Made an appointment for the next day. Arrived at the scheduled time. They took her back and performed other exams discussed during the call. Then they came back and said they did not have the required injection that we had discussed in detail the day before. I asked why I was told to come in if they didn't have the drug necessary for the appointment made. I was told I needed to calm down by some old lady behind the desk, who then promptly escaped to the back to avoid my further questions. They said the front doesn't know what is in stock. I told them I had wasted an hour to drive there and was told "Yeah, I have to drive half an hour to work every day." Not sure what they were trying to prove there. Total incompetence. No apologies, just attitude because I wanted answers as to why I was told to come in. Very rude people at the front desk. Doctor kept hiding in the back. Very unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and find a different place.

They took one look at him and knew he was bad off. They immediately took my baby and rushed him to the back and begin working on him. They allowed me to stand there and observe everything they did to my King. I am a medical person and I am familiar with the processes of triage patients with emergencies. The physician performed a sonogram and began to tell me my options of care. I had to make the most difficult decision in my life. I decided not to be selfish and to have my King put to rest. This facility not only comfort me, but my family as well. They gave us a room and told us to take our time, they offered refreshments and continually checked on us. They just went out of their way with compassion and concern. I have never experienced this type of Customer Service in my entire life. It made me and my family feel heard and understood about our wishes. Once my family completed our goodbyes and they put our King to rest, they comfort my family, some even shared tears with us. They gave us things to remember our baby boy King that I will cherish forever. This hospital will always hold a special place in my heart. This is a place that I would love to work at and be proud to say that I worked there because each and every person who works in that building are Gods angels, and truly care about the animals that they treat. I will always be grateful. I know this was God's plan because it all went perfectly. Yes, I left without a dog, but I now have a new family that I would cherish with my other pets. Thank you again to each and every one of the staff who comfort my family, who gave my comforting hugs and who helped my King. I pray that this establishment continue to employee such phenomenal people who I believe are Angels. I would recommend this pet hospital anyone will listen. I am forever grateful.

I assured them I would medicate her and the first couple times they did a descent job, despite my dogs non cooperation. This past visit on Saturday was a different story. When they went to bathe her, she took the clippers into the bathroom and attempted to trim her face which was a big mistake.! I heard my pup shriek in pain and was then told she may have cut her eye, after seeing the blood around her eye and on her white fur on her face. That is when I saw the clippers in her hand. I told her I know it wasn't intentional, but she should never try to use clippers or scissors except at the grooming table where she has a semblance of control over the animal. Her husband then reassured me that she just nicked her skin near the corner of her eye. I couldn't tell because I am on crutches due to an injury. I let them finish the groom, paid them and tipped them and even reassured her that I was not angry and accidents happen. It was the way they handled the situation moving forward that caused me to write this. The next morning my pups eyes were filled with a white mucous and she could barely open her eye. I immediately called the vet and got her in. My daughter had to take off work to come pick us up to drive us because of my foot injury. I was told she actually sliced open both the upper and lower lid with the clippers and she needed both oral antibiotics and antibiotic drops. Also anti-inflammatory medication. Because she required drops twice daily for a week , no matter what, my daughter had to take an entire week off to be able to drive to my home to administer the drops. She also had to pay the $175.00 vet bill as I am out of work for 12 wks. Due to my injury. We also had to buy a small muzzle to keep her still and my son is also coming over everday after work to help my daughter with the drops. This is a complete nightmare for both my precious dog and everyone else involved! I contacted the groomers to let them know what happened and all tjey responded with is, "you will have to find another groomer as she is not a match for us." Are you kidding??? They didn't offer any apologies or offer any help at all with the bill. This was 100% their responsibility and they just disappeared!! I am so angry with how they handled this And this is why I am warning others who may be considering hiring them....Please DON'T!!! They ate too young and inexperienced! Also no integrity. They seem very nice on the outside, but beware of what's underneath the smiles and nice words!!!!

Her website states she guarantees the health of her kittens, however, that is simply not true. My college age daughter purchased a kitten from her in August '25 (as an emotionally support cat), this breeder has refused to send the paperwork. My daughter asked her for the paperwork as she was taking the kitten to the vet (within the 72hrs required per her website), this breeder told her "Don't do that, as the vet will expose him to bacteria. They can't do much even if they are sick." My daughter took her advice whilst she waited for the paperwork. Which she still has not received. She eventually did take him to the vet as he was not gaining weight (he was tiny - his weight did not match his age)where it was discovered her kitten has a fatal disease and a growth on his cheek that is now grown massively. They give him maybe a month to live. I reached out to her (the breeder), only to be given excuses and a bunch of conspiracy theories about vets etc. She clearly knew this kitten was ill and refuses to return the money! We have spent over $3,000 trying to save him and caused so much pain - my daughter is emotionally distraught. Clearly others have had similar experiences. Not OK! This breeder should be shut down - it is despicable what she is doing! Your reply to my review is offensive, an excuse and the exact opposite of what you claim to require on your website. You have not taken ANY responsibility for the fact that this kitten and others were ill and should never have been given for adoption. Your reasoning is irrational and not factual. My college age girl has plenty of time to take care of her cat. You cannot speak to that.

AND IF SHE DOES, SHE IS PURPOSEFULLY SELLING KITTENS WITH GENETIC PREDISPOSITION FOR HYPERTROPHIC CARDIOMYOPATHY!! We purchased two kittens from Texas Ragdoll Kittens in September of 2020, and picked them up to bring home in November. One of our precious kittens was diagnosed with Feline Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy about a month ago by a cardiologist at Texas A&M University's Small Animal Hopital. Today we received test results that the other has tested positive heterozygous for the HCM mutation. When we previously contacted Joni about this, she blamed the rabies vaccines for causing this GENETIC issue. Anyone with half a brain that has a rudimentary understanding of science knows that that is NOT how genetics works. She also tried to tell us that we needed to wait until the kittens were over 10 lbs before giving them a rabies vaccine because they were too small for a rabies vaccine dose meant for 10 lbs cats. That is NOT how vaccines work. Vaccine dosages have NOTHING to do with weight. Dogs and cats of all sizes get the same dosage. We want all buyers, and potential buyers, to be aware of possible genetic health issues when purchasing a kitten from THIS breeder. It's obvious that Joni Preston doesn't care about the kittens that she sells, regardless of what she tells you. She is just in it for the money. Unfortunately, we trusted this con artist and lined her pockets with $4,000.  Now, one of our precious, sweet babies is dealing with a terminal illness that could have been avoided if this breeder had done proper genetic testing on her breeding cats. Our family is heartbroken over this! We would hate to see another family have to go through what we are going through as the result of purchasing a kitten from this irresponsible breeder. If you are seriously considering purchasing a Ragdoll kitten, please, please, please look for another breeder! If you want to buy a Ragdoll, look for a breeder that is reputable, ethical, and registered. Look for a breeder that actually cares about the kittens that they breed. I promise you that Joni Preston and Texas Ragdoll Kittens aren't any of those things. Unfortunately, we found that out the hard way. Don't make the same mistake that we did.
