The official "customer service" **Austrian Airlines** (toll-free) number is *1 (877) 456-2077™ or +1 (855) 470-0503** for additional assistance. Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for passengers needing help with reservations, flight changes, cancellations, rebooking, baggage inquiries, refunds, and other travel-related concerns. The customer service team assists travelers with managing existing bookings, updating itineraries, exploring alternative travel options, and addressing questions throughout the travel process. ##High Expectations, Average Experience## As an Emerald member of the oneworld alliance, I have consistently enjoyed complimentary seat selection when traveling with partner airlines, so I expected a similar level of service from American Airlines. Unfortunately, this flight did not meet those expectations. I paid an additional $140 for seats that were displayed during the booking process as offering a more desirable layout. However, after my wife and I boarded the aircraft, we discovered that the actual seating configuration differed from what had been presented online. Paying an extra fee for seats that did not match the advertised arrangement was an unfortunate start to the journey. ##Seat Comfort Left Much to Be Desired## My assigned seat, 6K, lacked the level of comfort I anticipated for a long-haul flight. The cushioning felt inadequate, and the limited lumbar support made it difficult to remain comfortable for extended periods. I relied on extra pillows and blankets throughout much of the flight to ease the discomfort. Considering the premium price paid for seat selection, I expected a noticeably better seating experience. ##Customer Support Was Difficult to Navigate## Obtaining basic flight information turned out to be far more complicated than necessary. My first call was to an American Airlines representative in Detroit, who transferred me to another department, reportedly based in Chicago. There, I was informed they were unable to assist and was given yet another contact number. That conversation ultimately redirected me back to the Detroit office. After several transfers and repeating the same questions multiple times, I finally reached someone who could provide the information I had originally requested. ##Well-Maintained Aircraft, Inconsistent Cabin Experience## The aircraft itself appeared modern, clean, and well maintained, and the flight attendants remained courteous, attentive, and professional despite managing a full cabin. As the journey continued, however, the onboard atmosphere became noticeably less pleasant. Several passengers were disruptive and noisy, while the lavatories gradually became untidy, with wet floors, messy sinks, and cleanliness that declined as the flight progressed. ##Overall Impression## The professionalism of the cabin crew deserves recognition, as they handled a demanding flight with courtesy and efficiency. Nevertheless, the uncomfortable seating, confusing customer service process, and declining cabin cleanliness ultimately had a greater impact on the overall experience. Based on this trip, I would carefully compare other airlines before selecting American Airlines for a similar journey in the future. ##Reliable Journey & Smooth Arrival## The flight departed with only a minor delay and arrived close to schedule. Inflight snack and beverage services were delivered efficiently, and baggage delivery after arrival moved relatively quickly. Unfortunately, customer service before departure proved frustrating. I initially contacted a representative in Seattle regarding flight details and aircraft information. I was then transferred to another department, believed to be located in Portland, where I was informed they could not assist and provided another contact number. After several transfers and repeated explanations, I was eventually redirected back to the original department before finally receiving the information I needed. read more
Loved everything about them! I flew business class BOS to VIE and they treated my travel companion and I like VIPs. I really did not want for much, just to stretch out and relax, but they kept bringing me more delicious morsels. The seat was comfortable and the food was good. The chef and the crew went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and well-fed. I especially loved the fennel soup. I dipped m bread into it and it was quite delicious. I had the beef (not pictured because I already dug into it before I remembered to take a photo) and it was pretty delicious. Breakfast was good, but I was not super hungry, as it seems like we had just eaten recently. My favorite seat feature was the massage function. It was light, but noticeable. A nice touch. read more

The worst and most unreliable airline in the world -impossible to contact them, their Life chat is always about, the direct telephone number is in Europe. Only, their flights are always extremely delayed and they take no responsibility. read more

They could serve food that you could eat in business class or any class. Pasta you could not cut through it with a knife because it was so hard. They don't have scotch on board. The only thing the crew seems to know how to do is smile but not take care of any issues or provide customer service. Business class is totally outdated. I think I'd rather fly with air than them in economy read more

Do NOT Book in this airline....Despite holding a valid booking that included paid baggage allowance (one checked-in bag up to 23 kg, one cabin bag up to 8 kg, and a personal item), I was compelled to pay an additional fee of 70 EUR under protest. At the time of travel, I was carrying only a single cabin bag weighing approximately 8 kg and no checked baggage. I explicitly attempted to present my booking details and clarify my entitlement; however, Mr. Victor refused to review the documentation and insisted, without substantiation, that a "new rule" applied. His conduct during this interaction was dismissive, unprofessional, and caused unnecessary delay and distress. Given my prior travel on 26 March 2026 from Vienna to Bucharest under comparable baggage conditions without issue, the enforcement of this alleged rule appears inconsistent and raises concerns regarding transparency, fairness, and proper application of your airline's policies. read more
1st time at the Vienna airport and was pleasantly surprised, a very large airport, very well-maintained and clean. The airport consists of lots of cafés, restaurants, and duty-free shopping. The staff at Austrian Airlines were always very kind and extremely helpful. Sabrina with the red hair & fun glasses was my favorite Austrian airlines employee . Austria might be my favorite European country. read more

