I want to start off with the fact that I don't typically leave reviews on Yelp, but had such a…read morepositive experience at Carl Black that I felt it was necessary. Given the current economy and used car market, it's been so hard to find a dealer that we have felt is honest and loyal willing to offer inventory at reasonable values who are not looking to take advantage of customers. My wife and I reached out to Carl Black with hopes of receiving an honest opinion. We initially talked to Dixie and outlined our request on a limited budget. She was so friendly and let us know that they had options that would suit our needs. She was very responsive and attentive. Once we described what we were looking for, she put us in touch with Nate Rodriquez. Nate was absolutely the most professional person we have ever met and was attentive to all of our questions and requests. After listening to all of our needs, he recommended we test drive a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado High Country. This was exactly what we were looking for. It was within our budget and an absolute perfect ride. Hands down, this was one of the best decision we have ever made. My wife usually feels uncomfortable at dealerships, but they explained everything and there were no hidden fees. Nate was a complete Rockstar. I will be back for any purchase we make going forward. I would recommend Dixie, Nate, and Jacob Howerton to any of our friend and family looking to make a purchase. I appreciate the opportunity to be a customer of Carl Black and will be back time and time again. Honest and loyal!

I purchased a Hyundai Palisade from this dealership, and within approximately 24 hours of taking…read morepossession of the vehicle, I was already back at the dealership because of problems with it. I was provided with a loaner vehicle due to the inconvenience, and I ultimately had that loaner for approximately three weeks--just one day after purchasing my vehicle. I was repeatedly told that extensive diagnostic testing was being performed to determine what was wrong. I was also repeatedly reassured that the issue was "nothing major" and that they would "make everything right." I have these conversations documented in text messages. At one point, I asked to simply have my trade-in returned because I was no longer comfortable with the situation and felt that I had essentially purchased a vehicle that I could not drive. I was told that this was not possible. Then, while I was still dealing with the problems surrounding the vehicle I had just purchased, I was given pricing for the loaner vehicle and additional fees--as though I had not just purchased a vehicle from them that I had been unable to drive. Eventually, I received my Palisade back. Unfortunately, that was far from the end of the story. Approximately nine months later, I took the vehicle to Hyundai and requested further diagnostics. I was told that there were significant issues with the vehicle and that it was not safe to drive. I was also informed that the vehicle had a history/circumstances that affected how it could be classified and sold. I was shocked to learn this after everything I had already experienced. The estimated cost associated with the issues ultimately came to approximately $9,000. At that point, I felt my only realistic option was to purchase another vehicle and cut my losses. In less than a year, this situation has cost me thousands of dollars, not to mention the time, stress, and frustration of repeatedly trying to resolve an issue with a vehicle I had purchased from this dealership. I have documentation of the communications and the timeline of events. I am now pursuing the appropriate channels to have this situation reviewed. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau and have a call scheduled with the appropriate Georgia consumer protection/business practices office to discuss what happened and determine what options are available. I am sharing my experience because I believe consumers deserve to have all relevant information about a vehicle before making a major purchase. I strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing from this dealership to do their own research, obtain independent diagnostics when appropriate, and carefully review the vehicle's history and documentation before signing. This was not the experience I expected when purchasing a vehicle, and I sincerely hope others do not find themselves in the same situation.
