Regina took us here to give us a little history lesson on Bentonville and this little area. So cool! It is right across from the Library, so a fun place to bring your kids afterwards or before, or even just yourself to read your book! Beautiful landscaping, benches, and covered seating/gazebo. They'll need to pick up and clear the fallen trees and debris. The trails were mostly cleared for walking, and the trail bikers didn't find any problems making their rounds, but it just wasn't its prettiest. I'm confident the City of Bentonville will get to it. It's a beautiful park with plenty of potential to get back to it's typical beauty.

BEAUTIFUL is the the one word to describe the Scenery here…read more I give this place only ONE STAR due to the people (Bicyclist) you may encounter here. Which can completely ruin your walk/hike. Most of the bicyclist are respectful. But over the last two years we've seen some real JERKS disrespect people walking through. This past Saturday was our first encounter with one of those Jerks. Pedestrians and bikers must share some of the same trails and bikers have signs that they they must yield to people walking and even notify when they are going to pass you so you're not ran over or hit by a bike. We've seen quite a few confrontations between pedestrians and bicyclist. My son and my 7 yr old niece were walking back from the bathroom as a family of 4 were walking the opposite direction were about to meet when this Moron tried to pass between them before the gap closed and hit and knock down my niece. He didn't have the patience to wait for the families to cross each other so he would have a clear path around after knocking her down he slowed down without stopping and look back and yelled "is she okay?" but didn't stop, just kept going. But then... As the JERK lay there on the ground with a bruised face, and two flat tires. I also didn't feel any concern or sympathy for him. But I still asked him if he was okay. I gave he a short lecture on karma and we left the park. Now remember not all bicyclists are that way. A lot of them are respectful and will wait or even let you know if they are ready to pass. But there are still those dumb few that don't care at all.

It is across the street from the Amazeum off of J street. There is a large parking lot for the park. You will have no problem finding parking! Well, unless there is some large happening, in general you should be good. AMENITIES: The park has bathrooms and drinking fountains. There is also a covered picnic table area. Along the pathway of the pond/fountain there are benches as well. PARK: This is a pretty large park. My daughter loves playing by the pond and I have to constantly convince her it is not a good idea to go swimming in the water haha. There is a large field where there are wildflowers. There is a pathway you can walk through it. There are a lot of concrete walkways to walk around the pond/park. The landscape around the park is nicely maintained and generally there are beautiful flowers as well, unless it is winter :( haha. Great park!!

(Parked just outside the fence near right field.) Long story short, we are COVERED in Chigger Bites!!!! This was the only place where both of us had gotten out of the truck together at the same place other than home. So it is obvious the parasites came from the park grounds. How absolutely ridiculous that you can have such a beautiful park that is infested with parasites!!!

We had time to kill before we could checkin, so the first place all my girls ventured towards was the creek. Osage Creek, a brisk walk from our parking spot, had water snakes, fish, and small black crayfish - yet none of this bothered my kids or our dog. It was so dang hot on July 24, 2025 that the kids walked barefoot in the creek and the dog plopped down on her belly for a break. Lol. A walking path, public restrooms, and playground were nearby. Free parking. Trash free. The only thing that caught us off guard was when an unleashed dog rushed over to my leashed canine. The owner was slow to respond yet apologetic. Huge fan.

There is street parking all along the park, except for the south side. To the east of it there is a decent size parking lot. All parking is free. AMENITIES: This park has bathrooms and drinking fountains located at the bathroom building. There are also plenty of benches and tables, most aren't covered, but there is a big table by the playground that is shaded. PLAYGROUND: Their is a large playground at this park. The entire playground is enclosed by a fence, which is awesome!! Keep your kids trapped inside haha. There are two gates to get in and has a lock that is difficult for kids to open. The fence definitely helps make you feel more secure that your kid isn't wandering off into the street or to a stranger haha. Obviously you should be watching your kid, but those little ones can be fast. There are two separate play structures. One is aimed at younger kids and the other at older kids. My almost 3 year old likes to play at both. There are also swings next to the smaller kid playground. Two bucket seats and two regular seats. Inside the playground there are a few benches and tables. One larger table is under a cover, great for shade! In the summer I felt that the playground didn't get too hot because there are some big trees surrounding the play structures, so it helped a lot for the slides and parts of the play structure to not get too hot. Outside of the fenced area there is a large grass area with walkways and some tables/benches.

I let me toddler play on it, but I'm right there with her to make sure she doesn't fall or take a wrong step. Overall, it is a really fun park. They have a good variety of toys for kids to play on. I'm also a fan of the "see-saw", my friend and I played on it haha. So, kids and adults can have fun here! There is also a basketball court next to it. There are a few picnics tables too. Overall, it is a good park. I'm not a huge fan of the general area. I don't feel unsafe or anything being there, but still not a huge fan. Sometimes it also smells a little bit, I think it is something with the draining between the park and the parking lot. There is a small/medium sized parking lot right next to the playground. The dog park is huge with lots of different things to keep pups entertained. There's an archery park too. The park butts up to the city airport so there's lots of planes to watch take off and land. The park is very new so the landscape isn't matured yet but when it does, it will be great. I look forward to coming back.
