Wonderful experience here for a spa day this past Sunday. My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate my birthday. Though it was the beginning of March, they allowed us to use their February promotion which was 99$+tax for 4 hour access to their Nordic spa (though we were there for 8h and nobody seemed to mind), a 60 minute treatment, rental of towel and bathrobe, lunch at their bistro and 1-hour in their dream circuit. When we reserved, we paid half the amount and the other half upon arriving. This was ridiculously good value and worth every penny. When we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff who gave us a tour of the facilities. There are two baths, two dry saunas, a eucalyptus steam sauna and two heated relaxing areas. The main building has a lounge area with a fireplace and chess set, the bistro, and the changing rooms. It was a very charming atmosphere with lots of wood and old-style accents. Some could say it could use an update but we found it relaxing and charming. The amenities were all clean and we loved the outdoor spa. For our 60 minute treatment, we chose a couples Swedish massage. We were led to a small cabin with windows overlooking the river and were treated to wonderful massages by Lina and Lynn. So relaxing! The dream circuit was 20 minutes in a full body massage chair, 20 minutes in this leg compressing machine (supposed to improve circulation) and 20 minutes in either the Siberian sauna or the infrared light sauna. We enjoyed the circuit but wouldn't necessarily pay extra to do it again because we preferred other aspects of the day. Lunch was pretty good. I enjoyed my croque Monsieur and salad but it was nothing to write home about. Tea and coffee was included. One aspect that could be improved was the fact that nearly all the while towels had stains on them which is pretty gross. I really think they should replace these towels because it could come off as unclean. Also, it is absolutely not accessible to those in a wheelchair or who have difficulty walking stairs. Though they put a ton of salt outside, we did slip a few times so I wouldn't recommend this place to people who might have difficulty with this. Overall, we had a fantastic day surrounded by nature and relaxation and was treated extremely well by the staff. Next time we would love to stay the night in a room on site. If you don't mind a less fancy and more rustic spa experience or if you're on a budget, I recommend this place. 4.5 stars read more
I went here with my friends for the Wednesday day package and it was quite an experience. The Wednesday package is a pretty good deal (you can check it's details on their website) We went in the middle of November so it wasn't too busy and we were able to relax and use everything we had access to, including lunch. The massage was incredible and they give an insurance receipt with it which is great. My only issue was when we arrived, we were given a full tour of the place. The person giving us the tour did not mention that apparently a room called "The Dream Room" is not not included in our package. This room is essentially two massage chairs that you'd find in a mall and it had one person sauna. We assumed it's part of our package and used the massage chair. In like 5 mins, someone came out and very aggressively told us that we were not allowed in the room. I suppose we should have known, but the person could have been a little more polite about it since we really weren't trying to score a free massage off a chair right after our appointment with the massage therapist. I would probably not be going back solely based on this mistreatment and I'd rather take my business to all the other similar Nordic spas around the area. But I would recommend it to others since overall the experience was good. They are also one of the few locations that are bilingual and not purely French. read more

It's too bad- the possibilities for this place are endless. We came over from Montreal to spend 2 spa days and one night. Apart from the heavy traffic outside it's not bad the river drowns out the truck noise mostly. Problem I had was I'm allergic to paint an chemicals and had a major asthma attack after they not only put me in a freshly painted room but the whole buliding was just painted and the fumes were terrible. Toxic paint. Toxic varnish . All I wanted was some fresh air but got poison instead. Get up - go down to hot tub and they are hammering and doing repairs. No rest anywhere in this life . For that I paid 200$ and they wouldn't refund me so now I have to call my credit card company, since I was not able to sleep or enjoy the room. It's advertised as a spa hotel but the fumes are disgraceful. Beware too of very large biting spiders near river! read more

Our stay: I just got back from a weekend spa getaway with my boyfriend, at Auberge Beaux Reves. We bought a package that included a night stay, two treatments each, dinner and breakfast, plus access to the nordic baths and saunas. The hotel room included a bath tub with jets and a fire place that warmed the room - it was very clean, and quaint. For our treatments, I opted for a facial and a massage, my boyfriend opted for a mud body wrap and a massage. We had the massage in our room. We opted for La Chitarra restaurant as our dinner option on the Saturday. Treatments: I've been to nordic baths before and have received many massages - I always have problems with my back and so I try to frequently go to salon. This massage was hands down one of the best I've had - we both paid an extra 10$ for a "therapeutic" (deep tissue) massage, and it was well worth it. Both our therapists were very friendly, and really worked hard to relax us but also work out the tough parts in our backs. My facial was nice, gentle, but nothing super special. My boyfriend loved the body wrap treatment. Spa: The main bath is super nice, made with a bunch of little seats where couples can relax with semi-privacy. There weren't that many people there on the weekend that we went so we had most of the facilities to ourselves. The saunas (two dry and one steam) were nice, the steam sauna sometimes was a bit too hot but I think that's just a preference thing. Food: We didn't eat the breakfast in the morning (ends at 10am, we wanted to stay in our warm room - which was in a different building), and didn't eat at the restaurant in the spa, so I can't tell you how the food was. Though on the Saturday, in between breakfast and our dinner, we were able to have a snack (chips and salsa) which one of that staffers prepared for us even though the kitchen was closed. We ate dinner at La Chitarra and were pleasantly surprised. It was a 5min drive, there was reasonable amounts of parking when we got there. We got a little nook in the restaurant all to ourselves, our waitress was very attentive. I ate the veal and my partner ate the filet mignon skewer as our main - it was all very tasty. A decent french/italian style restaurant - not quite my nonna's cooking but not bad either. Bookings: It didn't take us long to book. We emailed them, they called back quickly. We were able to call them later in the month to book the treatments. They asked us to pay when we got there, but told us that we would be charged after we left. We were called after we left so that they could confirm additional charges. Everything was very proper and professional. Minor complaints: The reception is very busy, often on the phone while you wait to get something. Because it was quiet, the saunas weren't always on and we would have to wait for them to warm up. No conditioner in the bathrooms (in hotel room or in the spa bathrooms) so my hair got very dry after being in all that water. And yes, the auberge is very close to the highway, so you do hear some traffic in the main bath, but it really wasn't that bothersome. Overall: Very happy with my experience! I feel relaxed and I had such a romantic weekend with my boyfriend. I would definitely recommend this place again. read more

