As a person who has had more than my share of car damage, I have dealt with plenty of body shops. It is no understatement that the treatment I received by Jeff at Fender Mender was absolutely extraordinary in the best possible way. From the time that I was greeted, Jeff took time with me to make sure I felt welcome and at home. He explained the options for my car repair extremely thoroughly. He even provided me with questions and considerations should I go somewhere else. He graciously offered to speak to the folks who were responsible for the damage to explain the costs and the "why" behind what he was doing. He understands that the investment that we made in our vehicle was a sacrifice and one that we did not want a bad patch/paint job to mar our enjoyment and daily reminder of the accident. Every step of the way he was communicative and clear...from proactively calling me first thing Monday morning to let me know that our overnight drop off went well...all the way to delivering the car two days earlier than what was expected. I would have no reservations on sending my wife/children here to get service. Regardless of your comfort with auto-body repairs, Jeff takes the time to make you feel welcome and explains his process excellently. They then moved the completion date eight times from 1-24 to 1-28 to 2-5 to 2-10 to 2-21 to 2-27 to 3-4 to 3-6 to 3-7. On January 28 they told me they had all the parts to complete the repair, so I'm not sure what they were doing from January 28 to March 7. They had my vehicle for a total of 67 days. When I came to pick up, the front desk attendant just gave me my key and receipt with no explanation. Management was well aware of the incompetence, so if their reply to this posting is to let them know, that is false concern.

That being said, Daniel worked with me regarding a rough estimate via pictures and had my wife's BMW in his shop in less than a month! That was great as most of the body shops in my area are booked three months out. One important distinction is that Daniel is extremely experienced with BMWs as he worked for them for decades. He knows how to match BMW paint like nobody else. In fact, Eagle Body Works is a certified BMW collision center and this was a program he helped institute when he worked for BMW. Therefore I had complete confidence in his work and what the finished product would look like. What I didn't expect was how quick the turnaround was on my wife's car. It was ready one day ahead of schedule and it was flawless. It was as though the accident never happened. They went above and beyond by vacuuming the floor mats and cleaning the interior (we didn't do that before the drop off). More than anything, my wife's new Bimmer was back to showroom perfect. We didn't file this as an insurance claim so we paid out of pocket. While the repair wasn't cheap, every item that needed to be replaced was warranted and the price was very fair. Hey...go figure...when you mess up a front bumper with all the new technological sensors for parking and radar, it's going to be a pretty penny. They got all the sensors aligned and calibrated perfectly and we are both extremely happy with the end result. It was well worth every penny spent and we cannot recommend them highly enough - especially if you are looking for collision or paint work on a BMW. We were well informed during every step of the repair and these are some of the friendliest people you could ever hope to deal with. If I need body work or paint work done again (knock on wood) I will not waste my time looking into local shops. They earned our business!

They also have an Enterprise rental car office right on site too. The waiting area is comfortable with popcorn, refreshments and a big screen television with comfortable seating. I was dealing with the State Farm representative this time, had a designated parking space, was promptly seen and inside of about 15 minutes, walked out with an estimate and a check. I was told that we can pick our own body shop and that they would handle any inconsistencies between the estimate and the body shop estimate, but that turned out to be negligible. Caliber Collision has their own body shop on site and they had previously worked on my other vehicle. It really could not have been more convenient to drop off a car, get an estimate or drop off a car for work and getting a rental on the spot. It is clear that they value the customer experience and try to make it as smooth and positive as possible under the circumstances.

I get texts saying it will be done on a certain date. Then when I call on that date to confirm (which I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO DO), I'm told it won't be ready after all.
