Surrey Downs. Go to any other branch for better service. Second review and no improvement from 12 months ago. Abysmal.

After a few years, I've come to the conclusion that the staff at this post office do not value friendly customer service.

Worst customer service ever don't bother trying to get your passport done here all staff are rude…read more Went in to get my passport done and was told to book a appointment so went out of the store and called them to book a appointment and purposely didn't answer the phone considering there was no customers in the actual shop! Came in another day after getting my photos for my passport done myself because it's cheaper. And they turned them down and was told again that if I booked a appointment I can get them done there so instead of wasting more time I went to another one and my photos were fine my passport has been lodged and I'm that angry I made this yelp account just to post a shit review so no one waste their time at this dumb store like I did! If you want better customer service go talk to a brick wall because you'd get more out of that then this store.

The Stirling Post Office, in my opinion is all about the staff. They are just that good. I'm sure…read morethere's a specific word for the type and volume of good they are, I just don't know it. I'm sure the Germans have a word for it. It's pretty much like any other small Australia Post, but I always walk out feeling somehow enlightened or emotionally lifted. If I were to open a cafe or restaurant I'd offer them all jobs. It's not just the friendliness, it's the additional advice, the accurate knowledge and the simple, happy feel that they as a team give the place. I always enjoy going here. Just give me an excuse, I'm sure I need to send someone something...

So you can imagine my surprise when I went into Australia Post the other day and felt like I was being transported into some space shuttle of the future. Clean lines, no isles full of cheap gifts you will never send to relatives overseas, limited product in store, fluro red lighting, someone on a Hoverboard could have zoomed past and it wouldn't have been out of place! Aus Post are now giving you a "self check out" option, which even I as a Gen Y'er was too scared to try. Apparently you can weigh your parcel, pay a bill or post a letter withi this machine. I'm sure that's the way of the future but for now, putting a good old stamp on the front of an envelope and knowing its going to be delivered to someone by a guy on a motorbike is the greatest reward about sending a letter! Even during "peak hour" (1pm) I was served quickly and with a smile!

But avoid during weekday lunchtimes unless you want to spend your precious free time in a huge line. The best bit? The Travelex staff in their special little booth. Only recently was the post office expanded to not only sells stamps, but there are birthday cards, stationery items and xlotto. Those that want their own postal box you might be on a waiting list as there's not as many as other locations. Service is always with a smile, and they are efficient in finding parcels to send you on your way. Parking is easy, and usually I get a park right out the front next to the postal box.