Terrible! À évitez! This is a terrible spa! Avoid! They have a nice location, but the actual facilities are very unimpressive and dirty. I went once with my girlfriend and we were seriously disappointed with the baths and sauna. We decided to give it a second try after we heard that they had done renovations this year and they happen to have a Groupon going. I tried reserving several times, but they were never able to give me a date. I was told I would be called back and they never did. When I called back, I couldn't reach someone who could reserve for me. Basically, they showed little or no interest in booking my reservation. Finally, we got a spot after several days of trying. Unfortunately, my girlfriend broke her toe just before our reservation date, and we found out later by her doctor that she should avoid heat as much as possible. Naturally, we decided against going that day! We called later to reschedule, but they refused to honour our coupon, claiming that it is now void since we did not go on the original date. Not only is this uncourteous and unprofessional, it has completely turned me off ever going here again! They are crooks and don't seem to know much about hospitality. NOT WORTH IT! This spa is a low key oasis in the Laurentian mountains. Located just an hour from downtown montreal, this small peaceful spa is great for a couples weekend away. We stayed in a cosy yet spacious queen suite which included a small balcony overlooking the river, fireplace and a jacuzzi tub which was totally worth the slight increase in price from a regular room. We also opted for a package deal including an hour long couples Swedish massage and a 4 course meal at la Chitarra restaurant (excellent and delicious). Overall this was a fantastic weekend escape for two at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended! read more

We really loved this place, the spa in winter is amazing and relaxing. Our package was for 1 night, skiing, massage, dinner, and breakfast. Our room was adorable and cozy, no TV which I loved, they had antique furniture in our room which was super charming. The balcony overlooked the river and the spa. Silvy was so helpful and kind but the older gentleman at reception was rude and made me feel somewhat uncomfortable. My husband went to snowboard and I stayed back in the spa and had a massage and a body wrap; both of which were unbelievable, so amazing! :) The massage was done in little cabins outside over looking the river, Nicole was really great! I could seriously stay in the outdoor spa all day long soaking. It was salt-water and so clean. So romantic going out there at night with my husband. We had dinner at Chez Milot? (i hope i spelled that right) It was incredible. 4 course meal, bring your belly. We were stuffed! The only thing we didn't like was my husband wasn't able to snow board. They had the majority of the runs at Belle Neige closed due to ice and even the open ones were too icy and filled with kids who made it impossible to board. They wouldn't refund the skiing part of our package, the package would have been significantly cheaper without the skiing. So it felt like a waste. However, although this place may seem pricey with their packages, I highly recommend it, I could have moved in. I highly recommend it and will definitely visit again! read more

My wife and I went for a weekend getaway in the summer and really enjoyed ourselves, booked a suite and it was perfect, lots of space with a balcony and big tub. It's a small Inn on a beautiful river, not busy with tons of people, plenty of areas to sit back and relax in nature. Our package had a massage, dinner in town and continental breakfast, the massage overlooking the river great. Enjoyed going to Ste Adele and a nice meal, wine was extra. Continental breakfast had lots of options. Bought lunch there and it was really nice for a very reasonable price. We will go back. read more

Stayed for a night with my girlfriend, and I have I have nothing but good things to say about this place. The scenery is absolutely fantastic with the saunas and spa overlooking the river flow in the background. The staff is very well mannered and friendly, and the overall vibe is very relaxing. I experienced my first ever massage in a building that overlooks the river with nice music playing and I couldn't have been more satisfied with the experience. If you're thinking of a place to relax, then I couldn't recommend this place to you more. It was a great experience. read more

Just got back from a one night stay and it was amazing! The staff was extremely friendly, the spa facilities were very clean and the room was beautiful. I had a massage in one of the cabins overlooking the river and it was one of the best treatments i have ever gotten. I also enjoyed two meals, including breakfast and lunch and I was once again impressed. Overall i had a very relaxing stay and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a break. read more