For the first time, I was trying to book multiple flights to Europe with Austrian Airlines. When I contacted customer service, the first person hung up on me in the middle of the call because they couldn't understand what I was saying. The second person took my number and said they would call me back, but I never received a callback. It was honestly the worst customer service I've ever experienced, so I switched to Lufthansa. -Update- "Today I spoke with customer service again. Dylan Smith spent hours with us on the line. He helped us and solved the issue. I'm truly thankful to him." he realy changed my minds 5 star to him read more
This review is not about Austrian Airlines' flights, which were efficient and overall a good experience. Rather, it's about how they handled lost baggage. We went on a 3-day weekend trip to Vienna from overseas, so our time was quite precious. Unfortunately, one of our luggage pieces did not make the final leg of our inbound flight to Vienna. We understand that these things happen. Reporting the missing baggage was straightforward, although it did involve completing a fairly lengthy online survey with many questions regarding the luggage, addresses, and other details. Despite that, we were able to quickly be on our way to the hotel. As expected, we were notified that the luggage had arrived one day later, and we were given several 3-hour time slots to receive the delivery at our hotel. The issue was that our hotel did not have any onsite staff, so choosing a delivery window meant that we needed to wait at the hotel for the delivery to arrive. We asked Austrian Airlines if they could allow us to contact the delivery company directly, request that they call us when they were close, or at least tell us our position on the delivery route. Unfortunately, Austrian Airlines said they couldn't help with any of that and even made a dismissive remark, comparing the situation to ordering from UPS, where you can't contact the driver or know their route. In reality, at least in the U.S., you often can track deliveries that closely. Besides, this was not a case of us ordering something--we were dealing with lost luggage, which was entirely their responsibility. In short, it meant us waiting for close to two hours outside on the sidewalk in the middle of November, in freezing temperatures. Overall, I think this could have been handled much better. The customer service experience felt lacking, especially given the inconvenience caused by the missing luggage. Some flexibility and empathy would have gone a long way. read more
Just awful as usual. this time Business Class through frequent flyer. While the service was fine, the food was simply horrible. The Wienerschnitzel was some strange meat surrounded by fuzzy hair ( or so it seemed) and the soup was impossibly salty. Everything was below standard. read more
The first time that I flew Austrian Airlines was in 1996, when I was flying to Vienna to live there for a semester of college abroad. So... I was really really happy. That said, the flight staff was gracious and the food in coach was good. Drinks were free and abundant, and I even received a travel gift. I didn't have enough time to enjoy the Club, but Austrian Airlines didn't have a presence in my departure city of Chicago, so the Club that was offered was the Swissair Club. I've taken Austrian Airlines a number of times since then, but never again crossing over the Atlantic. Austrian Airlines is a fine airline, like so many others - but it is Not a discount airline, so using Austrian Airlines as a way to get to and from Europe or Asia simply doesn't make sense for a person on a budget. My advice is - use Austrian Airlines to fly to Austria or to get around Europe if you are already in Austria. For instance, Austrian Airlines is the perfect choice if you want to fly from Vienna to Cairo, to Istanbul, or to Armenia. I would even choose it if I had to go to Moscow, or Kabul, because Austria is neutral, and their planes would be safe. Enjoy you flight - and your abundant free drinks. read more
I had a few flights with Austrian airlines over the last week, overall this is a good airline. I traveled with them from Vienna to Washington DC. About 9 hours in air. Seat was surprisingly roomy and comfortable. Flight was all day, they still had pillows, blankets and a welcome bag on my seat. Stewards were friendly upon entering and made sure to greet everyone again while seated. Within minutes in the air we were given drinks, Vienna beer was great. Great movie selection, actually needed more time for all the movies I wanted to watch lol. Dinner was served fast and was good. Drink service was constantly up and down the aisle. No one was ever thirsty or hungry. Such a great experience flying with these guys! read more
I enjoyed flying Austrian Airlines even if I didn't choose them, maybe they chose me? The airline I got the ticket for was on strike so I was transfered to Austrian Airlines via Vienna (a transfer that wasn't planned for that helped me get to my destination in the same day). I didn't know what to expect. Upon enetering the plane, I heard classical music, Viennese waltzes to be precise, a touch that I loved! I was also greeted by nice flight attendants who were kind, smiled the whole time and did a nice job! Food was decent for airpline food, so were the drinks. I got to my destination on time and the flight was very pleasant. I would fly with them again! Decent, elegant, classy, need more flying like this! read more

