Autophoto js a museum for vintage photo booths nestled in the heart of LES. It offers a Time Machine-esque like experience for visitors to try their hand at taking photos in booths ranging from the 1950s-2000s. It's a very cute concept and perfect for hanging with friends or even a photography date. I liked the souvenirs they provide as far as the decorative photo memorabilia. Some of the machines do take quite a bit to develop the pictures but if you're willing to wait, they usually are worth it. A few things to note, cost per strip (usually only one copy provided) is about $8 per machine. Also you should be prepared once you pay (they do accept Apple Pay or digital wallet) for the photos to start snapping right away, since these machines are older they don't have a countdown on screen like the modern day booths to let you know when it will start. Additionally, there's usually only one seat provided in the booths so seating space inside may be limited to at most 2 people at a time. Overall I'm very glad I got to visit and take home some vintage photo strips.

Auto photo might get the wrap for being a tourist trap or an influencer's next stop for their post, but as a local and photographer, i truly appreciated and enjoyed this museum/interactive exhibit. i feel this was worth a trip into the city and was a solid hour out of my time. its free to get in and explore, you choose to hop into the booth and grab a print. some key notes: 1. there will be a line. we waited about 25 mins on a sunday around 3pm, which wasnt bad. there is no time limit for you inside. 2. the museum part is in the back. its incredibly small. it took about 20 minutes to read through and check out. it explains the history of the auto photo booth, had some old prints, old machines/lenses, and information about the creator. there's also some original pieces. 3. the machines take cards. all of the machines take cards. averaging $8 to $12. your print comes out within 4 to 5 minutes. there are about 6 working machines, 1 was out of order when we went. 4. you can get them scanned. head over to the mid point of the exhibit, and the staff was scan your prints for free. this is done in the store area. they have a small store to buy some merch. 5. yes the exhibit is 100% free. no reservations or tickets needed. 6. free sticks are thrown on the table near the couch area.

My friend and I waited about 20/30 mins Friday night to go inside the museum. Lovely museum overall. They give you a brief description of each machine before you go in and the history behind them. In the back there is more history surrounding photo booths as well. The prices for each booths vary from booth to booth at $8-$12, however the entry to the museum itself is free. A lot of the machines are one of a kind like the Polaroid or extremely rare like the one completely in color. This is a permanent fixture so definitely recommend making a visit.

What a cute concept! This place is worth every dime. These are real photo booth. Not the chunky cheese quality. REAL PHOTO BOOTH film strips get printed. Crisp clarity and color. There are about 10 photo booths to choose from and all are different styles. I did Model 17 ($8) which is B&W 4 shots with a brown tone. My sister did Model 12 and it's a B&W 3 shot wider style. We also did the Polaroid machine which you need tokens from the front desk. Such a fun stop on a girls date or first date or even an anniversary activity. We will be back!

Cute Photo Booth museum! There was about 5-8 booths from what I remember. All classic analog and it takes about 3 min to print. It was $8 for a strip I believe. I came on a Friday afternoon which was perfect! There was no wait time to get in and I barely had to wait to take pictures. They also offer free scans if you follow their social media!

Autophoto is a small photo booth museum complete with merch, very friendly staff members, and long lines. We waited for about 20 minutes to get in on a Friday night and then some of the booths have lines as well. The museum itself is very cute and they even have a working booth in the back that shows the interior process and mechanisms! Most of the machines are analog, which is incredibly rare these days, and they currently have the only working color Polaroid booth in the world. There is one digital machine which prints two horizontal photo strips as well. Before walking in, a staff member explained each machine to us and showed us photo strips taken on each one. It was really cool learning the history of each machine, and they have descriptions of them outside each machine as well. Entrance to the museum is free but you pay for the individual booths. Most of the machines cost $8 and are tap to pay, and one of the machines at the front was $12 for a large format strip. For the Polaroid machine you go up to the cashier and buy a token for the machine ($8). Overall my friend and I had a good time, this would be a fun place to pop by for a souvenir on your trip and immortalize the memories :)

Super cute place with informative and cute booths , wouldn't choose anywhere else to go in NYC , so happy I found Autophoto !

The whole process was seamless. Michael was great to work with when it came to scheduling and confirming everything, and the building was easy to find. I took his advice and had the Uber go to the building across the street and it worked like a charm. Dapheney and Philipp were so wonderful when it came to hair and makeup. I felt gorgeous and just told them to do their thing based on what they thought would look best. (And as a bonus, I got to look hot when seeing a Broadway show that night.) I felt like an old Hollywood screen siren. Raya was professional and INCREDIBLE. I used some of her costumes and she helped me feel way more comfortable than I ever thought I could in my skin. She knew the right lighting and angles to bring out my best features, and did I mention it was so FUN? I didn't know I could pose like that. I was able to see all the photos within a day and was blown away by her skill. My boyfriend was so impressed too and had a hard time choosing his favorites because there were so many good ones. We hope to do a session as a couple someday in the future when visiting NYC. If you're thinking about doing a session, book it! This is a present you'll give yourself and it's so worth it.

