I felt like I was walking into a post office of the future. It was incredibly advanced and clean, and heaps of bright space unlike the tired looking cluttered space full of junk in other post offices (this one still has the junk that I don't understand why post offices sell but it's neatly stored). There are a range of electronic post options, including a vending machine that sells envelopes and parcel sleeves, a self-posting area which generates postal receipts upon dropping a letter or parcel into the box, and electronic parcel lockers. There's still the traditional staffed counters for those who are scared of the new technology. It would be 5 stars if it's opening hours were better!

The long lines, the robotic, monotone staff, the uncomfortable silence, the smelly guy standing in front of you. It's just not fun, and usually eats up your whole lunch hour. Concord's Post Office isn't perfect, and you'll still find yourself waiting in line (especially at lunch time). But lines generally move fast, and the service is the best I've ever encountered at an Australia Post branch. Staff are competent and efficient, and that's all I really need in a Post Office.

It starts at the end of November and gets worse the closer the 25th gets. The Indian couple that run this Post Office deal with the stress with quiet, polite smiles and an efficiency that I simply haven't countered at any other post office (and let me tell you, I've been to HEAPS, son). They're friendly and competent and wonderfully professional, all kudos to them because they made my giant bag of post and mouth full of questions seem like simplicity itself, like nothing could have been easier. Escalated complaint to an AusPost senior exec, and got a new set of keys within 24 hours. For a business to have a sign behind the counter that says, "I can only please one person per day; today is not your day." is a disgrace. This palce reflects very poorly on AusPost.