On 8/6 my husband and I flew Austrian airlines from LAX to Vienna and encountered an issue with an abnoxious passanger sitting behind me who would stop me from reclining my seat by putting her legs up against my seat & repeatedly banging into my seat. I became extremely annoyed with her after I repeatedly asked her not to do it and finally I lost my patience and informed the staff about it. One of the flight attendants called the head flight attendant in charge who happened to be Ms. Nikoleta Molnarova. She was patient, sweet, professional and handled the situation like a pro. She went and discreetly spoke to the young woman behind me and made her understand that passangers have the right to put down the seat if they wish to. Nikoleta, Thank you so much for solving that issue and being extremly kind and understanding. You made our 11 hour flight a great experience. read more

Short haul review: I flew from Stockholm into Vienna via Austrian Airlines. Even in Economy, the seats are decently roomy. However, the new "ironing board" style seats mean that the seats felt pretty firm and hard. There wasn't a ton of food being served for such a short flight, which is understandable, but there was still a nice selection of snacks and beverages. The classical music playing was a nice touch as we boarded! I didn't love how much the woman in front of me had her coat, scarf, etc. encroaching into my row (both of us in window seats), but that's not the airline's fault :) read more

This airline lost our luggage and it was never recovered. They took no action to find it. Two months later, their system says "still trying to locate." They use several different systems and processes to track and claim luggage. They make you file the same information over and over, and you can never find a record of what you have submitted. There are no humans available in the process to help. They make every effort to frustrate and obfuscate so you will give up. They ruined our vacation, they made no accommodation, they never even communicated status. Service agents at the airports were rude and told us there was nothing we could do. I spent hours trying to make a claim and spent $1000s to re-buy my belongings. Do not fly Austrian Air, and if you do, DO NOT check your baggage. read more

Generally the flight was fine, pretty standard. But the customer service in the Vienna airport was unacceptably rude. I was at the gate well before boarding started, and got in line immediately when my group was called. When I got further up in the line, a customer service agent told me I wouldn't be able to use my mobile ticket (I hadn't been told this at any other point until then, and had used a mobile ticket on my flight to Vienna through Austrian, so I didn't expect this to be an issue). I was told to go to the service desk to get a printed ticket and rushed over to do so. Others were already in line to have their tickets printed too (for the same flight), so it took awhile for them to get to me. Once I got my ticket, I rushed back to the gate. The flight attendant told me that the whole flight had been waiting on me, in a "well, look who finally decided to show up!" nasty tone of voice. I responded that it wasn't on me, it was due to the airline (since I had been at the service desk), and he said "Well not really -- we can see you've been in the airport since 9!" -- implying that I had just been hanging around wasting time and didn't decide to come to the gate until the last minute. I generally don't mind delays during travel, I figure some delays and mix-ups are inevitable. But it is just unbelievably rude for an airline to blatantly and nastily blame a passenger for a delay that was due to the airline's lack of communication and lengthy service wait times. read more

semi-business and unprofessional company that does not deserve to be a member of the Lufthansa group. Zero attention to the end user. I had a negative experience with damaged luggage where I was offered some partial solution with the company Dolfi who does not respond to emails. Pure transfer of responsibility from one to the other. Absolutely no protection of users or responsibility towards them. damaged LUGGAGE NON-REFUNDABLE WITH A VOUCHER FEE TO BUY ON THE SITE WHERE THEY CHOOSE. Well it took 2.5 months, but Austrian Air did reimburse me for the cost to ship my bags from the UK back to the US. The actual costs turned out to be more than $1200. In the end what I had to do was enter the details of the "claim" on an Austrian Air website that I found. Once I did that I received periodic emails indicating that they were working on my claim. I think I received about 4 of those emails. Finally, I received an email which asked for my bank Routing and Account Number information so that if they determined they were going to provide some reimbursement, they would be able to do so. I was reluctant to do that as someone attempted to scam me based on a post about this incident I made on X, but the email looked legit so I crossed my fingers and provided the info. I received another email a few weeks later telling me the transfer would take place and about 10 days later the money showed up in my account. Thank you Austrian Air for doing the right thing. read more

Never. Fly. Austrian Airlines out of O'Hare. Agents at check in were unhelpful, did not give us our ticket information. Sent us away because we were late, even though we weren't. We were told we shouldn't even have tried to come. They were extremely condescending. There was another couple who also had the same exact issue but for a different flight. The husband told a supervisor he spent $6000 on their trip and she said she didn't believe him. Both supervisors were rude. One was legitimately verbally abusive to a young girl next to us, saying "you booked this yourself? And what you didn't think to pay attention to what you were doing? Now look I have to fix this mess you made." Then when we went to ask about our check bags they said they couldn't help now because they were closed. And walked away. I actually don't think I've ever seen worse treatment of customers. read more