For any event or need I have in NYC, Caroline is my go-to photographer. Exceptional work and even more important, exceptional to work with. In fact, I actually once changed an event date in order to secure her services - that's how good she is. Caroline is affable, approachable and a great communicator. She has a natural instinct to know which images are going to be important and is ahead of the curve in capturing them. She's equally fantastic with proactive questions and ideas. She will help you realize the exact vision you are seeking for your needs be it simply a new headshot to capturing all the angles of a massive event. Skimming through many of her 5 star reviews here, I am not surprised to see so many saying the same thing as me so, allow me to leave you with another tip that you may find helpful. Sometimes an event may have a budget restriction and cutting a professional photographer may be seen as a quick and easy place to start. Do not make this mistake. You can't get the images from your phone. The intern with a "nice camera" will miss the shot, the lighting, the moment. Trust me. You want a seasoned and accomplished professional. And you want a pro that is easy and fun to work with too. I return to Caroline's photos from years past ALL THE TIME because she helps me tell the story of the experience that has enable to me to grow my own business. I can't wait to work with Caroline again soon!

I did an inquiry on Yelp well I was laying in the bed late at night and I was surprised to get a immediate response. I was initially looking at another company but the amount of photos that I got with PicVoyage was double the amount for an extra $50. I have never been to to New York and they recommended that I shoot at 9 a.m. in the morning instead of the 3 p.m. that I wanted. I'm so glad I took their advice! She had me download WhatsApp so they can keep in contact with me upon my arrival and with any questions are dream photos I may have wanted. I went on their Instagram account and I fell in love with the shots. The morning of the shoot we met with hazel where she told us to be at at 9 a.m. I promise you this was the best part of my New York visit. She made us feel so comfortable and made the time together so enjoyable that I could have left New York with just my visit with her and felt like the trip was worthwhile!

Wonderful experience, exceptional value! These are 4 words that only describe the cusp of my…read moreexperience with Briliana Photography. I'm currently pregnant with our first child and wanted to capture timeless maternity photos of myself and my partner. I honestly wasn't sure where to begin. Most of my friends and family have had children long ago and used Sears or JCPenney. Not that the latter is a bad thing, but it wasn't the style I envisioned. So I took my search to Instagram. With one hashtag, Brilianna was among a few businesses the came up. I made a quick and easy inquiry and the rest was history. From the very first call, Irina was so easy to work with. She asked me what I had in mind then gave me a full rundown of her services. Moreover, she was honest with her capabilities. We had an out of box idea that we wanted to try as an announcement. She was honest that she'd try but her expertise was more timeless than comedic. We ended up not doing it and not because of Irina, but because we no longer felt it was necessary. After that first call, I felt confident booking with her and canceled all other business inquiries. I booked the 'Classic Session' which included a fully guided session, professional makeup and styling, and up to 4 looks. As part of the looks, you have the option of using their beautiful gowns and wraps for your photos. For me, this took a large load off of me. Imagine having to buy 4 different dresses for a maternity shoot and on top of that, figure out sizing, transport, etc. It would've been a hassle (just an FYI - you can bring your own, but her selection is soooo beautiful and high quality, there is no need to!). More than the gowns, I think this was just a great value for everything provided. Most of the photographers I had found during my search, did not include nearly as much as I received. After paying my deposit, Irina remained communicative and I received an easy guide that helped my partner and I fully prepare for our session. Fast forward to the day of our session, it felt like such a relaxing day. The studio is spacious, clean, and modern. I got straight to hair and makeup with Kristen. She was a gem - very kind, welcoming, attentive, and helpful from start to finish. I loved her work as well. Kristen did a soft glam look with beautiful blending. In addition, she added soft waves to my hair that held up nicely throughout the shoot and the rest of the day. Later in the morning, Irina came in and worked her magic. I showed her the looks I wanted and she gave her expertise on what would work best. Kristen acted as a stylist and helped keep me flawless throughout the shoot, while Irina guided me. I was nervous taking photos in my pregnant body. But Irina did a great job guiding me and encouraging me to relax. Her being a mom as well, it was nice to have her reassurance and tips. We went thru each look, including a few with my partner. At some points, I even began to cry because the experience of this moment with my partner was really heart warming. It felt very full circle. No doubt, Irina captured everything I wanted for my maternity photos - love, timelessness, and happiness. As promised, she returned the unedited proofs to us within a week and we made our final selections. I'm now waiting for the finished result but I am very pleased with the proofs. My package included 10 photos and it was truly hard to choose. That's how great her shots were! I've included some candid shots in this review which my partner took during the session. This is just to show how awesome the team worked to prep me and position me throughout the session. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with my experience at Brilianna Photography. Irina has been an absolute pleasure to work with. Not only was she communicative, but her work speaks for itself. I cannot wait to work with her again once my bundle of joy arrives. If you are looking for a seamless, stress-free experience, don't hesitate to book with Brilianna! Highly recommended!
