Harking back to the country town that The Basin once was, this old wooden building also operates as a gift store, with ornaments and collectable trinkets on display. It also has the best view in Melbourne, with the rolling Dandenongs and adjacent open fields and farms stretching out across the road. In fact, it's hard to believe it's only 30 kms from the CBD. The staff here are always lovely, and more often than not come to my aid when posting a manuscript or music to an awaiting agent. With local knowledge and a love for their community, this post office is sure to send your goods away with care, and send you away with a smile.