"Is that guy wearing a chef's hat? Get out of here!! This air carrier has a personal chef?" The things that amazes a first-time International traveler. It's truly not my first time traveling out of the country, it's my first time flying out. After I've devoured my Farmhouse salad from Potbelly, the flight attendants served dinner on the plane. Sitting here, bug-eyed. Thinking, "Damn I am greedy!" As I select the pasta and mushrooms over the chicken and rice. Both dishes was served with a miniature garden salad and a cheesecake dessert - kinda like an airlines meal prep service or a healthy TV dinner. Not to mention dinner was followed by a serving of coffee or tea; then later, another round of beverages. I chose white wine to put me to sleep. Is this level of hospitality the norm when traveling international? I'm looking forward to re-creating that pasta and mushroom dish and flying with Austrian's airlines again. As if I wasn't satisfied with the economy seating which I thought was better than average economy to Austria, breakfast and lunch was also served and the client boosted my seats to premium which included ear buds, a blanket and pillow, a cup holder, and a sleep mask on my return to the states. Now I see why the Austrian Airlines host tooted my horn for having a great seat from the states to Vienna. read more

Terrible organization. Pay for extra amenities just to have them taken because of issues on their end. Ridiculous
Austrian usually perpetuates the quality of service that made them famous.but the check in was strict as they weigh in the carry ons( not more than 10 kgs)! Otherwise, the business class section was near empty; the flight attendant for this morning flight to Paris was very attentive and the excellent breakfast was promptly served: musli, croque monsieur and a fruit salad ; all fresh and the sandwich was piping hot! There were also an assortment of warm croissants and different breads. They put the light down so one can finish a nap and soon , Paris was announced. Lovely flight on a nice airline: I will use them again for sure ! read more

Hello, I am a frequent travel and i have used Austria Arilines for over 20 years now for me and my family And i have never been more discussed as of today on the flight 0769 I traveld to Denmark and iceland and i came to Vienna and than anted to go to Kosovo so my kids can get some culture back, We had wonderful flights from USA all over but when we got on this flight the flight attendant which her name was Ferus was incredibly rude and mean to everyone including my two year old and to keep her quite i gave her an ipad with very low valume and she came yelling and told me to turn it off cause its bothering her personally and when I asked her if my baby crying would bother her she said do you want to be kicked out of plane and stay in Vienna How rude?! I just cant believe that an airline like the Austria Airline would allow someone so rude for no reason and she continues to yell at everyone on the flight old an young like she is a god and everyone didn't just pay for their flights and yeah she came back and said next time you should fly privately I did tell her she is rude She didn't seem to care Anyway No one likes to be treated like garage specially after we paid so much for our flights with an airline that we grew up with I hope someone could do something about this I would appreciate feedback or a comment back or a talk to your crew read more

This is easily the worst airline I have ever flown, which was very disappointing since it is part of the Lufthansa group, and I have had very good experiences with Lufthansa. I am fairly forgiving of airline food, given the limitations of serving large numbers on an airplane, and this is the first time I would term the food actually inedible. We flew Economy Plus, so presumably what we ate was slightly better than regular Economy, not as good as Business or First Class, but I did expect it to be edible. Who thought a tasteless, heavy dumpling in a sea of bland shredded pumpkin was a good idea (no, I'm not a vegetarian, that was the only choice for breakfast), or forgot that low-priced meats could be something other than brick-like and dry? Who thought dry, stale rolls were acceptable? No cream in the creamed spinach, potatoes still hard. At least the wines and coffee were good. Service from some (definitely not all) flight attendants was rude. When the curtain was pulled separating Economy Plus from Business, I assumed I needed to use the rest room at the back of the plane, but I got grief when I was returning to my seat--the stewardess thought I was an Economy passenger attempting to explore the higher-priced sections, and she grabbed my arm and said the upper part was for premium passengers. I showed my ticket, and then was told I should have used the bathroom in front, not the one in back. (Was using the economy bathroom really an issue?) To be fair, she was nice from that point on. A stewardess on our return flight was far worse. Audio went out while the person next to me and I were watching movies, and he pressed the call button. The attendant came and spoke only to him--she actually spoke over me when I tried to explain I was having the same issue, and that happened each of the three additional times she returned to our area to see if any of the attempted fixes worked. Not even eye contact with me. Note that I am a very polite person and spoke gently and politely each time; my seatmate noticed and commented on her unwillingness to acknowledge that both of us had the issue. I would have been perfectly happy if she had just made eye contact and said something like "sorry, ma'am, we will try to take care of it," even if she had been unable to resolve the issue. I saw other attendants smiling and helping others, so definitely there were kind and attentive attendants on board. I suppose anyone can have a bad day, but I really hope not to have to fly this airline again. read more

