However, the portions were more than expected considering it was gourmet. We couldn't finish our entrees. Good spot for French brunch as it is a top fine-food grocer and deli. Sit outside on the sidewalk. There is an awning/umbrella to block out the sun which was great on a hot day. Note founded in 1894!

Oh my goodness, what a find! We stopped here for no better reason than our apartment was right…read morearound the corner and we were in the mood for a nice French lunch. Such good luck! I started with the free-range eggs with mayo, and my wife started with the leeks with vinaigrette. The eggs were delicious, but the leeks may have been the best preparation I've ever had in my life. For our main courses, she had the egg muffin, and I had the sausage and mash. Our meal was superb. Whoever is in the kitchen has clearly learned the art of French cuisine well. Service was fantastic, the people-watching (we ate al fresco) was fantastic, and I simply couldn't think of a way to make this a better meal.

How was flying out Charles de Gaulle Airport the next day and I just arrived from Frankfurt Germany…read moreby train when I looked up a French restaurant near the Gard du Nords train station and found BB. Luca was my server and he was very welcoming in hospitable to this weary traveler. I sat on the patio towards the end of the row so I could take in the atmosphere and people watch a bit. Luca Recommended a meal with a mashed potatoes and sausage with French bread and salad and it sounded tasty so I gave it a go! All the flavors went well together; mashed potatoes were well seasoned the sausage had a good flavor, and the salad with the vinaigrette added a crunch in an extra flavor as well. I drank a French hard cider while I gobbled up my meal, which also was new for me and tasted great after I was done my meal. Luke brought me a shot with rum and some other ingredients, including lemon that definitely hit the spot after a good meal.I recommend Brasserie Belanger for anyone near GDN Train Station that enjoys great food and patio dining. Cheers!

We stopped here during a brief visit to Amiens. It ended up being an excellent "locals" restaurant…read morewith fabulously friendly owners making great food from scratch. To see this place classified as "Fast Food" here on Yelp makes me sad, because this isn't Quick Burger. AT ALL. My father had the steak au poivre and I had the veal stew. Both were excellent, and the portions were huge. The value for the money is excellent. What really earned this 5-star review, though, was the creme brulee, which stands out as the greatest single example of the dish I've ever had in my life, ever, bar none. Period. It was the best. I still dream about it, and part of the reason for my review here is so I can adequately bookmark this restaurant, so the next time I'm in Northern France I will happily drive an hour or so out of my way to eat here. It's the stuff that dreams are made of.

I had my first ever Gizzard Salad, as a starter, which was delicious. That was followed up by Calf Head. It was okay, but it could have been my mental state that hindered the taste. All this was followed by the best Crème Brûlée I've ever eaten. Truly smooth and yet tasty in the crunchy. The latest reviews of 6-9 years ago meant the establishment has stayed true to its past culinary variety and awesome taste.
