My wife and I wanted to take our children to the Grand Canyon for Summer vacation. However, when…read morewe sat down to plan the trip, it seemed overwhelming. So, we reached out to Michelle of MJ's Getaways for assistance. Michelle seemed very professional and knowledgeable. After this initial conversation, she encouraged us to fill out the form on her website. We indeed filled out the form. However, days passed and we did not hear anything. So, my wife called to follow-up. My wife had to leave a message and never received a return phone call. More days passed and we emailed. Same response. Nothing. After two weeks, Michelle finally called my wife to say that we should have an itinerary within forty eight hours. We received nothing. A week later I called and left a message with Michelle's receptionist explaining our situation. I told the receptionist, that I understood if Michelle was too busy to plan our vacation, but we just needed to know something. At this point, we had been waiting on her three weeks. We never received a return phone call or email. Of course, once three weeks pass, cost of flights for six people have now gone up. In the end, she saved us money by us not having to pay her. But she cost us money in increased flights. My wife wound up planning our entire vacation in two days over the weekend. I just do not understand the lack of communication or follow-through on promises made, but not kept.

There is no way I could have planned everything I wanted to do without getting stressed and going a little crazy in the meantime. Tiffany recommended that we meet with her fairly early in our planning process so she could get a good feel of what was top of the list for us to see/do during our trip to Italy. During that time, she also gave us tons of info on each city so we could do a little more research and learn of a few other ideas we had not thought about prior to our meeting. The Global Escapes team is so knowledgeable and easy to work with! They are quick to respond to emails (that's a big plus in my opinion!) and very detail oriented. They made sure we had a detailed daily itinerary of what we were doing with times, street locations/addresses and the names of who would be leading our tours. We were even greeted in our hotel room with an unexpected but awesome welcome gift from Global Escapes! Tiffany set up all of our transportation, both cars and train tickets so everything was smooth sailing! I have already started talking with her about our next international trip planned for 2024. If you are thinking about taking a trip overseas, or even a cruise or river tour, definitely consider Global Escapes. They truly made our experience as easy as possible and left us with nothing to worry about. They are the only way I will travel from now on! I have included a few pictures from our trip to Rome, Florence, Balonga and Milan. My recommendation is to definitely take a couple food tours when traveling to Italy (or anywhere!) It is a fun way to learn about the culture and history while eating your way through the city! Whatever you decide to do, Global Escapes can help you plan it!
