Felt something hard inside, thought it was a weird tag or something. With. My. Fingers! I pulled out 2! Pieces of hard shit! I immediately took it off, and there were 2 shit stains! The store didn't wash their clothes!! This is the most disgusting thing ever, and I have traveled all over and backpacked. Shame on them for not washing their shit, but double shame on me for not looking at the crotch . They need to wash everything they get in that store. Especially the swimsuits!!! So upsetting! Worse of all, I showed my friend the ugly suit. I didn't even see the stain in the picture, and she did!

I am in the same zip code!!! Finally talked to an "informed person" and got this scheduled. In the mean time another volunteer called to schedule (which was already done). Apparently lack of communication is a real problem amongst these volunteers. I worked very hard to make it simplier to take my items and don't appreciate the efforts I've made to be wasted, I don't have the luxury of free time, I need to move ASAP! On the day of the pick up (scheduled between 9-12), no one arrived. Then the call came it would be 1:30-2:00. That also didn't happen. Again, Dave called and cancelled completely too much stuff already in the store. Why didn't they notice that before agreeing to take my stuff in the first place. Unprofessional and rude to say the least! Suggestion: Don't accept assignments if you don't have the time or space to follow through. I rather doubt homeowners are calling and scheduling unless there is a real need for your services! Very disappointed in this organization and highly recommend if you need the services in a timely manner, best to look elsewhere.

They were never returned. Five years ago, she got back to Anacortes, but the store was closed while she was there (2020 and all that madness). Quick advance to September 2025, she had to drive round looking for the store, we finally found it close to a shipyard, but its doors were closed for good. There happened to be a note on one of the doors, giving us the address where the store had relocated. Not only did she find the place mats that she'd lost, but much more... I went into the store after she returned to the car (puppy to tend to), and I found a number of things I was looking for: old coins, nautical stuff, old photos, a veritable treasure trove. This entered my list of places to revisit, and I'll be sure to find a new supply of snarky magnets (which I leave on the refrigerator door of a few deserving victims... heh heh heh). Nice place. Excellent selection, lots to see, more to buy. Enjoyed talking with the proprietress.

The host was accommodating for our late arrival, which was nice. The neat part was the balcony overlooking the street during the day and evening. The downside is we visited during a hot spell. There is no A/C; major bummer. There was one portable fan but insufficient for all three sleeping areas. Late night and/or early morning there are some loud trucks (trash?) that pass through; they will briefly wake you. The coffee pot pours water through before it's heated. If you have multiple guests, a mirror would be nice outside the bathroom. Why four stars? I would stay here again, and be prepared for the inconveniences. I love the location. There are restaurants, literally next-door, and across the street and all the great shops are within walking distance.
