I've visited several times and been impressed on each occasion. My latest visit was for a family birthday, and the evening was lovely. Our group of seven was seated on a large square table, meaning that we had plenty of space and could also talk easily to everyone else. Service was very good, and one of the highlights was a delicious chocolate cake with candles to celebrate the birthday! However all the other courses were excellent too, from the amazingly generous 'amuse' of home-smoked salmon and mackerel rillettes onwards. The food offers thoughtful takes on classic French dishes - I particularly enjoyed a salad of sweetbreads; another high point was the superb cheese tray. In summary, I would recommend this restaurant for a special evening out, but I also mean to return for the lunch menu which offers even better value.

The dining room is light and contemporary; in good weather, an outdoor terrace is also open. There are a choice of menus, all offering contemporary classic French food. I've loved just about everything I've eaten here, from the top-quality seafood platters to the snail and mushroom millefeuille, steak in shallot sauce, salmon en papillotte with spring vegetables As you can tell from that list, there is a range of dishes to suit more or less adventurous eaters; whichever you choose, the quality and execution are outstanding. Vegetarian options are available on the a la carte menu. Service is also excellent, and while it's not cheap (unless you compare it to British prices, when it's a total bargain!) the menus offer excellent value, making this one of my favourite restaurants in France.
