After calling Great Lakes Ford, we decided to get it fixed right this time. We had it towed to Great Lakes and they diagnosed the problems as to what was causing the repeat starting issues. They had to order a part, and as soon as they could get it on their schedule got our truck repaired. It was a big relief to have this specific problem diagnosed correctly finally as we have to take this truck back to CA. Shuttle service they offer was really appreciated as well.

Then returned it to me with an obvious coolant leak. Within 100 miles after their repairs, I had a check engine light on and found that they smashed a connector together, bending the pins, and had to pay someone else to fix it. The service manager said he "would get back in touch with me", but never did. They are okay for tires and batteries, but if you need anything complex or involving them touching your engine, go elsewhere.

She asked me about it and if I had rental insurance. I told her that the conversion is for my daughter, its the only way I can transport her. I told her I have rental on my insurance but it only covers a small sedan but we can make it work, we always do. She asked me where you rent converted vehicles and I told her I always do business with The Creative Mobility Group in Byron Center. At that time she told me "We'll cover the extra rental fees". I was shocked. I knew that was at least $100 a day they were offering to pay. I assured her that we could make it work without a converted van (I just wouldn't be able to bring my daughter anywhere for the week, but we could manage just fine) and she insisted on helping us out and paying that extra fee for us. They ended up having our vehicle for 5 days and they paid the extra fees for the van. They did NOT have to do that and I didn't even ask. They saw a need and they went above and beyond to help make sure my daughter could be transported if need be. I will always use Preferred Ram Chrysler Jeep Dodge on Henry street for any of our repairs, etc. They have always done good by us but this was beyond what they had to do. To me, this was nothing short of a greedy, self-serving attempt to push me into spending even more money, rather than taking accountability for the defective product I was sold. I opened a case with GM Corporate, and even they have confirmed the dealership is unresponsive. To this day, my brand-new vehicle is still scratched, and Betten Chevrolet has refused to resolve the issue. The crash resulted in the Drivers Air Bag being deployed (the employee we were told was/is "ok"). We were devastated by the damage to our favorite vehicle. They did repair the damage at the Betten Chevrolet Buick GMC body shop across the street and Betten Honda Service. The initial estimate to repair the damage was $13,632. They did provide a loaner car for the time it took to repair the Passport. It is my/our understanding that Accidents and Air Bag deployment results in "Lost Value" of a vehicle. My research (on-line) shows a lost value of 10% to 30%. We have run the Carfax for the Passport, the detail(s) of the work done/completed by the Betten Body Shop and Betten Honda Service are not listed. The Carfax does show that work was done by both, "Vehicle Serviced". The Honda service does show the engine mount replaced and an alignment. The Air Bag replacement is Not shown/listed. It is also our understanding that it is our responsibility to disclose prior-accidents and air-bag-deployment-and-replacement when selling a vehicle. For our Passport the Carfax will not be sufficient. We have asked Betten Honda to make an offer for our lost value based on the extensive damage including the air bag deployment/replacement. They have declined. They introduced the "Lost Value" of the Passport when we went to see it after their crash. They wanted to buy the Passport from us and (as we were told) send it to the Auction as they did not want it in our possession or sold to someone by them. The question to ask yourself is can you trust a Carfax if the vehicle has been repaired by them?
