So that's why I wanted to get my hair done while on vacation in Augusta. I found this spot here on Yelp, saw that it had all five star reviews, and had a good feeling about it. And my feeling was definitely right! They're certainly masters at what they do. I came in as a walk-in and my lady and I were greeted right away by one of the barbers. She said she had an opening after one more client, and I was more than okay with waiting, since I didn't have an appointment. I watched the five barbers and all of them were doing great work. They know their cuts and it shows. After about 15 minutes, India, my barber, was ready for me. I told her what I wanted, also asking for a beard trim, and she went right to work. She was very friendly too. I'll admit, I'm a talkbox when I'm getting my hair done, and I enjoyed talking with her. She asked me questions during the cut to make sure I was getting what I wanted. When I saw the finished product, I was VERY impressed. I looked better AND felt better! She did an amazing job on my hair on my beard. As for the price? Just $27 for it all ($26 plus $1 for a credit card payment). How can you beat that? Before I left, I told India I'll definitely come back next time I'm in town and in need of a cut. Master by name, masters by skill. If I find a spot like this back in Cincinnati, I'll be going there ALL the time. An expert cut and beard trim at an unbeatable price in a very laid back atmosphere. He pushed/shaved her hairline back. He also dang near bald both sides of her head. When he was shown a picture of what her hair is usually is cut like, he responded "what's the difference". I am so pissed off! Her sister took her to the appt, she's also pissed off! And my daughter is in tears! And for Kevin to act like it's all good, nothings wrong pissed me off even more.

We usually always make an appointment but we've walked in a few times just fine as well. He is always able to make an accommodation for us. He makes polite chit chat with my son and husband when they go. Sometimes the cut takes a while, but that isn't anything to complain about because we are always floored with his precision. He's even given my husband tips about getting a smoother bald shave. Even when my son had the more higher maintenance cut of a high top, he always got all of the edges so trim, tight and proper. We also tried a completely new Mohawk style on my him which he was nervous about, but it came out so awesome and handsome thanks to the skilled hands of JT. We were truly appreciative of JT for helping us find a new haircut that made my son feel so confident and handsome! To say we love the results is an understatement. It's also worth noting that when we felt a haircut could be been changed a little (higher fade, a design), JT is always flexible and helps us make tiny changes. No professionalism at all. After reading all the reviews on Google I still went there over the last two years and ignored the complaints but I guess when it happens to you it touches home a bit. Needless to say avoid this barbershop. I went to Nate because he transcended his pay to virtual, most if not the remaining barbers required cash only.....intoday's environment you'd think you would have a virtual currency transfer like cashapp /apple pay.

The barbers are friendly and professional... they are not at a loss for words on the topics of sports, music, food and politics which, in my opinion makes for an interesting visit every time. Str8cuts has a reasonable price chart for multiple services from cuts, shaves, razor service, hair dying and military cuts. Marcus, the son of Patrick, cut my hair and that dude gave me the best faded haircut I've ever had.