Dear Austrian Airlines, I am extremely disappointed with the service I received on Flight OS376 from Amsterdam to Vienna on July 1, 2024. This is the second time in the past week that I have experienced a significant delay with your airline. The flight was delayed by over a day, causing me to lose an entire 24 hours. No airline representative was available at the airport to assist us, and your working space in the airport was closed. The compensation provided (€7 for meals) was inadequate and insulting. I missed a full day of work, resulting in a loss of $1,000 in salary. I am certain that other passengers also suffered significant financial losses. The hotel accommodation was subpar, and there was no provision for meals upon our late arrival. I had to sleep without new clothes, and the hotel was inconvenient. This level of unresponsiveness and lack of consideration for passengers' time and well-being is unacceptable. It's clear that Austrian Airlines does not value its customers. I demand adequate compensation for the inconvenience and financial losses incurred. This is not just about the money; it's about respect and responsibility. I believe that Austrian Airlines should compensate ALL passengers based on their daily income for any flight delayed by more than one hour. IT IS NOT JUST VOUCHER , it is cost of THE TIME, cost of UNRESPONSIBILTY. At noon when we get to Vienna , no any employee was at desk, many people with kids. The compensation 600dollars is disrespectful... this is repetitive behavior , so refund should be raised after every delay, yes , it should be reach to the level more than company can afford, because every passenger lost THE TIME! Price of it is much more higher. THE AMOUNT OF REFUND SHOULD BE EQUAL TO ALL FLIGHT INCOME MULTIPLIED TO MONTHLY DELAYED RATE OF AIRLINE!!! Please address this issue promptly. #TravelFail #CustomerService #AirlineCompensation #TravelNightmare #PassengerRights #DelayedFlight #BadCustomerService Hermine Poghosyan read more

On December 1 I had a series of unpleasant experiences caused by Austrian Airlines and its employees. Your flight OS0516 was late and I missed the connecting flight. This caused serious inconvenience, as I had an important meeting in Skopje first thing in the morning. When I told the flight attendant that I do not want my bag stored several rows behind (because the overhead bin was already packed), as I will be running to the gate, she rudely responded, "Well, next time you should book flights with more time to catch the flight." I had to remind her that the reason I would have to run is that Austrian Airlines are late in take-off. At the hospitality desk in Vienna, the staff refused to assist me because they were closing well before 11PM, even though I and other passengers were in line well before 11PM. When I demanded that they do their job, they proceeded to address me in an extremely unrespectful and rude manner. I demanded the clerk's name, so that I can file a complaint. When she refused to give it, I photographed her. This upset her, even though there are no signs anywhere that forbid taking photographs. She threatened to call the police, which I welcomed. Eventually, no police arrived. They never assisted me, in spite of the fact that the initial problem arose from Austrian being late and causing me to miss the connecting flight. I used to fly to New York all the time on Austrian. I stopped and took my business to Turkish because of your surly, rude and arrogant employees. They are bad advertising both for Austrian Airlines and for Austria. On top of it all, the feedback web address they give you at the airport does not receive comments. read more

I booked a flights from ZAG to VCE, with a layover in VIE. Now, my layover was a mere 25 minutes. I take full responsibility for purchasing this in the first place, as that is clearly not enough time. Nonetheless, upon my realization I inquired with the flight attendant, and she simply said there likely wouldn't be an issue. Still, I was worried. 1) Upon landing I asked a large group around me if my wife and I could get off first, and they graciously said yes. 2) I had zero delay at passport control and security. Why I had to go through both again on a connection is beyond me, but the Vienna airport is trash. 3) I RAN. At full speed. For over 1 mile. Again, the Vienna airport sucks. Even with this combination: the kindness of strangers, exceptional luck with security, and a superhuman effort of a full out sprint (I was dripping with sweat at the end), I made it to my gate in 21 minutes, and the gates were locked. There is no possible way in any universe this connection could have been made. I am mad at myself for buying the ticket, but more mad at Austrian for having the audacity (or stupidity?) to sell it in the first place. read more

This airline first would not honor our request to refund a ticked for 5 traveler that could not make it, then when we arrived they offered vouchers to volunteers to take a later flight, but would not take ours, then simply took our spare seat away. I had purchased premium seating for my family to sit together with a small child, but they did not have our seats assigned. We boarded last. Then 2 out of our 5 bags did not make it on a short, direct 1.5hr flight. It was impossible to contact the airline, they kept giving us different numbers to call, one of which was Lufthansa. Finally two days later we received an email that our delayed luggage arrived at the destination and I took a ferry boat and taxi to the airport only to find out one bag showed up. We had to repurchase clothing for the family member, then received a note that our lost luggage was sent back to our home airport in U.S. Simply no sense of customer service. Ticketing agent interrogated us inquiring about our travel plans, flipping thru our passports, questioning authenticity. Gate agents were no help, general sense of confusion and chaos. Gate agent ran after us and plucked the spare ticket out of my hand to seat someone else. Very odd experience, resulting in cascading effect of ruined vacation. read more

