The quality of medical care here is generally good, I have been a patient here for over 10 years…read more It is often hard to get an appointment and they seem to have a high turnover of GP's - not sure of the reason for that. Also the nurses are very nice, caring and efficient. However, the BIG thing that lets this place down is the unfriendly receptionists. They really are old dragons and I can only assume they are either all very unhappy in their work or else they all have chips on their shoulders. No compassion, no cheery greeting - just a cold, steely glare is all they give. I am sure they are all very efficient and get the job done, but when people are sick/wounded/in pain etc, a cheery greeting and a smile can really lift one's spirit. How about it?

This small medical centre way out in Drury is probably the best place that I have been for proper…read moremedical advice and care. It's not the most exciting of buildings, but it's the quality of the staff that is the most important thing. Every time that I've gone here, this place is very busy and bookings are pretty much essential, and even then be prepared to wait for a while. All of the Doctors and nurses that I've seen here are professional, friendly and caring people, and I haven't experienced the treatment that I have received here from anywhere else. I often prefer to make the long drive from the city to go to a GP here instead of booking in at another medical centre around town.

Nothing particularly stands out about it; it's a clean, modern facility, the staff are friendly and professional, and there's on-site parking out the back. I didn't have to wait long for my appointment and the staff were helpful with my questions. They also have their own pharmacy attached to the centre so you can pick up your prescription all in the same visit. Thumbs up.

Without exception I've found all the doctors here to be respectful, unhurried, and warm. It's quite a big place with about eight doctors working there, plus a couple of nurses. The waiting room is comfortable enough, without being too fancy (I hate feeling like I need to put my face on to go to the doctor's) or too scummy (we can't have that). The receptionists are friendly and incredibly efficient, even when it's super busy, an conveniently, there's a little chemist downstairs for picking up prescriptions, as well as a blood test lab for getting any requisite jabs. Also, when you leave, you still have some money in your purse!

I've visited pretty much all the…read moremain Auckland hospitals over the last couple years, and the Manukau Super Clinic puts the rest of them to shame. One, there's free parking. I still find it disgusting that you have to pay for parking at a hospital. It wouldn't be so bad if the money was going to the hospital, if they owned the parking buildings, but they don't. Screw you Wilsons. Anyway, that was off track. So there's free parking, which is handy, and plenty of it. There's one main building with the reception so it's really easy to find out where you have to go. The staff there, namely the nurses, are fantastic. When my mum was in the hospitals she was taken care of really well. The nurses were warm and friendly and never made us feel like we were in their way. There's a family room with a TV. My mum's room was clean and spacious. She said the food wasn't too bad. Definitely the best hospital we've got in Auckland.
