Dr. Saad is my dentist, and he is fantastic! His bedside manner is polite, and personable, and his work is flawless. From entry to exit, the staff is attentive and caring. They offer discounts on work depending on the timeline, work to be done, and probably other stipulations. I've been to many dentists, but this is by far my favorite. They are so overpriced it's not even funny. I let them give me a cleaning ONE time and they tried to tell me I needed a $1,400 deep cleaning. Then proceeded to harass me over and over by calling me after me telling me I was never going to pay them for to do that service on me. I have my own damn dentist. This was just supposed to be something quick before a trip. It's been over 6 months since I spoke to the dental excellence people. Why do I receive a text on a SUNDAY about an upcoming appointment on this coming Tuesday that I did not set???? Nobody ever called me. Nobody asked if I was busy. I actually work that day so I know I wouldn't have booked that appointment. I check my emails for appointment verifications and the only email I can find it about an appointment was emailed to me on May 8th. The text message states that if I don't cancel (cancel an appointment I never set) within 4 days, I will be subject to paying a $60 broken appointment fee. I just saw this 2 days before they went behind my back and set this appointment. So it's now the weekend and obviously the office is closed leaving no way to contact them to tell them to remove me out their database. I could bet MONEY they went behind my back and tried to book an appointment in hopes I wouldn't notice so they can charge my card on file. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM. I am currently in a dispute with this office regarding charges they claim I owe, and my experience has been extremely frustrating. At the time of treatment, I was led to believe that my services would be covered by insurance. I relied on those representations when agreeing to move forward. After allowing me to come in,. get serviced, and let me leave without ever telling me insurance hadn't conirmed coverage OR at least telling me before hand that there was no insurance coverage after submitting the service to insurance to confirm or deny coverage, I was billed for an amount that I do not believe is accurate or properly verified. There are also serious concerns about whether insurance was properly verified or pre-authorized before services were performed, and I firmly believe that was done to quickly get me in the chair to receive services under the pretense that my deep cleaning was covered. That is unfair and a complete misrepresentation of information, to essentially trick me into thinking I had no financial obligation, JUST to turn around and claim that I owe them. Additionally, the document the office relies on for financial responsibility does not appear to have my signature, which is also very questionable and concerning because I never agreed to be finanically responsible for anything hence why my signature is not on the paperwork that they are trying to use against me. Why? It is because I never saw it and it wasn't presented to me to sign. They have literal documentation that shows the deep cleaning was covered by insurance, literally checked off the boxes "yes. covered by insurance" by Terry Hopper. If the service wasn't confirmed to be covered by insurance, or even if they were waiting for approval, why rush and get me in the chair KNOWING there is a possibility that the service may end up not being covered by insurace? That is wrong, and should be handled in a way more secured way to ensure patients aren't being rushed into getting serviced then later billed once insurance verification is denied. It is a very money hungry dental practice and I have a friend who also had the same exact experience. I strongly advise others to find a dental office with integrity, morale, and basic human decency. Find a dental office who doesn't pressure you into getting services, just to later turn around and try to bill you. Furthermore, don't allow them to scare you into thinking you owe them for an amount that was notably sent off to collections, and they STILL try to collect from your pockets. The world we live in is chaotic and hard enough. This place is a nightmare. The staff is extremely rude and disrespectful. They took advantage of my elderly mother, who trusted them. First, they told her dentures would only cost $500, then after she paid, they tried to charge her over $1,600 more. When she couldn't pay, they took the dentures back and refused to give them to her. I had an appointment scheduled for August 22nd but due to a family emergency, I will be going out of town. I gave a 72-hour notice to reschedule, yet they still charged a broken appointment fee. When I asked to speak with a manager, the receptionist transferred me to another receptionist who simply told me the manager and doctor wouldn't be in until 11 am. Instead of addressing my concern, they proceeded to try to sell me on a promotion. This is my second set of braces, but first time with them, and I have never had this kind of experience before. They blame it on the new management... The new management does not seem to value their patients or show any understanding when emergencies arise. Very disappointing. Please