. Needless to say, I left all the merchandise and the receipts with them for I was done with their poor customer service. Those bunch of moron employees there are mal educated and I won't stoop down to them and waste my time. I walked away and told them that I will just decline the charges to my credit card and report all of them to their cooperate office. Autozone, you better rectify this for this is blatantly stealing and cheating of customer! I will report you to better business bureau if you will not discipline Tyrus and the rest of his team reporting during those hours! I will submit all of my receipt copy evidence and voice recorded evidence too, to show how everything transpired! You owe me $16.41 for receipt #96991 and $$8.74 for receipt #038794! No doubt about it, I am terrible with cars. If you pop open the hood and ask me to name the parts, I'd tell you to just give me an F on this pop quiz. That said, the kind of treatment I received here was beyond horrid. I came here on Sunday (Sept 4) to purchase wiper blades for my car. After providing my make and model proved to be insufficient for them to help, I also gave them my VIN to really make sure I have the right parts. Since it was late in the day, I opted to install the wipers on Monday before I started the drive back to Arizona. Come bright and early, I find that the part itself isn't a match. Hey, we all make mistakes. I drove back to AutoZone and even though I wanted to exchange the parts for the correct ones, the cashier said it would be easier to give me a refund for the wiper blades. I figured sure, I'll just use the refund and apply it to the new ones. This is where it got weird and embarrassing. The total on the machine said $45._ _, although I paid a little over $50 for the wipers. I asked if this was correct, since my receipt has a higher amount. The cashier interrupts and says, "It's not done yet, sir, it's not the final amount." It was said in a rude voice, but I get it. No one wants to work on a holiday. I figured that would be the end of it and I'd get the correct final amount. However, he then says out loud, "...Acting like I'm gonna take your $5....pshhh..." This was incredibly embarrassing because that part was said loud enough that everyone can hear it, possibly assuming that I accused the employee of "stealing." At this point, another employee passes by and says, "customer service fee....$5!!" and fist pounds the guy. The original employee then laughs and says, "Questioning my integrity...$10!!" What the FUCK was that??! Both these guys made me feel like a jackass for an innocent question, and instead of letting it be, they decided to pile on for no reason. I couldn't get my refund fast enough, and I drove over to O'Reilly on Western and got the PROPER parts I should have gotten in the first place. Not only that, they replaced it for me, no charge. Not only would I never recommend this place to anyone, I'd go far as to say this whole operation needs to be re-evaluated. Don't go here. read more

I had some battery issues this morning, I had to call AAA and have them recharge my battery, the AAA rep didn't tell me if I had to replace it or not. Luckily, I came in to this Autozone location and I was helped by David! David gave me some options on which battery to choose from, The great thing about that is that first he checked my battery, to see if I actually needed one first. OH BOY GOOD THING HE DID! He explained to me I didn't need a new battery, my battery just had a hard time starting up due to the cold weather. He is very knowledgeable about his work, he tested my battery in every single way he can, by starting my car, turning off the car etc! He took his time with us! Had an awful experience here, worst by far from any Auto Zone. First, two attendants were helping one customer, which would be fine except they ignored me for about 5 minutes until I finally spoke up. All the aisles were blocked off because there was an oil spill so I couldn't grab the products myself. Upon talking to Martin P., he suggested that I get 5W-30 after telling him I drive a '07 Honda Element. I asked for the extended performance high mileage, and he grabbed 3 different oils that were not that one. And upon doing further research, I came to find that 5W-20 was recommended but Martin insisted on 5W-30 even after I told him that my car takes 5W-20. I also told him I wanted 2 filters but he brought back none. And when I asked him about the filters he asked me what car after I had told him 3 times prior. At payment, I put in the chip in my credit card in but he told me to swipe. I swiped like 5 times and then he told me to put the chip in like it was my fault. Don't write many reviews here. However, my experience here was horrible. Waited for customer service attendant to finish a transaction with a customer (no one else was in line), when he finished, he addressed another customer who was in the store (being assisted by another store worker) and even though the customer didn't reply to him, the attendant left to help. Another customer was attended to before me and someone else had to remind the customer service clerk to come and help me at the check out counter. Waited so long and there were only 3 customers in the store and 3 attendants. As a customer, I am very patient but the service was ridiculous. read more
