Fast forward 10 months and two extensive design implementations later (front and back yards) I couldn't be happier with the results. The results are two of the most uniquely designed & implemented yards in all of DFW. The backyard is completely native southwestern landscaping with rock, cactus and agaves imported from all over Texas, Arizona, and California. In contrast the front is classic southern with original elements picked up in New Orleans and Savannah. In the end the pictures, which I have posted here, speak for themselves. First to repair a rock wall that had not been built correctly by a previous contractor and was starting to fall over. Paul and his crew completely disassembled the wall, put in a more solid base and rebuilt the wall the right way. Second, we had Texas Nativescapes fix a drainage and erosion issue that was causing damage to our back fence. Paul and his team removed about 240 sq ft of grass and dirt and replaced with base of decomposed granite and river rock. Both finished projects look great.

Adjacent to the front door entrance of my single-family home, there was a space of ground filled with dead and obviously dying shrubs and bushes which was the aftermath of that historic cold spell that hit us here in Texas in February of 2021. Finally, I decided to do something about that eyesore. I made contact with Carlos Torres, a landscaping specialist with the Complete Tree Services, Inc. In my conversation with Mr. Torres in front of my house, he told me that his work crew could dig up, remove my group of ten shrubs and nearly six feet high bushes and replace them with a beautiful sight of greenery (I don't recall his exact words). Anyway, Carlos spoke with such sincerity about what his landscape crew could do. I believe what he told me, so I gave him the go ahead. Well needless to say, Carlos didn't exaggerate. In my humble opinion, his people backed up his promise (and then some). In one day, his crew proved to be masters of their craft. To merely say that I was satisfied with their finished work would be an understatement. Now don't get me wrong. The replanting that was done wasn't anything elaborate. In fact, I would call it a cross between simplicity with just a touch of elegance. All within 10 days we had Jesus come by to scope the project, got an estimate, scheduled the work and now it's all complete! Jesus was incredibly helpful and very kind, and Noe the onsite project manager was awesome. Both of them were also super responsive!