advise, they are all about Money. Please ask questions because they will tell you that Insurance will cover it and charge you at the next appointment. Has happened to me once, now this. All 5 star reviews are fake they bribe customers with free overpriced cleanings and have Absolutely horrible service and disgusting business tactics. This included attempting every way possible to pretend as though you didn't make your payments, they'll backlog your payments to make it seem like you owe more and add fees and are totally unapologetic about any inconvenience at all. The black/brown girl at the front desk is embarrassingly loud, rude and obnoxious for no reason. How can they hire people like this ? Also- The dental assistants and completely dirty and very unhygienic the mostly Hispanic dentists also don't even speak English well, literally cough into their hands when working on you, I had to remind the tech to clean the utensils after dropping it on the floor he put it on the table came back and tried to use it again and they DONT EVEN OFFER TEETH CLEANING WHEN REPLACING BRACKETS!!!! First time visiting this dentist office and wasn't the best experience. I should have checked the reviews first. First, I wasn't to happy with the office staff. To much personal convos and loud laughing. Secondly Dr. Nkweri was not professional. He poked in my mouth and left. Didn't go over the treatment plan, why extractions were necessary, or nothing. When I asked to speak with him due to the staff didn't know anything, providing wrong tooth info, and assumed he went over this info had me questioning the office. Well you have lost a patient. I will never see this dr until he can learn how to go over a treatment plan that you deemed necessary. To me that a red flag. One of the dentist was about to rinse my mouth out with the water pic thingy they use & it had some sort of "mystery red" stuff on it .. im sure it was blood from someone elses mouth . THE WORST! Don't be fooled by the newer office/seemingly clean facility. This place is unprofessional and does not care about patients. I was excited to find a dentist close to my house. I called to make an appointment and had several issues with the scheduler being able to verify my son's insurance. I spent two hours trying to assist with verification before we resolved I could bring the verification with me when I came. I did so and there was still issues at the time of the appointment. I was left in limbo wondering if they would see us or not. And ultimately they did, resolving everything had been checked/ok'd. They then offered a full service visit for us to return for cleaning/and fillings. So we scheduled. I received several confirmation texts/emails. One of which said if we cancelled, we would be charged $60. I flew back from out of town early to keep this appointment. So imagine my surprise when I come on a Saturday morning for my 9 o clock appointment and they tell me I don't have one! "Excuse me? How?" Is all I could say when I had text messages from two days prior confirming the appointment: So you're telling me, if I cancelled, I get charged. But you guys cancel and it's: sorry, we didn't get your insurance verified?? How the hell are we STILL dealing with the same issue we dealt with last visit??? And last visit, you told me you had my insurance verified and now you don't? I even brought it to you directly myself. What is the issue??? It's not my fault your schedulers or receptionist are incompetent, inept, and incapable of effectively doing their jobs. How hard is it to contact an insurance company, give the member ID and group ID and verify? I'm so confused! But this inconvenience today was egregious! I would highly advise the dentists at this facility to seek new office staff (receptionist and managers) because these hourly workers that are just their to click buttons and collect a little check have no regard and no respect for business or patients. Dentists of the facility, these people are causing you to lose money! I went for a cleaning and they were rushing my dental hygienist out of my area before she was done speaking with me. they told me I had 3 cavities which I had to prepay $400 to get filled - first red flag; I have never prepaid for dental work before and I've had my share of fillings. I went back 3 days later for my fillings and when I went to check out, they told me I had 3 more cavities and it would be $400 more dollars?? it's been a week since my fillings and my teeth have never been more sensitive. the dentist gave me 5 different shots and my jaw is still so sore. THEY OVERCHARGE FOR THEIR SERVICE STAY AWAY! I've been deceived by their pristine looking office. They OVERCHARGED me and kept quite about it AND 3 months after, they sent me ANOTHER BILL FOR $186 so I checked with my insurance co and DISCOVERED THAT NOT JUST I SHOULDN'T PAY THEM BUT THEY OVERCHARGED ME $40 the first time and WANT TO KEEP MY MONEY FOR ANOTHER 30 DAYS BECAUSE IT IS POLICY! Their manager Krystal explicitly told me that she doesn't want to get fired for giving my money that they took from me unlawfully. I was also asked "WHY AM I DOING THIS FOR JUST $40" and "Do you really need $40 that bad". Well, if it's JUST $40 THEN PAY IT BACK THE SAME DAY! not 30 days after the fact. I had work done here and, apparently, it was supposed to be done over four visits. The dentist told me that I needed a lot of work. The scheduler, after much gazing into her screen and frowning, and tapping and tapping on her keyboard, told me that they were running a special, and that there would be zero copayments. After the first visit, I was told that to complete the work, that it would cost over $2,000. It's a sad way to run a healthcare business (or any business). They should be more upfront and honest with their future customers, but they'll never see me, again. read more

