Bummer, visiting from Michigan and had this place bookmarked for a visit on my trip. Came with my grandson in a stroller and could not access. No wheelchair ramp. 4 steps on one side and more on other. I asked employee and she said Nope, historical buildings and all, not very friendly or accessible. Then walked away with no offer for help. 2 guys walked by as well. Def not in Midwest anymore. As a novice carpenter, pls use the spare wood in attached barn and build a damn ra

What a fun place to search for vintage and antique fixtures and furniture. As I work on updating and restoring our 1938 house, I'll be back. They have tons of light fixtures, hardware for doors, and furniture. It looks like they have salvaged wood as well some outdoor items.

Browsing the selection of salvaged materials at Aurora Mills feels a bit like picking through the bones of a thousand deconstructed houses, businesses and other edifices. In reality, it's probably more than that. There's a lot of really great, unique antique pieces here, from furniture to fixtures to fittings. The only downside here is that everything has its price, and that price is going to be high. Exorbitantly so. That said, if you're looking for a one-of-a-kind item, the missing piece of lost pair, or an objet d'art from a distant decade, Aurora Mills is going to be one of your best bets.

Hardware, bathtubs, some furniture, building parts and stacks of old wood fill several buildings and an outdoor lot. They have a good collection of one of a kind doorknobs, lock plates, drawer and cabinet pulls. In fact, Restoration Hardware should get down here, buy them up and put them back into manufacturing. They have a large collection of 3d letters of all kinds. They are missing out on the opportunities in their aluminum letters - no X or O! They do have a selection of industrial cast iron table legs, they are expensive at about $4-500 per set of 4. Everything is clean and well displayed. Their Portland branch is a little hipper and industrial. This location is almost exclusively traditional antique aesthetics. I think it would be a fun job to have a business like this. It's similar to Portland's Hippo Hardware.

Fun windows we got for our tree house

I've been here many times now and have found beautiful windows, hardware, doors, ladders and I just keep coming back. The staff is amazing and know how to help bring the vintage look into new modern homes. Love this place!

Not handicap accessible despite plenty of room to put in a ramp. Very disappointed by the extremely high prices as well.

It's super cute and historical - complete with its own walking tour! Aurora is a hidden gem - and is less 30 minutes south of Portland! The city is pretty small so it's definitely doable as a day trip depending on how long you want to spend antique-hunting. I've never seen so many antique stores in one place - there are at least 10 within walking distance, and a lot more if you include the ones outside of the quaint little Main Street area. PRO TIP: don't visit on a Monday though - as tons of the shops and restaurants are closed oddly enough. The city centers around historical Main Street which is pleasantly walkable and offers clean public restrooms and picnic tables to take a break on. It also offers a really interesting self-guided walking tour of the historic buildings and town called the "Emma Walk" and you can find it online here: https://olis.oregonlegislature.gov/liz/2013R1/Downloads/FloorLetter/460 Another little fun fact - Aurora is the home of Life Flight - the largest nonprofit air ambulance company in the country - who knew?!! There are lots of cute boutique hotels and restaurants in the area - as well as major chains in nearby Wilsonville if that's your thing. Every summer they have a fun festival called Colony Days. The town is easy to find - right off I-5. And there's lots of public parking in the Main Street area. Aurora is really a true hidden gem - I'd never heard of it and only stumbled upon it after digging around on Google looking for a fun place to stay on my way out of Oregon that's close enough to PDX but not inside the city lol. Definitely worth a day trip!

There were so many beautiful lamps and stained glass panels - very impressive! There are 3 floors to explore and tons of vendors. The huge store is well organized with a great flow and layout. I barely had time to explore - I almost didn't visit bc it was a Monday and I thought they were closed Mondays but they just started their summer hours and are open 11-3 on Mondays!! I barely made it before close but the staff were so nice and let me have a quick run around. Prices are decent for the area - antiques seem to be a tad pricey in this town - possibly bc it's their claim to fame. It's in a great location though in this lovely historical town. Parking is all street parking but abundant and easy to navigate. Definitely worth exploring!

All the norms - furniture, art, dinnerware and serving pieces, glasses, clothing, books, jewelry, collectibles - it's all there! What interests me the most is that there are still lots of buyers for these pieces. I say that because many Of my friends, and myself, held on to lots of my mother and grandmothers treasures but when downsizing, the next generation had no interest. Many of us donated to Goodwill and the Salvation Army and I see so many similar pieces in this store and other antique shops. While not my taste - I prefer mid-century mod - I still appreciate the beauty and marvel over many of the inventive items of the day. The furniture is so detailed, the chests and cabinets with lots of compartments and drawers, all so beautiful. The serving pieces and bar ware always captures my attention and Main Street Mercantile had lots! Definitely visit while in Aurora because if you are visiting this town, it's most like for the antiques. Just be careful walking around as the floors aren't even and steps appear out of nowhere. Prices definitely on the higher side.
