A few in our group had only done yoga a couple of times and Maya was excellent with providing level appropriate modifications for everyone. I was also delighted that Maya incorporates a little bit of reiki body work/aromatherapy into the practice, so it was a lovely little "happy ending." We found Maya to be warm, very friendly and approachable Communication back and forth with Maya was excellent from the get-go. We all felt so relaxed and stronger after the practice. Also, 2 of our friends did a big dive that same afternoon and stated the yog helped them so much get through the dive, as they were well stretched and stronger. I highly recommend booking Maya if you are on the Big Island, she is a gem!!

I'm visiting the big island and staying at the Hilton Waikoloa so the studio was a short 15 minute drive from the hotel. A note about the studio. It can be slightly tricky to find. It's in a shopping center but on the second floor. (Hawaii national bank on ground floor) As a visiting yogi I got the traveling yogi special for 7 days . $70 included mat and water. So literally nothing to bring other than your Bikram readiness. A drop in fee is $20 so if you are coming even three times the week special is a no brainer. Instruction was very good. Both gabe who is a visiting instructor and Yolanda the owner. The studio is super clean and Yolanda put in a Mat surface in the studio. If you like Bikram or like it hot, definitely swing by this lovely studio.

Rules are found on labels throughout the gym amongst equipment that no longer works. Owners inability to maintain patron equipment is mirrored by his inability to grasp any concepts of fitness/health/wellbeing in the first place. Pieces of equipment are neither maintained nor repaired even with the amount of money he collects on a monthly basis. His "credentials" have been earned through regurgitation of information he doesn't embody nor exemplify himself and causes one to wonder. "Is this really a gym that I want to train at ?" More so befitting an exclusive 'club' (drama, gossip and low-vibrational energy abound) rather than an environment conducive or supportive to personal growth is stunning to say the least. The owner "Brian's" power trips are a reflection of his own insecurity of anything going against the grain. The irony of having a gym owner who cares less about each of his members than your typical corporate owned branch chain is agonizing. Train where you are valued for your potential and your effort towards growth; not ostracized by those whom perceive ambition as a threat. C'est la vie.

I would highly recommend Rachel for any level class you are looking for as she was the perfect instructor. I got the chance to work with coaches KC, Tehani, and Kayah and each one of them exemplified what the CF coaching standard should be. They took time to check in with everyone, help with mechanics and technique, and motivate during the workouts. I learned so much from each of them during the warm up that I could take back home with me. Outside of the staff, the community is warm and welcoming.
