Located under the Claiborne Overpass at Earhart & Claiborne Avenue; this location is fairly new on the radar & this I know to be true, see the previous statement; lol. Liz Belcher, John Fourcade & Sarah Babcock; are excellent in all they do here. I know there are others, but these are the folks I've had the pleasure of interacting/working with. Here is the haven, the place where all New Orleans EMS units live. Here is the place where the very well trained and capable EMS employees check in and out for work. This is where the magic happens. Here is the place where these selfless, hardworking, compassionate, SEVERLY UNDERPAID folks get their marching orders to keep alive/extend the life of the injured/hurt people of the City of New Orleans if they've been involved in trauma or have a medical emergency. The building is nicely designed with classrooms, office space & other assembly areas & a nice spacious kitchen area. Outside in the parking lot, you will find the ambulance units parked & ready for service. Each equipped with devices & medicines used for life saving measures. I see that each unit is inspected & restocked prior to each shift; this is way cool as you're able to ensure that your unit is ready for service. Great place, Great folks, Kudos for all that you folks do to keep the City & Her Citizens ALIVE. ARRIVE ALIVE; this is the mantra!!! Side note: Next door to the EMS area is the Coroner's office & during my visit this area was locked like Fort Knox; I'll have to visit another day for a tour of this facility.

Amy is always on time - if not early. Not only has she been a blessing to the family in general, she is indispensable to my grandmother - especially in her daily tasks. Amy is not just an amazing caregiver. She feels like family. Home Instead worked hard to make sure she was the person to come to the home each day so grandpa could get used to the same smiling face. Home Instead was always there for them....sometimes a few days a week, sometimes 24/7. In the end, before my parents were admitted into a nursing home, Home Instead did everything they could to make the transition easier. I told her Im believing he overdosed on his medicine again and this is part of his condition. She just said well he answered all my questions. I asked her to contact her medical to do and override possibly. She told me they not going to do anything they wasn't available anyway its the weekend. I would like someone to please look into some of these people. I also told her do not bring that clip board for him to sign because this my house and I called she eknored me then told me once he signed he is an adult. And as a nursing mom, I needed a comfortable and safe place to pump. Unfortunately, it took me almost an hour to find someone who knew where the Lactation Room was or even that it existed. When I finally reached the room, it was perfect! Quiet, calming, and appropriately decorated with thoughtfully selected nursing mom artwork. It had all the essentials, including a refrigerator, comfortable chair, breast pads, and milk storage bags. It can be challenging as a breastfeeding mom, as there aren't many places that truly support this. While society promotes breastfeeding and its benefits, designated spaces needed for moms to comfortably nurse are scarce. Spaces like this, really warm my heart. If you're ever in SMH ask for the house supervisor and they'll direct you to the lactation room. Happy pumping!

Throughout the…read moredecades, I have watched the facility grow and expand, including the addition of heart surgery capabilities and a helipad. My stepfather received excellent care during his final days at the hospital, and I have personally received first-rate nursing care during my own procedures and during a hospital stay for pneumonia. Even as the staff has evolved over the years, the quality of care has remained consistently high, and I have found that many residents in the Poplarville and Picayune areas rely on SMH for their medical needs. While I appreciate the quality of care provided, I do have reservations about the hospital joining the Ochsner network; I feel that transitioning from a local facility to part of a large corporate chain slightly diminishes its community-focused identity.

She involved herself…read morein two separate conversations, one being that Newman's would no longer be allowed at our home, and despite her fellow paramedics telling her to stop and to leave, tried to be aggressive with my mother about it instead of going to the ambulance where my bleeding grandmother was. Hopefully, Brandy/Brandi will seek anger management classes. This is beyond reprehensible and the situation in no way required her to be aggressive. It did not affect the immediate care of her patient and she was dismissive of her patient's daily caregiver because she wasn't the patient. Absolutely disgusted I even had to contact Newman's over this.

They refused to get him to crically needed life saving treatment until they were PAID almost $3000 UP FRONT (Yes, he/we paid the money)! This is in fact against the EMTALA law! If you read the reviews online there are frequent references to understaffed, poor working conditions and problems with "equipment". They were our ONLY Option. We felt extorted and strong armed.
