My…read morehusband has been following the Long McArthur Ford YouTube channel for quite some time and has 100% trust in Tim Bartz so when we ran across a gently used Ford Explorer ST located at Long McArthur, we quickly became serious buyers. We contacted the dealership and spoke to Desiree Heitsman who got us in contact with Burgandy Babson in the sales department. Burgandy and I spoke, texted and emailed discussing their inventory and we found the original vehicle I had found did not have all the options I wanted. She mentioned they had another Explorer ST with all the options we wanted plus more and had less miles but it was slightly higher in price. We discussed all the details of both and decided to go with her recommendation. We live in the Oklahoma City area and we were not trading in a vehicle. My husband works nights so the only option we had to get to Salina was for me to take a bus. After I accepted Burgandy's offer, I found Greyhound had a bus leaving Oklahoma City that night (Friday) for Salina and stopped at a Super 8 hotel within a mile from the dealership. I made the reservations and headed to Salina. Burgandy picked me up at the hotel Saturday morning and took me to the dealership, She let me know there was a little snag in securing the keys for the vehicle I was buying but she had already talked to her manager and was working through it. I was a little upset with the news but she assured me everything would work out. She was incredibly patient and understood my frustration. She was confident things would work out and that I would leave in the perfect vehicle. She ironed out the snag and after the test drive, I was sitting in the finance office with Ben Ashmore signing papers on the perfect Explorer ST. Ben explained the aftermarket warranty coverages available and with his recommendations and considering the the options of the vehicle, I decided that I definitely wanted a few of the coverages. He even made some concessions on pricing with a minimal affect on my payment. The aftermarket assistant manager, Niles Gridley, even made time to talk to me about items I may find I need in the future and told me if I ever needed anything to contact him - even if it was just to get advice or have questions. Niles gave me some valuable information on everything from floor mats to window tint. This was the best car buying experience I have ever had. The entire staff at Long McArthur Ford is exceptional. Their honesty, integrity, and compassion is far above any dealership I have encountered. They truly care and will do whatever is needed to put you in the perfect vehicle.

So now it is spotted and to mention the car is black. The piano black trim is dull, so disappointing!!!! If the salespeople are going to run up the milage and then take it through a local car wash, at least get the better wash before putting it on the lot to sell. It had soap residue still on it!! I have bought numerous vehicals from Long McAurthur in the past, but this will be my last one. Would highly recommend NOT taking your ford there if there is a recall, it's quite the upsetting experience you really need to avoid. For those in the future looking to buy, good luck to you! We described our situation and the salesman quickly realized the vehicles we thought we wanted would not be our best fit. He had us put all of our new baby stuff in the back to see how it would fit. I was greeted by Jeff in Customer Service, I informed him of the issues, he promptly had a diagnostic test performed,. Jeff informed me of the crack in the a/c compressor shaft, He also discovered the crack was covered under my warranty!! He also found 4 matching tires which were replaced with the original tires. The original tires were cupping which caused the excessive noise. Jeff is an exemplary example of the ultimate customer service!
