I enjoy the variety as the seasons change and I've always found great pieces, a fantastic deal or style I wouldn't have found otherwise at a regular store. It's also just nice to break from your own style and have someone else's style to choose from for a change plus you can't find many items in retail stores as the trends change so quickly. There is free street parking right in front and in the area. Consigning is pretty straightforward just remember to check in with them when you near your expiration date if you want your items back otherwise they offer to donate on your behalf which is convenient. I never went there when it was originally owned and run by Rosa which some of the very old reviews refer to, but the current owner Lisa is GREAT, contributes to charitable causes and has a fun Instagram page showcasing new and fun items. The service in general is always friendly and helpful. Lastly, it feels really great to support a local mom owned business and helping the environment by shopping eco-friendly too!

That's precisely what happened when I purchased a Tombolini suit from AK Rikk's in early September. I paid dimes on the dollar, but got a remarkable product shipped to me (for free --- and in a valet-sized boxed; I mean, the suit was literally hanging from a makeshift mailable wardrobe). AK Rikk's is expensive (even when it's discounted), but it is a rare jewel in a world of cut-glass-fast-fashion-fakes, and one of the few vibrant retail clothing palaces that still exist in this world of dead malls and Ebay deadstocks. If you can't get to AK Rikk's in person (as I couldn't), check them out on YouTube. This is the first thing I've purchased from them (on their website), and I don't know if there will be anything else from them in my future, but it's a Wilkes-Bashford, Mitchell's, Bergdorf-Goodman, Neiman Marcus level shopping experience from start to finish. It's north of Paul Stuart (price-wise), but that "north" extends all the way to Heaven (experientially).

The shoes are mostly Sorels, which always stand up incredibly well to our rough Michigan winters. Pro-tip: there is usually a Sorel trunk show or two every year, and special discounts offered for trunk shows and fashion shows! They have 4 locations: Grand Rapids, Rockford, Grand Haven, and Kalamazoo. Their website has inventory from all locations. Various events are held at each location as well. Kalamazoo is the newest, but it looked like they had a huge sidewalk sale this year. Grand Rapids hosts a great fashion show every [normal] year with other partnering local businesses and restaurants, drink tickets, a live DJ, and tons of great raffle prizes. I've also attended smaller versions of the fashion show at the Grand Haven and Rockford locations and they are so much fun! With the shut downs this year and social distancing in play they've adapted the sales and fashion shows to virtual events, which have still been surprisingly fun! They are interactive, have swag bags if you reach a certain $ order amount, and they still do giveaways by asking fun and simple questions. I think there have been 4 this year; the sale on the most recent one was insane!! At first glance the prices might seem high. That's partly due to the quality of the brands they carry. But they also run sales along with the fashion shows and occasionally throughout the year. Rewards can be earned on your account when you spend a certain amount, plus birthday discounts. And their accessories are actually very reasonably priced as well for the quality. I love this store! The Rockford location is my favorite (and closest). The shop is so cute, it's easy enough to shop around and see everything, and the stylists are all so helpful and friendly. Definitely check them out if you haven't already. Support Local!!

I honestly feel like I could wear (and would want to wear) just about anything in the shop. They have everything from the super trendy styles to a more classic piece, all very tasteful. In addition to clothing, they offer accessories, bags, candles, shoes, and water bottles. Their price point varies so i feel there are options for everyone; some very affordable pieces to more high end. The girls that work here are super friendly and helpful, without being pushy. The store is clean and super cozy. They do not accept returns, just in-store credit or exchanges. They have a website, also! Can't say enough good things about this place!
