There was no pressure to purchase anything, simply a light informative meeting that was fun to attend. The meetings are held in the "Depot room " at the library. I enjoyed learning some new interesting facts about the Hawaiian islands, as well as several travel tips. We also had a free prize drawing, and yea Me, I was the lucky winner. I have an aloha bag, with coffee cup, beach towel and flower lei. I'm all set Mark your calendars for June 10th, 2019 at 6:00. The next meeting will be about visiting National Parks.

It's a great library for such a small town. They expanded recently and now have a huge children's…read moresection, more meeting space, and a little cafe. There isn't always a lot going on in Lawrenceburg, and the library does the best they can to remedy that. There is always some sort of event going on here, from educational speakers, reading hours for kids, or even concerts. They also have art shows pretty often with lots of unique stuff. I grew up in the area, and although there really aren't a lot of things I can claim to love about Lawrenceburg, the library has always been a little haven for me. Also, they carry all of my mom's books (quick promo for MIchele Stegman) so I have to give them major props for that!

She even helped me resolve my issue that caused a blank page to be printed. She quickly helped me by showing how to fix it, and even came over to the printer in-person (to double check with me, that it was working correctly) so, my document was printed within seconds.

This continues to be my and my children's favorite branch in the Hamilton County system of…read morelibraries. Yes it is small. Yes it has a small parking area. So why is this branch our favorite? The customer service here is impeccable! We moved, and this branch is too far away to come to with any regularity. We have tried several other branches near our new home. None of them come close to the special place these librarians create. The Miami Township Library has created a magical place for children. If the children really respond positively to a particular song, Miss Kathy will work it into future programs. The librarians try and learn every child's name. This makes the children feel special. Another way they make the childen feel special is that they interact with the children before and after the programs. At the other branches we have tried, there are children who are clearly regulars. Those librarians show little to no recognition of them. They don't seem to try and get to know the children, new or regular. My youngest is always disappointed when we go elsewhere. Those librarians don't hold a candle to Miss Kathy, and all the other librarians and volunteers who make the Miami Township branch so remarkable. All the early mentioned hiccups have work arounds. The branch may be small, but items may be transferred here from other locations. Place the transfer from home, either online or over the phone, and the book/media items are to this location in roughly three days. Transfers may also be placed in branch. Additional parking may be found on the other side of the building, at the community senior center.

Finally got a membership here in my 3rd year of working downtown and it's the best $65 I've spent…read morein 2025. There's so many cool events for both members and non-members. I've found books both popular and obscure. And it's free to come in, look around, and soak in the Hogwarts-esque energy. Which is even better after the recent extensive renovations.

As libraries go, this is rather retro in the sense that it still has a lot of physical books and some, but not a ton of spaces for people to sit or do meetings. I imagine the library of the future being a ton of little rooms for zoom meetings. That being said, this tiny town doesn't seem to place too much demand on the space, and it's a nice place to be.

It was plenty busy when I was there on an afternoon between 4-5 p.m. I like that most (if not all) of the library branches in N. KY seem to be open seven days a week. That was not the case where I lived in E. TN. Anyway, I sought out this branch because of a little blip I saw in some local publication about a Princess Diana exhibit. I expected more than a couple of glass bookshelves with paper dolls, some magazine covers and some collector plates. I would have appreciated some related biographies, newspaper article clippings, etc. But back to the library itself, nice children's area and plenty of public use computers.
