It's in a generic shopping strip but surprisingly large inside. You upload whatever picture you want so everyone does something different. Aupreez isn't your ordinary paint and sip. It's a unique craft-making experience where you get to create a personalized piece of art made just for you. The atmosphere and tech is impressive. The music selection is great and the dim lighting creates a chill vibe. I got really into my artwork once I saw it on the phone and even more when I saw it projected onto my canvas. This was my first ever Paint & Sip experience and it has set the bar extremely high. I'll start this with what you need to know: 1 - READ THE INFORMATION listed on the site and when you register. This is especially important because if you want to upload a photo to paint, you need to do so BEFORE you arrive. 2 - Come expecting to have a good time and then do so. Owner Obi, is super chill, funny and wants everyone to lean into their intuition when it comes to their piece, but he is willing to help when needed. He'll be the first to tell you he's not a painter - his medium is actually sculpting (and you can see one of his pieces in the studio) - but he knows some tricks to help you. 3 - READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE TABLE - this step-by-step guide will help you get through the process more easily and all the materials are there for you. If you need a pencil sharpener, just ask and the staff will bring you one. Now, the experience was wonderful. When you arrive, the check-in area is arranged like a gallery and you can see digital prints of previous people's creations. You'll sign a waiver, grab an apron and head to your assigned seat. From there you head to the back where you can take your photo on the digital devices, select your color palette and design, get your paint from the dispenser and by the time you get to your seat, your image is being projected onto your workstation. One quick note about the designs - "greens" are marijauna leaves so if that isn't your thing, choose florals if you're going for an outdoor vibe. The entire paint experience is 4 hours which you might think seems too long. Trust me, it's not -unless perhaps you are working on a smaller canvas and you have followed all the instructions about photos (including the pre-upload). I finished with about an hour left but I also paint detailed things as a hobby so this didn't feel difficult and I could still connect with my date and the others at my table. There's more than enough room at the stations for it to be an intimate experience if you are on a date night (you can BYOB), but you can also hear the people seated next or across from you in case you are in a group. To that point, this is a great place for date night -in fact, the concept originated from the owner creating a similar experience for his girlfriend - or for a group of family/friends. The place can seat 60 people to work but hold 90. When you're finished, Obi films a video and takes photos of you with your masterpiece and of your masterpiece on its own. If you're shy, give this part a little thought so that you can project confidence when you show off your work. What I like about this is, it once again puts you in the spotlight and allows you to take a moment and be excited/proud of what you created. A note here, Apple users can quickly get their videos and photos via Airdrop -no waiting around for days for an email like other experiences who take and send photos later. What I loved about this is how fun and relaxing it was. Was it a new challenge, yes? But was I happy with the final product? Yes, and I have a quality photo of my final work that I love and will hang in my home. This is a new place so get your reservation in and be one of the first to experience this. I have a feeling they may get booked quickly in the near future. They also offer private events in case you want to rent the entire space. read more

A hidden gem in Pearland! Parking? Super easy. Vibes? Immaculate. Music? 10/10. I visited Aupreez with my teenage daughter and we both had the best time. The space is cozy, creative, and just dripping in good energy. Whether you're rolling solo, planning a cute date night, or looking for a unique party spot--this is it. One important tip: read the directions when selecting your photos! The artwork they create depends on having the right kind of photo, and it makes a huge difference in the final piece. If you're unsure, trust the vision and ask for help--Obe, the in-house artist, truly knows what he's doing. Let him guide you!