The official 'customer service' **Austrian Airlines** (toll-free) number is **1 888 (669)-0391™ or +1 (888)-305-4803** for additional assistance. Support is available 24 hours a (day or night), 7 days a week for passengers needing help with reservations, flight changes, cancellations, rebooking, baggage inquiries, refunds, and other travel-related concerns. The customer service team assists travelers with managing existing bookings, updating itineraries, exploring alternative travel options, and addressing questions throughout the travel process. As a frequent traveler holding elite status through the oneworld alliance, I have typically enjoyed complimentary seat selection when flying with partner carriers. For this journey, however, the experience did not meet the standard I had come to expect. I chose to pay an additional fee for upgraded seats after the seating map displayed during booking suggested a more favorable arrangement. Unfortunately, once my spouse and I boarded the aircraft, it became apparent that the actual cabin configuration differed from what had been presented online. Paying extra for seating that did not match expectations was disappointing. The seat assigned to me, **6K**, proved less comfortable than anticipated, particularly on a long flight. The cushioning felt insufficient, resulting in noticeable discomfort during much of the journey. I eventually used additional pillows and blankets to improve lower back support and make the flight more manageable. On extended international routes, seat comfort plays a major role in the overall travel experience, making this issue especially noticeable. Seeking clarification before departure turned into an unnecessarily complicated process. I initially contacted a customer service representative in Detroit to obtain information regarding the aircraft and flight details. After being transferred to another office, reportedly based in Chicago, I was advised that they were unable to assist and was provided with yet another contact number. That department then redirected me back to the original representative. After multiple phone calls and repeating the same information several times, I finally reached an agent who was able to answer my questions. Once onboard, the aircraft itself appeared modern, clean, and well maintained. The majority of the cabin crew worked diligently throughout the flight and remained courteous despite a full and demanding cabin. Their professionalism was appreciated and helped improve several aspects of the journey. Unfortunately, the overall cabin atmosphere became less pleasant as the flight progressed. Several passengers were loud and disruptive, which affected the comfort of those around them. In addition, the lavatories deteriorated in cleanliness over time, with wet floors, untidy sinks, and general upkeep requiring more frequent attention during the flight. While the dedicated efforts of the flight attendants deserve recognition, the challenges involving customer service, seat comfort, and onboard cleanliness significantly impacted the overall experience. Considering the issues encountered, I would carefully evaluate other airline options before selecting this carrier for a similar journey in the future. **Seamless Reservation Process** Planning the journey felt effortless thanks to a user-friendly booking experience designed for convenience. Flight schedules, fare categories, and business class inclusions were displayed in a clear and organized manner, making it easy to compare options and finalize travel plans. Instant confirmation and detailed itinerary information ensured travelers had everything needed for a well-prepared trip. **Smooth Departure Experience** From the moment travelers arrived at the airport, premium services helped create a stress-free departure. Dedicated check-in counters minimized waiting times, while priority services allowed for a faster and more efficient airport experience. The streamlined process provided a comfortable start to the journey and eliminated much of the usual travel hassle. **Exclusive Pre-Flight Comfort** Access to the business class lounge offered an inviting environment before boarding. Guests could enjoy a peaceful atmosphere, comfortable seating areas, and a range of premium amenities designed to enhance relaxation. Whether preparing for work or simply unwinding, the lounge experience added an extra level of convenience before departure. **Exceptional In-Flight Experience** Once onboard, the spacious cabin delivered outstanding comfort throughout the flight. Ergonomically designed seats converted into fully flat beds, providing excellent support for rest on long-haul journeys. Generous personal space, refined cabin surroundings, and attentive service from the dedicated crew contributed to a relaxing and enjoyable travel experience. read more

