We thought it was great. We were in town to visit my mom who was also visiting here and we came here because we heard the soup was good. I was planning on getting it but when I saw the fajita spaghetti I became conflicted. I hadn't ever had/heard of this before. I remember feeling conflicted about barbecue spaghetti when I was younger and was glad I tried it. Today I'm glad I tried fajita spaghetti too. Very comfortable food. I imagine that there is probably a way to weld spaghetti onto any type of cuisine and have it work out. Our waitress was very kind, conversational, and patient with our boys. When they were getting restless waiting for us to finish eating and talking, she entertained their idea to install a rope from the ceiling so that they could swing on a rope while grownups are eating. Wasn't really sure where that idea was going to go but she played along with them while they were working it out. We will go again someday for sure. read more

Hubby and I were craving Mexican food and decided we would check this place since Los Aztecas was so packed so. First time was a good experience. Waitress was very nice and food was not bad. We decided to go back for dinner. I had the mixed fajita plate and hubby got the same burrito he did last time. My food came out pretty quick and his burrito took forever. We're from Texas so we are well aware of how Mexican food is prepared, my hubby is Hispanic. Seems like his burrito was sitting for a while before it was brought out. A burrito is quick to make, no way my fajitas came out first. Unless it's not as fresh as everyone says...my plate had chicken. He told the waitress and she was like is it cause of the sour cream or the meat? Hmmmm...this complaint must've occurred before possibly? So she went to get the manager and first thing she said was "Hi. What's the issue?" Really? She acted like my husband was lying and she talked to him in Spanish. Was she trying to hide what she was saying since she was blaming it on him like it was his fault. He stopped speaking to her in Spanish and started speaking her in English, then she pumped the breaks. A simple apology would've been okay. We were understanding and just wanted to let her know and you would've paid and been on our way. Not get treated like shit. We asked for the check, paid and left. It wasn't the waitress's fault so I still tipped her, hope she got the tip! What I feel is most fucked up is that I don't believe she would've treated a non Hispanic the same. She would've kissed ass...definitely not going back! I'd rather cook my own Mexican food at home. All we wanted was to support the locals and find a regular spot for Mexican food. PS now I know why it's never packed and Los Aztecas always is packed. Gotta check them out and hope we have better service. read more

I wanted something other than fast food for lunch. As we were driving through Selmer, I found this restaurant had good reviews online so we stopped in. The food was so fresh and delicious with huge servings from the lunch menu. We left with extras and to-go cups filled with tea. I would absolutely stop here again on my way through town! read more

The fajita spaghetti made me sick. You can tell it's just sitting in water and they put it in the plate. Who knows what is in the water. The "steak" was not good at all. I couldn't eat it and later got sick from it. I don't care how cheap the beer is you couldn't pay me to go back. read more

Waitress are polite , first time I wen there everything was good I thought I found my go to place. This time I went the food came out fast the waitress was helpful and polite . As I was eating my meal I noticed it wasn't warm mind you I ordered same thing I ate last visit , but this time as I was eating it the next bite was cold like it just came out of an ice box I place my plate to the side I was disgusted by the coldness of the meat I couldn't continue. Waitress asked me if everything was ok and I stated that it was cold she asked if it was the sauce of the meat and I told her the meat . Later here come another young lady asking " what's the issue " I told her it was cold meat then she tried to explain but I told her why last time I didn't have that issue. She tried to make it seem like I didn't want to pay which I still offered to pay but I just wanted to let her know since she asked. She had a very condescending tone with me and went back to the kitchen and I can see the staff and hear the staff taking about me . I speak both English and Spanish fluently so I understood. Once I spoke on English she changed her tone a bit , but none the less she was rude In the way she handled it . Good food, portions are crazy big but that's SUPER amazing for the price you get. They're guac is good, same with the rice and retried beans. They do to-go orders for an extra .35 cents on every item, extremely reasonable! They do have a lot of Latino staff, I had a very nice guy, who had a semi-thick accent so it was a little tough to understand him. I now live in Washington, DC. But, when I lived in Selmer, TN this was the best Mexican Restaurant I had EVER been too! They are fast, friendly and did I mention fast? Im pretty sure they have all the food pre-made for dinner rush. But the food is great and hot. I have never been to this place and not left with a smile on my face! You sit, your drinks are in front of you in just a few mins. Great costumer service in my opinion! =) Coming from a city living most of my life.
