After wandering around for a bit, this place caught our attention when a staff member came out and asked if we wanted to look at an English menu. He was so nice about it so we decided to try this place out. Parking: We got off one of the bus stops and walked to this location. It looked like there was street parking nearby. Environment: The staff member that offered us the English menu was very kind and accommodating. He was very patient and spoke a little bit of English. There was outdoor seating as well as indoor and a bar is located right in the middle of the restaurant. Toilets are located to the right of the bar, down the stairs. What was ordered: We had the Burger "Rotonde" with French Fries, the Complete Cheese, and the Bolognese Lasagna. The Burger wasn't anything too special but it was tasty. The Complete Cheese platter was very interesting and had several different cheeses with small baguette slices and jam; too bad the cheeses weren't labeled. The Lasagna was tasty and very creamy but not too heavy. We also had a red wine and a beer to go along with the meal; the wine was great! Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. The food was delicious and the waiter who helped us was patient and pretty cool. He came by very often to check if we were OK and asked if we needed anything. Not a bad find! Credit cards were accepted.

One of them came over to us to explain their menu and the different options we could get. I decided on the cod in creamy sorrel sauce and my girlfriend got the smoked salmon and spinach pie. Both were great, but the best part of the meal was the bread pudding with wine jam that we ordered for dessert. The wife told us that the recipe for the jam was made in-house by the chef who experimented with a few herbs and spices that she at first found doubtful, but very quickly fell in love with (as did we). I'd definitely recommend it. What makes this experience five-star worthy though was the atmosphere. Everyone was so friendly and talkative that I could relax and unwind from a pretty exhausting day. At the other Parisian restaurants we visited, the customers kept to themselves, without much interaction with the staff. Here, I was talking to the tables beside me, and it was actually another couple that suggested we get the bread pudding. Thoroughly enjoyed and wish I could go back. P.S. The wife speaks fluent French (obvously), English, Spanish (wow), and some Chinese (standing ovation right here)

Though the restaurant changed owners in 2012, it remains my all-time favorite restaurant in Paris, and my companions agreed with me too. While the menu in Nov 2022 was limited, as disclosed by the restaurant due to the labor and supply chain constraints, the quality of our meals was top-notch. We enjoyed all the dishes that we ordered that night, with the veal and scallops being the most notable dishes. The service was warm and friendly too.

Despite the dreadful feeling of being unoriginal, and craving a bit more authentic French ambiance, Albion was one of the best meals we had in Paris; the creativity and flavors really stood out from your typical French bistro. There's a reason the tourists flock here (and maybe a few Frenchie foodies, too). The atmosphere is nice and simple, lots of wood and very little decorative flair. There's a wine retail area up front, and the dining & kitchen area in the back. We were seated near the kitchen and loved peeking at the chefs perfect each plate before it was sent out. Both meat & veggies are given equal prominence in the dishes, and the chefs concoct incredible flavors with fresh herbs, unique veggies, and of course... rich sauces. If you're looking for an upscale, creative, memorable meal in Paris, Albion is a worthy choice. French cuisine with an innovative spin, and a welcome emphasis on unique wines.

I wanted to try traditional French food and this place seemed to have really good reviews about it. We decided to stop by at the end of our day for some drinks and for me to enjoy duck confi. When we got there and asked for a food menu they informed us the kitchen had just closed. I was really disappointed we had just missed the service by 30 minutes but we decided to stay and order drinks anyways. After everything me and my friend had gone through to make our way to Paris the experience we had at L'escargot almost ALMOST made up for everything that had gone wrong. Me and my friend had a blast at this bar!! The bartenders spoke english and answered all our questions, they were extremely friendly and the drinks were cheap. The locals at this bar were so amazing as well. They did not speak fluent english but they did make an effort to speak to us and share their bar snacks with us. There was a group of locals celebrating a birthday party and they were dancing and were pulling people off their seats to dance with them. At one point in the night a group of other locals and tourist came in and the atmosphere in this bar got even more vibrant. Like I mentioned before the amazing experience we had in this bar almost made up for all the things that went wrong on our trip to Paris. When I go back and if I am in the area I would love to go back and have another great night like this. If you are in the area I would highly suggest you go just for the ambiance.