Would not recommend. Went for a deep cleaning so that I can get braces elsewhere (I also don't recommend fast braces they rush your process and your teeth may not be perfect and they don't care ) when I went to my orthodontist they basically sent me a referral to a trusted dentist of there's that could actually deep clean my teeth because Austell Dental Excellence apparently didn't clean my teeth well enough. When I called about this issue they basically told me oh well and I had to file a dispute with my bank. They don't change their gloves here either the man who cleaned my teeth came to me with gloves on from the other patient and I had to ask him to change his gloves. These people are frauds!!! The keep charging my insurance company for things they didn't do and won't remove the charges so the insurance company wants me to pay for it. They are rude and nasty and don't care about their patients. My wife was supposed to get her braces removed a year ago and now her teeth look worse than before. I wish I could leave zero stars. My experience with this dental office was disappointing. I contacted the office and asked if they accepted Peach State they said yes and made the appointment. When I got into the office, with a bad tooth ache mind you, they tell me nothing until after the x-rays and assessments. Then they say so sorry but we DO NOT accept Peach State but we have this SUNBIT service that can help pay for your dental services today. And set another appointment for the saving of my tooth, I wanted pulled, which the dentist could not perform so I was referred to an endodontist. And that was going to be a charge of $1600 to do a root canal on the tooth I wanted pulled and I had no job to pay for. And then I was told I needed to have my teeth and gums cleaned in preparation for the root canal and implants. So, I was then introduced to their in-house plan for a discount on cleanings paid over 6 months to 1 year. I went into the office 3 times in as many months. I had 2 sets of x-rays done, never received a cleaning once, nor did I get any assistance with my initial tooth problem. Even after coming into their office for an emergency visit with severe tooth pain asking them to pull the tooth, which they never helped me with, they charged me hundreds of dollars for sitting me in a chair and simply looking at my x-ray. I still have the tooth and the pain after 4 months with this dental practice. And they refused to cancel the SUNBIT contract for the cleanings after I told them I could not afford the service because I lost my job and I had never received any cleaning service from them at all. So, I ended up paying $250 for a cleaning service I never received, and they charged me over $680 for an emergency visit where they did nothing to help my tooth or my pain. Please do not get sucked in by this dental office they are a rip-off. I asked for them to cancel the contract and they had me waiting around for a week so they could find any record of me getting the cleaning service. When they could not find any record of the service they had me waiting days for their decision to cancel the cleaning contract. They then refused to cancel it and told me it was my fault since I had rescheduled so many appointments. Even though they were told it could happen given the inconsistency of my work schedule. I received my fast braces treatment from Dr. Hopper's practice. The package included lifetime retainers and professional whiting. I received one set of replacement retainers. I relocated out of state and returned Georgia . I called to schedule an appointment for new retainers. I was on hold for six minutes. The receptionist said my warranty canceled, since I moved and had not a cleaning in their office in the past six months. I said Dr. Hopper was never my dentist, only my orthodontist. The lifetime retainers and whiting were included in my treatment package. I added this is a fraud. I will let every social media platform that I follow know he is a fraud. Also, do not like how he speaks to his staff. He is very critical of them in front clients. It made my visits uncomfortable. read more

