The minute I set eyes on CHAS, I just knew we'd be friends. I'd pass by everyday and gaze lovingly…read moreat the stock filling up, waiting for the day Stirling's newest charity shop would open its doors to the people of Stirling. The window display looked great and the shop had a trendy vintage feel about, similar to the chic charity shops you'd find on Glasgow's Byres Road. Each time I walked past, I felt like the shop was teasing me with all it's second-hand vintage goodies. I could look but I couldn't touch... ....Until the shop opened and I could finally fulfill my thrifty desire. Wow, wow, wow! The place is huge and filled with lovely things. Velvet pencil skirt. Fringed flapper mini. Green safari jacket. Everything was lovely and beautiful and so many pieces caught my eye. Impressive considering the shop had only just opened! With more than a handful of garments, I popped to the changing room. The changing room is GIANT! - More like a dressing room with a little chair and quirky decorations. With such roomy changing facilities, you might as well make the most of them! Dance, skip, jump. Give yourself a personal fashion show! Why not?! You've certainly got the spacial capacity and you'll be looking dapper in your new clothes! Seriously though, you will not be struggling for space in there. Staff were really very friendly. The manager of the Byres Road CHAS was in for the afternoon and insisted on holding the changing room curtain closed for me, ensuring that there wasn't a gap whilst I changed! - There's nothing worse than that dreaded gap, making for the quickest change in the history of quick-changes. So, I was in no rush and had plenty of time to make my choices. (Don't worry, I overheard them say that they're getting some velcro to sort out the gap. Gap no more!) I left chuffed with an oversized houndstooth coat (£9.99!) and a pearl-style necklace. CHAS may be the newest charity shop in town but it's definitely my favourite so far! Step aside, charity shops of Stirling. - There's a new kid in town!

There are quite a few different entrances and it can be easy to lose your sense of direction. It has a large Debenhams and has the back door to M&S. There is a Primark too, albeit a small one. There are also the essentials for a place like this including Zara, Next, Boots and Topshop. The centre has two car parks. One has 1000 spaces and one has 350 spaces. They do a very good deal on Sundays, where they charge £2 for the whole day! Much better than the extortionate prices in Edinburgh and Glasgow. There were plenty of lifts and toilets. For a Sunday, it really didn't seem that busy. Even Primark, known to be a hellhole at peak times, was very peaceful and tidy! I suppose the reason for 3 stars is that it is a shopping centre - but it is modern and convenient. One thing that needs to be improved is the ex-BHS which is still lying empty. The Murray Place exit is worse though.

An okay little shopping mall. It has a typical collection of shops and cell phone retailers…read more Definatley not a luxury shopping center, but one that you can spend the day at losing your hard earned (or easily earned) money. Call me blind, but I never saw a food court, but then again, I wasn't looking for one. I'm glad I stumbled into this place though because I was beginning to think that my GPS had lied to me about a shopping center being in this location, and if there is one thing I can't stand, it's a lying GPS. I made a few purchases and bumped into a security guard making his rounds, but other than that there is not much else to say. The center was clean and well lit. It also had an interesting little children's play area that consisted of a spider made of wood with a metal slide. I was amazed because that would never fly in my country. Parents would be up in arms threatening lawsuits if the shopping center didn't immediately encase the play spider in extra padded foam rubber. Kudos to you parents of Stirling! Sometimes a child has to knock his head on something to learn about gravity.