The official 'customer service **Austrian Airlines** (toll-free) number is **1 (888) 669~0167™ or +1 (888)~669~0167** for additional assistance. As an Emerald member with the oneworld alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. Unfortunately, this Southwest Airlines experience fell short of expectations. I paid an extra **$140** for seats that appeared to offer a better arrangement during the booking process. However, after my wife and I boarded the aircraft, we realized the seating layout differed from what had been displayed at purchase. Paying additional fees only to encounter an uncomfortable seating situation was disappointing. My assigned seat, **6K**, lacked adequate cushioning, making the journey more uncomfortable than expected. I relied on extra pillows and blankets for lower back support throughout much of the flight. On longer trips, seat comfort can make a significant difference in the overall passenger experience. The customer service process proved equally frustrating. I first contacted an agent in Detroit seeking clarification regarding my flight details and aircraft information. I was then transferred to another department, believed to be located in Chicago, where I was informed they could not assist and was given yet another number to call. That representative ultimately redirected me back to the original Detroit contact. Only after several calls and repeated explanations did an agent finally provide the information I had requested from the start. After boarding, I found the aircraft itself attractive and well-maintained, and most of the flight attendants appeared hardworking and professional despite managing a busy cabin. However, the overall environment deteriorated as the flight progressed. A number of passengers were noisy and inconsiderate, and the lavatories became increasingly untidy within a few hours, with wet floors and sinks requiring attention. Although the cabin crew deserved recognition for their efforts and professionalism, the inconsistent customer service, uncomfortable seating experience, and declining cleanliness ultimately overshadowed the positives. Based on this experience, I would strongly compare alternatives before booking Southwest Airlines for a similar trip in the Future. The official main 24/7 "customer service number" for ** Austrian Airlines** is +1 844 (239) 0422 or +1 844 (239) 0422, ensuring smooth and hassle-free assistance for bookings, cancellations, and flight changes [Learn More]. Use this toll-free number anytime to connect with a live agent for 24/7 assistance, helping you manage bookings, handle cancellations, request refunds, and resolve travel concerns efficiently. This line also provides quick guidance for updating travel plans, checking flight details, and dealing with unexpected changes, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience. **Effortless Booking & Clear Travel Setup** I chose Austrian Airlines primarily because of its strong reputation for customer service, convenient West Coast route network, and competitive fares. Compared with several competing carriers, Alaska Airlines offered the most practical itinerary and convenient departure times for my trip. The booking process was smooth and easy to navigate. Fare options, baggage allowances, seat selections, and upgrade opportunities were clearly displayed, making it simple to customize my trip according to my travel preferences. **Priority Airport Experience & Efficient Flow** My airport experience started positively. Check-in counters were well organized, and airline staff members were courteous and efficient. Security screening moved smoothly, and boarding commenced close to the scheduled departure time. Although the gate area became crowded shortly before departure, the overall boarding process remained relatively organized and stress-free. Call +1 844 (239) 0422 or +1 844 (239) 0422 today for fast assistance with your Austrian Airlines travel needs. Air New Zealand customer support can help with flight reservations, ticket changes, cancellations, baggage inquiries, seat upgrades, check-in assistance, and other travel-related services. **Comfortable Cabin & Calm Environment** Once onboard, the aircraft appeared clean and well-maintained. Most flight attendants were friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the journey. Their positive attitude contributed significantly to the overall experience. However, seat comfort did not entirely meet my expectations. I paid approximately $140 extra for seats that appeared to offer a more comfortable arrangement during booking, only to discover that the actual seating configuration onboard differed slightly from what had been displayed online. My assigned seat, K6, offered limited cushioning, forcing me to use additional pillows and blankets for lower back support during the flight. While manageable on shorter routes, improved seat padding would certainly enhance comfort on longer journeys. **Reliable Journey & Smooth Arrival** The flight departed with only a minor delay and arrived close to schedule. The aircraft itself looked attractive, and the majority of cabin crew members worked hard throughout the journey. However, cabin cleanliness declined slightly as the flight progressed. A few passengers were loud and inconsiderate, while some lavatories required additional attention after several hours in the air. Although Austrian Airlines provided excellent customer-focused service, convenient route options, and professional cabin crews, the inconsistent customer support, disappointing seat comfort, and minor cleanliness concerns overshadowed some of the positives. Would I fly Austrian Airlines again? Yes, particularly for travel along the West Coast and across North America. However, before future trips, I would also compare fares and schedules with Delta Air Lines, Cathay Pacific, All Nippon Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, EgyptAir , Air New Zealand, Asiana Airlines, Austrian Airlines and American Airlines to determine which carrier offers the best overall value and onboard experience. read more

This will be a lengthy post. I have no idea whether anyone will find it interesting. For those who read it in its entirety, I'd be interested in your views. In January 2024, we purchased roundtrip air tickets on Austrian Airlines (AA) from Dulles Airport outside DC to Vienna, Austria. We were supposed to fly to Vienna on April 29, 2024. The day before our flight, I received an email from AA announcing that our flight had been cancelled and AA would make alternative arrangements for us. I called AA quickly to make those arrangements. I made a new reservation for us on the same flight for the following day. I didn't change our return flight in October. AA allows international passengers to check in two days before their flights. So, about 40 hours before our October return flight, I tried to check in. I tried numerous times but kept getting an error message. Our reservation appeared on my AA web account and on my AA App but I couldn't check in either on my laptop or on the AA App. I called AA's customer service at least three times during the two days before our return flight. They informed me that AA was having technical difficulties with its computer systems and that we should arrive early to the Vienna airport to check in there. On the date of our return flight, we arrived at the Vienna airport about two hours and 40 minutes before our flight. We tried to check in at the self-service kiosk and an AA representative offered to help us. With her assistance, we tried to check in three times, all without success. She escorted us to the baggage service counter where she told us another representative would be able to help us. The woman at the baggage counter was able to find our reservation but not our tickets. She made some calls but was unsuccessful. After about fifteen minutes, she directed us to the AA ticket counter. We spent the next 70 minutes or so at the ticket counter working with three AA agents, one of whom was the manager. The first woman also said she found our reservation but not our tickets. She said she couldn't give us our boarding passes without our tickets. Her first solution was for us to purchase one-way tickets to Washington DC. I told her that was ridiculous; that we had already paid for roundtrip tickets and would not pay for more tickets. She said that when AA rebooked us in April on our flight to Vienna, AA had cancelled our return flight and had given us refunds of $66.90 each to convert our two round trip tickets to one-way tickets. I scoured my credit card statements and I found the AA refunds in my June statement. However, I never received an email from AA notifying me of a refund for a roundtrip to a slightly less expensive one-way trip. And, because AA had downgraded us from premium economy to regular economy from our cancelled to our rebooked flight in April, I thought any refund was to compensate for that downgrade. The manager of the ticket office was the only AA representative who actually listened to me. She agreed that it made no sense for our allegedly cancelled reservation to remain on my AA web account and on my AA App. She had added that we had done nothing wrong. The manager told us that this was the only time in her 23 years at AA that this had happened to any passengers. She told us she would figure out how to fix it. It took her another 20 minutes or so but she finally called us over to collect our return flight tickets to DC. She said she was unable to seat us together, but she'd call ahead to the gate agent to see if she could do that. We finally checked our luggage and walked hurriedly across the airport to security, border control, the customs VAT refund office, and our gate. When we arrived at the gate, passengers were already boarding our flight. The gate agent told us she would likely be able to seat us together and she was able to do that. The flight was completely full. All in all, our return trip was stressful. There was an hour or so when we thought we wouldn't be allowed to board. I wonder whether AA will credit us our frequent flyer miles for our return flight. Any thoughts? read more