I moved here with braces from another state and they said I was only supposed to pay 200 because my insurance covered everything and they would get started on treatment right away. LIES. They took MONTHS to put their braces on me and not to mention they lied on paper work otherwise. Fast forward a year and I still have braces on and my teeth have shown little improvement. They do not inform you on what they are doing on you, the communication is terrible. I get shot out the door every appointment. Sorry there isn't a Zero Selection I have been going to Terry Hopper for about two years. Without fail every appt I have had I have to call & discuss the bill always an issue. There is an overage of $100 floating around somewhere in the blackhole! They take it upon themselves when there is a dispute with the insurance & you have a balance they charge your debit card & or credit card without letting you know or your approval. They bill you for xrays that the insurance doesn't pay for even after you ask "Does the insurance Pay for these X-rays?" Then you get a statement from the insurance - they don't pay. Called the office & oh they confirmed that they would paid for the X-rays - just ignore the bill - then they charge your credit card - not letting you know or your approval...stay away. Dr Hopper is a great dentist but his office staff & billing practices are unethical. read more

I went to Austell Dental Excellence, located at 1680 MULKEY RD SUITE A Austell, GA 30106, on Wednesday December 8th, 2021 for a consultation for fast braces. I was told that my braces would be $3999 + $1000 (an up-charge for clear brackets). I was also told that I had a cavity on tooth 14. During my consultation, Dr. Hopper was being extremely condescending to the dental assistant, which made me incredibly uncomfortable to watch. He then disappeared from the consultation and never came back, so all of my questions were referred to a dental assistant. I went ahead and scheduled my appointment to have my braces put on for the following Thursday, December 16th, 2021. In order to make my appointment the dental assistant told me I would have to pay in full for the treatment. I told her that I did not have enough cash on me to pay the total, but that I could put more than half down on a card. I paid $2737 on my credit card, and when I came in on the 16th, I paid an additional $763 in cash. My insurance covered $1500, so that was my remaining balance. During my appointment, the dental assistant had to take photos and X-rays of my mouth. There was a metal piece that she was using to hold my mouth open as she took photos. She had gloves on, but she handed me the metal piece to place in my mouth as she took the photos. This made me uncomfortable due to the fact that I was not wearing gloves, nor had I recently washed my hands, and I said to her, "this doesn't seem very sanitary," and she laughed and waited for me to place the metal piece in my mouth. I was told for fast braces at this particular office, they are put on in three stages. For the first stage, they only put the braces onto your first four teeth. As the dental assistant was putting the braces on my teeth, one of the brackets fell off as she was trying to put the wire on. That evening, one of the brackets came loose, so I called the office the next morning, Friday December 17th, 2021, to let them know and the office assistant, Jaslene I believe, told me that I could come in sometime next week to have them remove the bracket, but that I would have to wait three weeks for someone to actually put the bracket on. I asked to speak with the Doctor himself because I felt that was ridiculous, especially considering the fact that the dental assistant told me that if a bracket ever came off, it would delay my treatment plan. So she had the dental assistant call me back and she assured me that I would be able to have the bracket put on the same time as the removal. Not even ten minutes after hanging up the phone, the entire wire and ALL four brackets popped off of my teeth, MID-CONVERSATION! This was painful and equally as embarrassing!  I could not believe that I sat an hour the day before, allowed my teeth to painfully shift, and paid so much money to this company only to have my braces literally fall off the next day. Because of this, as well as my discomfort in the facility, the unsanitary practices, as well as the staff clearly not being on the same page, I emailed the office requesting a full refund. I called the office for several days and kept being told I would get a call back, with no luck. After almost a week, The doctor said that He would be refunding me only $2024. He stated that I needed to pay for the clear brackets, and the deposit that was needed to book the appointment. I am completely blown away with how negligent this practice could be, and how down right rude they could be to their patients. No patient should have to put their possibly dirty hands in their own mouth during a service, and they definitely should not be forced to continue treatment after multiple instances of negligence! I also got a second opinion on the "cavity" and was told a filling was completely unnecessary! My overall experience at Austell Dental Excellence has left a very unpleasant taste in my mouth and I am left to wonder at their less than ethical business practices. read more

Dr. Terry hopper put braces (fast track) on my teeth back in September 2016, the braces came off early this year. There had been numerous staff changes. I put up with a lot but today was it, I came in for a cleaning and I was advised I had a missed appointment, veronica could testify after I took my braces off I never made a follow up. The doctor refused me, stated I had to pay, the No show fee that I never scheduled, veronica told him I didnt make an appointment. I gave the girls a farewell gift, I had no intentions on coming back,. They continuously harassed me to schedule appointments, via text and telling me a bout new services. I was shocked by dr.
