Very pretty inn and lovely porch and flowers. Close to the downtown for easy walking to restaurants and gift shops. Would have rated this establishment higher, but for the lack of service and poor selection for getting a mixed drink. I visited mid-June which is pre-season for maritimes, obviously, but place seemed to have an overabundance of young, inexperienced people at registration desk and hovering around the tiny "bar" area. They were virtually clueless. Another problem I had -which is a rare one-- is that the coffee was watery. I don't like strong coffee but their's was ridiculous! I mentioned this twice to two different waitresses, and it was in one ear and out the other. Lastly, the phone in my room kept ringing almost every hour I was there. I finally unplugged the phone altogether. I mentioned the phone calls to one of the managers and he said that last year there had been a bad fire across the street and, subsequently, the ground had been saturated with water. The telephone lines, ditto. Somehow, the inn receives phantom robocalls a year later AND across the street from the actual fire. One for the books! read more
