I was traveling through the area and needed some replacement auto parts. I called and asked on the phone whether the parts I needed were in stock. When told the affirmative, I requested the Autozone staff to save them under my name and I'd be there within 15 minutes. They were pretty busy when I arrived, but they seemed to be engaged in good customer service with the several people there before me. I had a short wait, then one of the staff assisted me with the car parts I'd previously queried about. I appreciate the good customer service with a patient and courteous smile. I had gone to Autozone after work yesterday (2/23/24) and was helped by two associates. One is a lady with reddish dyed long pony tail and a man named Tony. Both of them are amazing and helped me significantly. My back rear light kept going out and the cover was cracked so when it rained, it always filled up. Replacing light bulbs and having the water drained after every storm was becoming frustrated and they offered me a solution with kindness and no judgement. Tony sealed up my cracked cover and made sure my light worked and offered me low cost solutions when other places didn't. Wonder Woman On the morning of June 9, 2022 my car wouldn't start. The engine wouldn't turn over although the lights came on. After watching YouTube to try and figure out the problem my head was overwhelmed. 7:30am couldn't come quick enough. That's the time they open. Finally they opened and I went in and was greeted by Alexia Gonzalez. She asked what I needed help with and explained what the symptoms were. She told me it might be my battery and that we should check it. I was so excited that it was just the battery. Alexia changed the battery like a super hero! I am a trans woman in early transition and was scared that a man who might have been homophobic was going to make my life more miserable. I was relieved that a woman like Alexia helped me out. She not only knew her stuff but was super nice! We need more woman in spaces like these and I'm glad Wonder Woman aka Alexia Gonzalez was here to save the day! read more

*O'Reilly Auto Parts* in Morro Bay.... Zero stars. Do not. I repeat do not. Go there. I would review on their yelp, but they apparently don't have one. I was greeted by the MANAGER who informed me he was too busy to help me because "he was the only one there" and "can't you come back this afternoon?" When I told him I'd just go somewhere else, he suddenly found two other employees to man the register. THEN, he sold me the wrong size car battery. Went out to my van, undid everything to discover it was the wrong one. THEN he sold me another battery, went outside, took things apart, THEN told me it was too much for him and I'd have to make an appointment with a mechanic. THEN we went inside to get me refunded, and he couldn't figure out how to do that. Yes, he charged my credit card twice. And couldn't figure out how to undo it. So I now have 3 car batteries on my credit card, two of which I didn't recieve and have to dispute the charge. An hour later I got out of there. Went to Auto Zone. They helped me out without issue and 30 min later I drove away with a new battery installed. Highly recommend!!!!! read more

On oct 5 2019 in Morro bay . I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the service of this store . Some of the nicest and most helpful, of Auto Zones I have ever been in. Keep in mind I've never really been a fan of Auto zones . We had vehicle issues on a trip to the Morro Bay Area we pulled in front of this Auto zone, just as the water pump blew. They had the pump in stock. We didn't have any tool with us. They let us borrow their tools and in two hours. We had the vehicle up and running again. We repaired it right out in front of the store. The clerks kept coming out checking on us making sure we had all we needed. Their people came out and helped clean up the antifreeze spill. It worked out for the best we made it to the wedding on time. This particular store went out of its way for us. read more

Awesome customer service! I'm in town for my best friend's wedding and my water pump decided to explode just a few hours before the ceremony. Thankfully they had the part in stock and being away from home they were kind enough to let me use their tools, grab whatever else I needed for the job (basically ran a tab and purchased when I finished) and do all the work in the parking lot (which I'm pretty sure is against most store policies). Got it all done in two hours with enough time to grab a beer at that awesome burger joint two doors down and made it to the wedding on time! Could not have done it without that staff. I went to autozone today to have my battery check since I was seeing corrosion on it and it was not firing up quickly when starting my car. I was greeted by Kaine the sales manager who was incredible. I told him my problem, he quickly looked at my battery, and after testing, he replaced it with a new one at a great price. He went above and beyond by completely cleaning my battery compartment which I didn't expect. He's a rockstar! I would go back to this location if I ever have a problem in the future. Every once in awhile there is a fly in the ointment and each employee has unique experience levels. And if something I need isn't in stock, the staff is willing to look it up on the computer, they tell me the cost and allow me to decide whether I'll order an item or not. My left front blinker was out. My husband who is a firefighter and hardly Home told me to go to auto zone and the guys there would replace it for me. So I went there and was greeted in a friendly matter. I asked if he could change it and he said let me take a look. I went to get my car to park in front of the store. He verified that it was the left blinker. He then open my hood and looked and said I can't change this. My hand won't fit in there. "Look!" And pretty much states it was too much work for him. I looked at him and said I've had guys change the fro t headlights for meno problem. He then continued to tell me again he couldn't do it. I told him I'll just go to the other air parts store where the guys always change the bulbs. He said it's my choice and I said ok. I'll just go to Paso. I read that it's such customer service orientated but I think it depends on if they feel like it. read more

So the Morro Bay Auto Zone has the largest inventory of parts of any parts store on the central coast. When I need an obscure part for my 86 cj7 they will have it 99 times out of 100. Prices are fair and the folks try hard to help you out. read more

I went to this Auto Zone for the first time to get some replacement bulbs for my car. I simply had the names written down on a piece of paper and gave them to the guy at the counter. He went and got them for me and that was that! Everyone there was really helpful and super friendly. They were helping customers with minor repairs in the parking lot and were really great. I give it four stars because it seems under-staffed by at least one person. I was there on a Saturday afternoon, which I'm sure is typically their busiest time. But knowing that, they should have had more than two guys working. Lines for parts and purchases were long, and customers needed assistance with repairs, as well. I love that they're so helpful and nice, they just need more of them. I will definitely go to Auto Zone again, but I'll try to avoid going on Saturdays. read more

The keyless remotes on my rental van barely worked and I didn't know how to change the batteries or what batteries to get. We were on a road with our family for the Labor day holiday and our car show's oil pressure sign while on the road on which we must stop and check oil right away. We manage to see this place from freeway 101 so we decided to stop here to get the oil supply. We were help by Phillip, very nice gentleman who help us check our oil and other related stuff about the engine which we have very little knowledge of. Phillip seems to know well about car engine as he revealed to us that he used to worked for jibby lubes as manager there. It's great to have staff that's knowledgeable and skillful in the related trades. read more