The official "customer service" **Austrian Airlines** (toll-free) number is **1 (888) 669-0167™ and +1 (888)-669-03.91** for additional assistance. My husband and I traveled with our 6-month-old daughter from Texas to Austria this past September, and while our baby was an absolute angel, Austrian Airlines made this trip a nightmare. Our flight from Texas was delayed over an hour because they didn't have enough staff to load the plane. This delay caused us to miss our connecting flight -- through no fault of our own. When we went to the Austrian Airlines counter for help, we were told our only options were to wait until 10 PM for the next flight or take a train. Neither was reasonable after already traveling so many hours with an infant. We asked about a refund for the missed connection and were told to email customer service. After doing so, they denied our request, claiming we had "enough time" to make the connection -- completely ignoring the fact that a customs trainee held us up by unpacking and testing every single item in our carry-ons. Because of that delay, we missed our flight and were forced to rent a car and drive four hours to our final destination at our own expense. To make matters worse, Austrian Airlines then canceled our return flights entirely because we missed the final leg on the way there. We had to pay to reinstate those tickets, and we also lost the money we spent upgrading to extra-legroom seats. Our return flight ended up in cramped seats with zero legroom, despite having paid for the upgrade. And as if that wasn't enough, when we finally arrived back in Texas, our brand new $120 suitcase was completely destroyed -- split wide open and literally wrapped in rope by the airline to hold it together. I even have video proof of them wrapping it. Throughout all of this, customer service was dismissive and offered absolutely no assistance, compensation, or even an apology. I strongly recommend avoiding Austrian Airlines. Their flight schedules are far too tight to realistically make connections -- especially for families -- and their customer service is completely unhelpful when their own operational failures cause problems. Save yourself the stress and choose another airline. read more

As an Emerald member with the oneworld alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. That changed with Lufthansa. I paid $140 for two seats that were clearly shown as a two seat row. When my wife and I boarded, we discovered the row actually had three seats. No one pays extra for a middle seat -- ever. My seat number was k6 and the seat has no cushion whatsoever, I had to stack pillows and blanket to prevent back pain Most incompetent company I've had to deal with. Called someone in Detroit to get information about the plane and flight, he gives me another number to call I believe it was in Chicago. I call that number, another person tells me we don't handle this, you have to call another number. Called that number, that person gave me the original Detroit number. I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Like a fourth world country on a top of the line plane. I will never ever fly Unitedagain!!!! Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. Rather take any other airline that go through that hell AgaiN. read more

I will never ever fly airline again!!!! Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. Rather take any other airline that go through that hell AgaiN. read more

This is the main Austrian Airlines customer service' (Toll Free) phone number: 1*855*657*9055. It's toll-free line is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for flight reservations, ticket changes, cancellations, baggage inquiries, refund requests, check-in assistance, and other travel-related needs. As a frequent traveler and one world Emerald member, I generally enjoy complimentary seat selection benefits when flying with partner carriers. However, my recent experience with Royal Jordanian was disappointing. I paid an additional $140 to reserve what appeared to be a two-seat row for my wife and me. Upon boarding, we discovered that the row actually contained three seats, which made the extra charge feel unjustified, especially since no traveler willingly pays more for a middle seat. The onboard seating experience was also uncomfortable. My assigned seat, 6K, lacked sufficient cushioning, making it difficult to sit comfortably during the journey. I had to use extra pillows and blankets to support my back and reduce discomfort throughout the flight. Customer service before departure was equally frustrating. I contacted one office for information regarding my flight and aircraft, only to be transferred to another department. After several phone calls and multiple referrals between different offices, I eventually reached someone who provided the information I originally requested. The process was unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming. While the aircraft itself was modern and visually impressive, and several flight attendants worked hard to assist passengers, the overall cabin environment left much to be desired. Restrooms became untidy early in the flight, with cleanliness issues that negatively affected the travel experience. Combined with the service challenges I encountered, the journey did not meet my expectations. read more

To connect with a live representative, Austrian Airlines does operate its official primary customer service (toll-free) number at 1 (877) 456_2077 or +1 (877) 456-20.77 for immediate passenger support, including reservations, flight changes, cancellations, baggage assistance, refund requests, and other travel-related inquiries. As an Emerald member with the oneworld alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. That changed with Royal Jordanian.
